For me, this is the start and finish of the whole Davis garbage. Football is, far and away from most other sports, a team sport. What he did was the complete opposite of 'team.' He couldn't wait for the game to end? No. Because he's a selfish prick. It's just that simple and the only thing I can figure is someone at ESPN owed him a favor to promote his new wellness company.

Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
IDBillzFan replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's called California. I know because I watched them force the city I lived in for 18 years to accommodate low-income housing because it wasn't fair that only people with money could live there. They grabbed a bunch of property near Anaheim Hills, built a bunch of low-income apartments near Savi Ranch, filled them with low-income residents living off the state dole, and three years later a quiet little city is filled with a police blotter that would break your heart: drugs, break-ins, stolen cars, rapes and a couple of murders, not to mention traffic that is simply embarrassing for such a small area. On the bright side, you can get out of your house pretty easily by taking full-asking-price cash from the birthing center industry. -
Daniel Jones - new starting QB for the Giants
IDBillzFan replied to KingBoots8's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I appreciate the broad generalization, but many people smarter than you and me know some quarterbacks need to spend time behind a vet for a while since there is more to playing the game than just throwing a ball. Neither of us knows for certain if Jones is one of those guys, but we're about to find out. Another cool thing is hearing the players stick to the script. While Brown will never lead anyone with his limited vocabulary of "you know...like...you know...", he was saying the right things: turn the page on 2-0, one game at a time, its not me-me...we're all out to make each other better," etc. -
Daniel Jones - new starting QB for the Giants

Eli won two SB under center. He's first ballot. No question. We'll know in two weeks, though I think Cincy can be a problem this week. The biggest edge for the Bills this week, in my mind, is playing their home opener after starting the season 2-0 on the road. (Interesting side note: John Brown was interviewed on Sirius NFL this morning, and he commented he's yet to play in Buffalo but heard the fans can be pretty loud. ) -
Daniel Jones - new starting QB for the Giants

I can understand line of thought, but this also has the potential to wreck a rookie. It doesn't matter to me either way, really. Eli will forever have a place in my home for creating "18 and d'oh!" -
Daniel Jones - new starting QB for the Giants

I get why fans don't understand this truth, but I'm baffled by head coaches who don't get it. Youth may help Jones escape and throw a little better than Eli right now, but if anyone things this changes their trajectory for the foreseeable future is kidding themselves. The team has problems beyond the QB position. -
Based on the trajectory of the Bills, by the time the Fish put all these picks to work, and assuming every pick actually hits, the Bills will still be miles ahead of them if they keep doing what they're doing. The Fish are a complete schittshow, and having those picks means nothing if you don't know what to do with them or the coaches to properly lead them.

MNF -Cleveland Browns @ New Jersey Jets

If you are watching this game tonight and not feeling very happy with the relative state of the Bills, you're just someone who needs to be miserable. Up by 20, 90 seconds on the clock, and you're dropping Baker back to pass? You come into this game as a backup qb who hasn't played in an actual game in years, and your head coachy decides to have you throw first when you have Bell in the backfield? I'll take McDermott and team, thank you. What a schittshow. -
Hell, I can't even remember the last time the Bills were 6-point favorites this early in a season.

Cowboys early 21 point favorites over Fins
IDBillzFan replied to DC Tom's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a general rule for betting, you should never leave 21 points on the table. But this is different. The Fish have completely quit. NE* - 19 1/2 yesterday was a complete no-brainer. Cowboys -21 is the same thing. That said, I quit gambling a number of years ago so I'm just hot air at this point. -
That LB he hit was a rookie. Probably going to hear crap in the film room for weeks.

Brees out 6 weeks. Big Ben out for the season.
IDBillzFan replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crushing, but Bridgewater looked pretty good in relief yesterday. I dig the Saints, and hope Teddy can help them stay in it until Brees comes back. -
Things feel different... and it feels good
IDBillzFan replied to Thunderstruck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First, just ignore that post. Some people just feel the need to play mall cop. Second, I share your thoughts. I somehow forgot (until I reminded while reading the Giant fans' gameday thread) that at one point the BIlls had their back to the endzone and drove 98 yards for the touch down. One week removed from getting a safety in virtually the exact same spot. Great to see this team get better from week to week, and play disciplined football. Especially after the Giants drove the ball down their throat on the opening drive. What was McDermott's message on the sideline? Let it go, fill the gaps and play your assignment. -

I'm thrilled with this team, but 46 seconds and two time outs? Take some deep shots. -

Completely agree. Made no sense to me. Take some shots. -
What is better, no guns, or more guns?
IDBillzFan replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If the white guy pretending to be Hispanic gets elected president, I suggest the day he sends people to take our AR-15s, they all have to wear this shirt. Maybe put a target on it somewhere. -

So he plans to ban AR-15s and AK-47s, but he'll allow me to use my .45 with unlimited rounds? Just want to be clear on this. He said something like "If you like your gun, you can keep your gun..." Or some trustworthy phrase like that. So are you arguing that if we confiscate from every American the same weapon used in every mass shootings that there will be a drop in mass shootings? Is that the plan? -

I suspect you're just not paying attention. They want them all. And the ammo. Just listen to the white hispanic candidate. He said as much last night and he keeps saying it today. -
After watching him last night you'd be more accurate saying Cam Newton is MY ceiling on a football field, and my entire football playing experience began and ended with helping my father stage the local Punt Pass and Kick competition in the mid-70s. He was throwing like Stevie Wonder last night. It's incredible to me that they couldn't punch it in at the end. I'm still surprised they didn't fire Riverboat Ron last night. When you are supposed to be a legit contender and you lose both opening games at home...yeesh.
