GM Dorsey meeting with Haslam - He's out
IDBillzFan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mentioned this earlier in a different thread: Baker Mayfield will be entering his third year as a QB with his fourth head coach, if you consider Greggo as interim for the second half of last year. Brutal. -
I don't follow college ball, so I had no sense of who I preferred in the draft. On the other hand, I do follow NFL to a fault, and in my opinion it doesn't matter how good Darnold is or can be as long as Gase is his HC. Mayfield could be in worse shape. He's going to enter his third year in the NFL with his fourth HC (counting Greggo half-season as interim). The Browns have had 9 HCs in 12 years. NINE! Yeesh. Who the hell would want to be HC there?

And then they need to develop that QB properly. The NFL is littered with good QB prospects who were poorly managed. This is what makes me so optimistic about the Bills and Allen. And even if you DO manage to develop the QB properly, who's to say you don't end up with an Andy Dalton, or Mariota, or Winston, or Kaepernick. So many things have to fall into place to get the big prize (especially if you choose not to cheat along the way), which is why the Jets hiring Gase and Browns hiring Kitchens were complete head scratchers to me. The Bills are trending upwards not because Allen is being properly managed, but because the TEAM is being properly managed. Once Brady* and/or Bellicheck* retire, possibly this year, the AFC East is up for grabs and the Bills are, at this moment, in the best position to grab it. I'd argue you don't even NEED retirements in NE* next year for the Bills to take the lead.

CA has 52 representatives in Congress, of which seven are Republican. Soon to be six, no doubt.

In honor of a Buffalo/Houston playoff game

Funny watching Houston fumbling the punt at the 2 minute mark to help the Bills secure the win. The only person I can ever remember fumbling an important punt is Leodis McKelvin. -
Levi Wallace - sprained ankle, day to day
IDBillzFan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like every time I see Wallace during a game, he's tackling someone who he didn't cover well. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like he's something of a weak link on the D. -
NE fans are hating life right now. Lookie here...

Apologies if this is posted somewhere else...it's pretty cool listening to Harlan announce the Miami TD while KC is kicking a field goal. -
Week 17: NJ Jets at Buffalo Bills PostGame
IDBillzFan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you listen to Jay Feely today, the Jets had a great game against the Jills. Yeldon and Williams were great sightings. And don't worry about Wallace. If he can't go, apparently McKenzie is ready to fill in! Yeesh. Take a nap. You'll feel better later. You heard it here. -

Typical Pats fan... "Let's take this historically best at respecting women receiving core on the road! LFG!" Imagine having this take not only cross your mind, but make it to an online post. Buckle up, bittchis. The party is all but over. -

No way you're a Jets fan today and feeling good about the way this season ended. They came a few competent QB plays away from losing to the Jills. -

M. Lombardi - 2 Sources say more than a HC change in CLE
IDBillzFan replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
None of that should take away from the understanding that the Bills are absolutely headed in the right direction, as evidenced by the fact that they won the games they were supposed to win, including two prime-time road games in Dallas and Pittsburgh. Most certainly, and back to the original point of my post, the NFL as a whole absolutely does not think this Bills team is a mirage built on an easy schedule. -

Missing the hyphen to modify 'winning' but to put it more clearly, the year the Ravens won the SB, their schedule included wins against seven teams with losing records. I'm sure when the SB was over, no one in Baltimore was explaining how winning the SB wasn't really that big of a deal when you consider how easy the Raven's schedule was. -

Rocky 3. Keep Mr. T. -
This is precisely where I fall. I'd be hard-pressed to give specific examples at this moment, but my sense is that he has gotten more aggressive as the season moved on. This isn't a team that can consistently score from anywhere on the field, so until then he's riding the horses he has and not the horses he ultimately hopes to have. Go get a big-body receiver who can contest and bring down the jump ball, for starters, and it'll be easier to get more aggressive.

Define "the NFL as a whole." I spend most of my drive time listening to NFL talking heads, including people like Scott Pioli, Pat Kirwan, and even Gil Brandt when he's not lulling me to sleep, and whenever they discuss the Bills, they discuss how Beane and McDermott are building the team properly. From the ground up. With a change in culture. And players who understand and accept the 1/11th role. Kirwan will repeatedly tell you that you should never apologize for your schedule, and reminds everyone that the SB winning Ravens' schedule included playing 7 teams with losing records. Perhaps it's people who know little about the NFL as a whole who only see the Bills as a team that immensely benefited from a fantastic schedule. Just a thought. -

I think if people in the Bay area understood why they have these elected officials, there might be more of an outcry. As it stands now, it's pretty much out of their control. They've managed to drive every major city, county and state election through ballot harvesting. In the last year alone they've turned a reliably red OC completely blue. And I mean completely blue in every nook and cranny. Subsequently they have a super majority in the Sacramento. Which means they can, and will, do whatever the hell they please. But hey...what a view! Just spectacular.

It bugs me to think that business owners there find their only option is to pay higher taxes so the city can clean up the schitt on a more regular basis. What a mess.

Injuries to starters this Sunday

Only a Bills fan can finish Christmas dinner and start a thread to determine who they need to blame for something that may not even happen. When you're first instinct is to assign blame, do yourself a favor and ignore your instincts.
