  1. Spiller will get his yards, I am saying another 100plus game. Fitz will have a good game.......but so will Lynch. Close game to call, Bills would win 4 of 10 if they played 10. Still not consistent enough. Of course, a couple of big plays could turn it around. McKelvin could do it, Graham could do it, Spiller could do it. Who Knows, thats why they play the games.
  2. Michael Vick paid his debt to society. OK, I get that. But he is not the person I want the kids in WNY looking at in a Bills uniform. And, I have seen Vick in person in the Ralph as the Atlanta QB.......a scrambler without a great arm...never get you to the SB...and already north of 30. Bottom line....we will never see Vick in a Bills uni.....IMO finally, I am thinking whatever it takes to get Landry Jones....all those starts in the OK uniform.....he can play.
  3. Just recall, Aaron Rodgers was a #1, and sat for 3 years before playing. OK, he was behind Farve...but, still...at least one year of grooming is appriopriate to save on field education mistakes.
  4. I remeber all the happy talk about James Hardy. But, the guy was incredibly slow and couldn't play at all, save the jump ball pass at which he excelled at 6'6 or whatever he was. I am not sure I believe any of the predraft hype. I would go for the speed guy every time.
  5. Buddy has excelled at combing the corners of the league for players. We got Urbik, Reinhart, Chandler that way......reports of his mistakes are legit, but remember the good moves also!
  6. Well, the truth is the Buffalo market will not support the ticket price structure that can be had in Toronto (or in many other large markets) Hence, the winning record would not change the finicial calculus much. Selling out Ralph Wilson Stadium at current prices still has a significant disadvantage to selling out the Rogers center. Hence, the money men will prefer a big market venue. That includes all the visiting teams as well, since they get a share of the live gate. So, I don't buy the on field performance argument vs a via the need to have a Toronto game or two. If that keeps the bills in Buffalo, I am all for it!
  7. Actually, the list is longer than those two. Urbik and Reinhart also have to be resigned. Thats the top 3 guards, and we surely have to get Urbik. Reinhart is a starter on other teams as well.....hope we don't loose him. And, somewhere out there is t he end of Woods contract.....I think he may have one more year. Spiller has two more I think. George Wilson also will need to be resigned, but I am wondering about that. With Aaron Williams a bust at CB, he may be moved to safety, DeNorris Searcy is already there, And, frankly, Ron Brooks would be a great safety as well, a hitter with ball skills, depending on if his very average speed is adequate on the corner or slot.
  8. Actually, I am tired of trying three years and out, lots of confusion with a new system. Of course, the 3/4 4/3 switches have rendered the D useless for much of the last three years. The last few games are the only time in that period where I have seen a real NFL defense! And, the O is definitely better than any of the Jauron years, they were in the bottom 4 or 5 in those years. I think if the D had been better, Gailey would have had a better record than the Jauron years. I think they finally have it right (almost), it still can get better with better personnel, esp at LB. None the less, at this point, the O and the D are better than the Jauron years. No desire to go back there. And, yes, the personnel are better, and I agree, the strength of the O is the Oline and rb. QB and WR could be better, but are not total diasters. And, I think Fitz is better than Losman or Edwards ever were on their best days.
  9. Edwards was already washed up when gailey came on board. I think Gailey tried him on for size at Ralph Wilson's request. That owner driven tryout lasted two games. When Mr Wilson finally saw the light, Chan used the ax. Just my guess.....as Ralph was proud to say, at one time, that he helped draft Edwards.
  10. Or use the TE as an H back and have him block.....
  11. He could ride back from Toronto on the team bus! Or do the Bills fly?
  12. Yep, McKelvin has played well on the outside the last 5 or 6 games. He has the speed to do so. He is not a great hitter, but can tackle. Now, about Brooks....good hitter, coverage skills, but slower than a CB needs to be. He could not run down the returner (Hilton) on the kickoff return in the Indy game....he was outclassed speed wise. Hilton is a wide out! Look at the film, I studied it several times. He seems like a safety to me....and, alas, Williams is also a safety. So, if McKelvin is not resigned by the Bills (he will get big money in the league somewhere), the Bills will once again need a CB with speed...read early rounds into that statement, maybe another #1.
  13. To those who want to lose out...wt_ .....I hate the Jets and phins.....always, love to see the NY media cry when the Jets lose. And, Seatle might be in the hunt, would love to knock them off and out. Sorry, I can't support the lose out scenrio. However, that does not make it any less likely to happen.
  14. Chan will get another year, and, I guess I can support that decision. He is light years better than Jauron. You all need to think back....to that worse time.
  15. This one was not on the QB.
  16. Not Gailey's best moment for sure. I can't understand how he doesn't get the Spiller issue......I guess he has to go....I am regretful, since I think the team is better thna anytime in the Jauron era. I guess his fault is picking his people and sticking with them, even when they don't do the job........needed to get Spiller 20 touches, and then, if they lost, I could say he gave it a good shot. Spiller with single digit touches means a new head coach. The current one is a slave to his preconcieved notion of how things are.
  17. Gailey absolutely doesn't get it that Spiller needs 20+ touches, and Fred Jackson isn't the Fred of last year...he has lost a step for sure, likely the injuries and age. Hopefully Jacksons injury will make him play Spiller more, but who knows, he likes Choice.
  18. D is better these few games, but they need to mix it up some more, they are horrifyingly predictible.
  19. I had season tickets in front of his box, before the lower row of boxes was put in, for maybe 15 years. When I say in front, I mean, if he spilled his drink, the back of my shirt got wet. Over that time, I spoke to him a number of times. I learned one thing. If the game was going on, don't even think about talking to him, he is all fan, watching the game. He is very sociable during half time and before/after...very nice guy. I was there the day the fans took the goal post down and brought one leg up to him. I was there the day OJ, the sportscaster leaned in standing in my seat and interviewed Mr Wilson. I overheard (really not intentionally) many conversations, especially with his daughter Linda (RIP) who knew a lot about the game. They talked most about players. Despite the criticism he gets on this board, Mr Wilson is a gentleman, and a genuine nice guy in my view. I wish him well, and hope his physical problems will resolve themselves.
  20. If you want to live in the big city (Atlanta), Georgia Tech is the way to go!
  21. This will be a tough one for the Bills at home. They can win, but their consistency is not yet proven. A good effort tomorrow would make me a lot more optimistic going into the Seahawks game. Two in a row would be great . Three in a row would be super great.
  22. I won't pay to see the felon play. OK, he did his time and was contrite. But, I choose who to associate with in my life, and people like him are not on my play list. But, I am small potatoes in this discussion, I only have four season tickets. Wouldn't matter to Mr Brandon I am sure.
  23. The issue of Fitz remaining with the team is an interesting one. In the best of worlds, Fitz plays until the next generation is ready, ala Kaepernick, Rogers etc, and then stays around a season or two to mentor and relieve. (they do that in baseball, why not football?) The issue is whether Fitz has the mentality to do that. two decades ago, Kelly did not have that mentality, any new QB would have been treated as a competitor by Kelly....so he wasn't going to mentor a young guy. Just wondering....because we need to get the next generation soon, and although there have been good rookies this year, I remember lots of busts in the first rounds as well. (Health Schuler , anyone?)
  24. With the record this year, we won't be seeing a brutal schedule......
