Donald Jones had kidney transplant & trying baseball

Knocked Naaman rossevelt off the roster, I wonder is he is still around football? -
I am not sure I would write off anybody just because they didn't get it done in Oakland.

Don't pick Ebron! His tryoust show him to have stone hands, can't catch them all, drops a substantial percentage. That is NOT a TE I want, don't care if he can run like a deer.

Who believes in Manuel?
bigK14094 replied to Chi-town Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just read an article on NBC Sports (don't know how to get a link) on how Charlie Cassely thinks that EJ Manuel would rank #8 in this years QB draft class......list those he thinks are better. (the usual suspects on that list) pretty discouraging as a Bills fan. Now, CC is not all seeing, but, after watching EJ all season, I have to say he hasn't shown much yet......in either escapability or arm strength/accuracy. He needs to show or move over this year. The Bills are woefully thin at QB, and not a prospect of a move to strengthen. I guess they have no choice but to let EJ have another season to develope. Gm and Head coach jobs on the line with this, I think. although, perhaps the trust in charge/Brandon will not rock the boat during a sale activity. -
Who believes in Manuel?
bigK14094 replied to Chi-town Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has good professional habits, I guess......I hate to ask this, but how different are his numbers for his first year than JaMarcus Russell. I haven't seen the pro arm to throw long....I am a season ticket holder, so I have seen him in person a number of time. Thad Lewis has shown a better long ball arm than Manuel so far. Manuel misses on the routes along the sideline are particularily bothersom. -
Report: Monday Night Football - Packers at Bills

Yeh, and the Bills picked Romo 5 times, and lost anyhow. -
Who is going to catch E.J.'s 20 Touchdown Passes
bigK14094 replied to oman128's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think Hackett throws the ball enough and enough deep to get 30 TD's passing a season. I am thinking that both EJ an Hackett are still unproven. those are the biggest question marks for the O. EJ's arm is still not proven....he struggled mightly throwing a few deep balls, and missed OB many times on sideline throws. I am some discouraged about his ability to throw/pro arm. -
Schefter: Bills tried acquiring Chris Johnson

Spiller isn't OJ.....but, on the breakaways, he is just as good. He just can't pound it inside as well. the blocking is also an issue. I think somebody will give CJ a boatful of money, and the Bills will loose him. Getting insurance behind CJ is necessary, and I think they will draft at least one back, maybe two. Practice squad fodder at least. Somebody who knows the playbook and could come in if needed. -
Greetings from a Browns Fan
bigK14094 replied to Cleveland Rocks?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Welcome to the board. I always though the Browns fans would show up in force when the Bills were at home against them. but, there has not been a great deal visitors from Cleveland when they were here. glad you are starting a trend. You are welcome here in Buffalo, and most buffalo fans will treat you well. (Not like Pittsburg, don't wear your colors there, you will be abused. (family experience on that, btw) I felt that your coach down there got the quick hook on his contract....hope they have to pay him the whole deal....one year is not exactly a trial. I am guessing that that he burned his bridges with the management, and that was the cause. Pettine was very good hear, and the other comments here are right on. the lack of run defense kept them from being all world. to many 80 yard runs for TD's against the bills. I would like to hit Cleveland for a visit, see a Cavs game.....I confess I sort of follow the blue Jays though. Have never been to Cleveland....maybe that will change soon. -
Crossman & "core" special teamers
bigK14094 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, the employment of coaches is a complex calculus. Marrones selection and handling of Crossman is not smart on the face of it. But, the coaching fraternity is networked pretty good, and I speculate that Marrone's handling of Crossman impacted favorability of hiring of Schwartz as DC. Schwartz could have sat home and collect his 5 mil from the Lions....but he choose to come to work for the Bills. That was a big plus for the bills...probabily bigger than the negative of retaining Crossman. But, still, this special teams coaching thing so reminds me of the Wade Phillips/Ronnie White case of yesteryear. So, Marrone is in charge, and we are going with his decisions and instinct on coaaching. I am on board...but concerned as are we all, I guess. -
A better deal than keeping DaRick Rogers I think

First round pick must be a pass rusher.
bigK14094 replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, Jerry Hughes and his 10 sacks are in the last year of their contract, and a replacement seems in order. But, I am guessing that another need will take presidence. And, more important to resign Darius. -
Mary not equipped to run the team......that is why the trust exists , to help her run it until it can be sold. Nobody in the family equipped to run it or wants to run it. That is not a negative relative to Mrs Wilson......it was a reality that Mr Wilson recognized, so he set it up this way. If there had been an interested son, another story altogether. (see the Davis family in Oakland) Nothing surprising going on here in my view.

All this Evans talk has nervous. Kid had a meltdown in the A&M bowl game this year........lost his cool big time and was removed from the game...stupid penalities etc etc. He may be the role physically, but the Bills would be buying a potential "problem child" . He did not look to me like he had a pro head on his shoulders. Maybe not as bad as Dez in Dallas, but not a player ready to handle himself like Woods was last year.

Update: Keeping An Eye On Toronto's Ambitions
bigK14094 replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A waterfront stadium will be a diaster....the infrastructure to get folks in and out just isn't there. Not enough roads, period. The Sabres have maybe 20K folks, and that crowd ties it up pretty good. Now, think 5 times that many folks. Just isn't going to work, and folks will stay away after one taste of that traffic mess. So, I guess I advocate inland somewhere........if the current stadium can't be make to work. Batavia makes some sense to me....Niagara Falls a lot less, even though I live in Niagara county. Canadian fans coming now could still get to the Falls easy, but not going to attract more fans from Canada, not any easier than Buffalo. Rochester fans are real Bills fans (and others points east) Lets make our bet on them....for a successful regionalization. -
Update: Keeping An Eye On Toronto's Ambitions
bigK14094 replied to ICanSleepWhenI'mDead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Toronto Metro population clearly is not interested in the NFL....football fans have the CFL, I have engaged in arguments with CFL fans.....not going to turn those folks away from their game (3 downs, really, oh well) Media types in Canada might covet NFL level exposure, but it would be a long long road in my view, and suggest it would be a bad move to try to transplant the NFL to Toronto. -
Gragg can't catch when defended. Saw that last year...omho...he is camp fodder, thats all. Undersize etc.
-
Carrington college ball in Arkansas....maybe the Rams were closer to home..........just sayin.

Rams, Raiders jockey for return to SoCal

I think an NFL team in Toronto would help the Bills ....I think of the Leafs/Sabres games and know that it would be good rivalry. -
Sorry, based on what I saw last year, the Duke can't play......pencil in the other guy.

Canadian OT on Bills radar
bigK14094 replied to DanInSouthBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he can play the OL, we want him. Remember Marv Levy's thing was smart players...sounds like this guy has it! -
I could understand if the Bills took him....saw those great games as college guy.....I am concerned, though, about whether he has the head to compete and sit sometimes......he is used to being the man.
-
Since we now know EJ is brittle.....to some extent anyhow, the issue is if Lewis an adequate backup. I guess I think yes, but...if a top talent falls to them...either Borttles or Manzel....I would take one myself. Depth at any position is important. We do not have that at QB. Not sure Manxel has the head to sit though, so probabily would only do Borttles if he is there.
-
I always thought that also, but he was a class act most of the time, so I really think that would have been out of character.....still, it sure seemed like it was deliberate....I mean, the QB's DONT get hit in practice!
