  1. We are former snowbirds now residents in Florida. We moved in 2019, and spend about 7 months in Fl. Our community in Ft Myers has Bills parties for the games and mostly we use the Sunday ticket on Directv......but only for 2022 going forward, as Directv is losing the ST after that. We have watched games at a number of venues in the Fort Myers areas , McPartlans on Summerlan had a big crew years ago watching the Bills but I hated the cow bells so me moved on. Don't know if they still do that there.
  2. Gilmore was not a pro here in his last stint. Laid off tackleing during his last (Wrex) season here to protect himself at the expense of the team. Bad attitude players like him are better off elsewhere. And, based on what he said about Buffalo area when he was here , he was never c oming here anyway. Beane, of course, had no way to read the old clippings and know what Gilmore really thought.
  3. I am somewhat amused at those who were against state funding of the new stadium, predominantly NYC folks. And, NYS did not help with the reno of Yankee stadium...it was NYC that did the public financing of the Yankee stadium project. Does NY State help the city with other matters regarding their budget, you bet! So, the state taxpayer indirectly helped with the Yankee Stadium project, whereas the state tax payer will be helping directly with the new WNY stadium. No difference imho. As for the downtown initiative, as a former season ticket holder (to old to walk in now) I would never try the traffic disaster that a downtown Bills game would be....I have been to Sabres games, and multiple the cars by5. That might take all night to clear out of the city.
  4. Brady's contract w Tampa Bay is $14 mil this year.....(yes) That makes Tampa Bay the fav for the Superbowl as they can afford the free agent pieces around him to stack the roster. Perhaps they will give him a raise though.
  5. Hmmm, when I need to prove legally that I have traveled a certain route on a certain day, I use paper boarding passes for that. (tax matters among other things) I guess I won't be able to prove I attended a Bills game, however, if I ever care. Oh well, not likely to come up.
  6. The Bills have been known to leak disinformation ahead of the draft. Or, is that the Sabres......
  7. Scorched earth agent, oh well.
  8. Virginia Tech was the source institution as I recall.....
  9. I thought Singletary found his grove the last 6 games or so in 21....before that he wasn't his normal self. So, his stats were not as good for the year.
  10. Diggs is part of the heartbeat of the team. Bean will try to keep/pay him. Unless a draftee shows up as a true #1. Even then Diggs should stay around if the Bills can afford it. He is positive energy.
  11. A bunch of new cooks in the room w Dorsey. Shula, Kromer, and others. McD will be there sometime also. So, gonna be different. Of course, in Caroline, Shula was the coordinator and Dorsey was the QB coach. (the group that ruined Cam Newton btw) I will be unconvinced until I am convinced by actual performance.
  12. I think the O with new coaches all through the ranks will take some time to find itself. The roster is pretty good in many places, but needs filling in a couple of times yet. I expect 10-7 or 11-6 as a result of finding their way while playing the season. We have been spoiled by coordinator stability beyond normal limits.
  13. The Bills were innoculated against hiring stupid people after the Vonte Davis fiasco. Davis retired at halftime, AB walked out while t he team was on the field. AB will never be a Bill.
  14. Gilmore refused to try to stop the runs his way during his last season. He didn't want to get hurt! He is a wuss ala Dion Sanders in that regard. We don't need a bad actor like that. He is capable of quiting on the job as we saw back then. Another Vonte Davis like act, just slightly less abrupt. Keep bad character guys out of Buffalo!!!
  15. Parker can play, but not surprised he got traded. The Phins always trade their B grad players (witness Tannehill)
  16. Great athlete but his lack of football experience could not be overcome on a practice squad, even for three years. You gotta play to know the game.
  17. I knew the joke half way through the title.....
  18. I would rather the Bills m ove back and pickkup a 2 or 3s
  19. Interesting rumor....sounds very Bean like. I don't like the practice, but I don't run a franchise for a living.
  20. Well, he was with the Jests, and who knows if he can really coach or not! We will see. Marv Levy did great in his second try at an NFL HC job.
  21. If its on the books, call it.
  22. This actually a good idea. Its always good for the various individuals to know each other before the real evaluations have to occur to make a hire. The lack of a network is a big disadvantage in hiring situations This is a start on breaking down those societal walls. Other measures pre hiring assessment also could be considered. One needs to recognize that putting a billion plus dollar investment in the hands of an individual requires confidence in making the offer. Who you know matters as communication up and down the line is critical and the communications have to be easy, not formal. Such networking also allows the applicant to decide if they really want to work for a given individual. Personally, I am indifferent to race in hiring. Pick the best candidate, if they perform, great. If not, fire them and move on to another candidate.
  23. You just made what is called "an availability pool argument" Its a valid concern, and objectives in other court ordered hiring/promotion actions take that factor into account. The NFL just lacks the smarts on how to handle this right now.
  24. I still remember him as the guy who cheap shotted Aaron Williams. Hope he is done, thugs not needed in the NFL.
