Have you switched sides politically?
IDBillzFan replied to The_Dude's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So you stand with the Christian baker who files for bankruptcy after being dragged through the court system to be be forced to bake a cake for a gay wedding? Interesting. -
Trump's leadership team
IDBillzFan replied to Benjamin Franklin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's funny how the leftists eat this meltdown stuff up. But the minute they start laying off people for a Big Mac ATM machine because the left thinks someone who can operate a microwave should make $15/hr...well...you don't want to see Grimace dressed like a vagina. That's all I'm saying. -
Sarah Palin had sights over states that needed to be targeted to remove liberal politicians and the left puked, pissed and schitt over themselves. But someone pretends to shoot a Republican and the silence is deafening. Not surprising coming from a group of people who want to impeach an American president who embraces LGBT while also defending a religion that throws gays off buildings. The party of tolerance, I guess.

Sous Vide - Virgin Journey Today! Advice?
IDBillzFan replied to plenzmd1's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I spent an afternoon testing eggs in sous vide. One of my favorite dishes is Eggs Benedict, and the key has always been to have the perfect egg. Firm outside...runny inside. A dozen eggs later, I just couldn't get it as good a texture than straight up poaching them in a saute pan of simmering water with a bit of vinegar. Plus, poaching eggs is one of the easiest things to do once you get it down. -
They should change the headline to "Dorf on Paul". He's another guy who has to be glad that Hillary took the award for "Single Most Ridiculously Bad Presidential Campaign Ever" because he was a freaking embarrassment.

The concept makes sense, in theory. In order for the Obamacare scheme to work, they needed everybody in. However, you don't need to be an economics expert to see where the DNC made two really obvious, stupid mistakes. Mistake #1: No problems with pre-existing conditions. By itself, not such a hindrance. Except for... Mistake #2: The penalty for not having coverage was exceedingly less expensive than your premium. So let's recap: You must buy insurance for $12,000/year and if you don't, we're going to fine you $500/year. Oh, and you can sign up any time and never be refused, so if you don't have coverage and choose to pay the fine, and THEN get sick, you get your coverage so you don't have to face bankruptcy. It genuinely took a majority of Democrats to come up with that schitstorm of a plan.

I don't disagree with what you're saying. I understand how it's being spun. But Obamacare is not Trumpcare. In fact, none of this would be happening if Obamacare wasn't passed in the first place. Unfortunately, this is where the left shines. They take one of their mistakes and make it someone else's fault. That's all I was railing against. When an entire political party is against personal responsibility, it's too much to ask they admit their errors, and the gators and meatheads of the world are all too easy to comply with demands to repeat a narrative that is clearly false.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
IDBillzFan replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Making the rounds: A mosaic of Trump made entirely of crying liberals. -
Hey everyone! We're all racists! And you know what that means!

Gee. when baskin AND meathead think I'm an idiot, I must be on to something good. Oh, and hey...there is ALWAYS a safety net for millions of people who can't afford either insurance or coverage. If Obamacare collapses, people will still be cared for. Well, everyone but Democrats, but you both probably know that, don't you. Of course you do.

Thanks, gator. Coming from you, this is high praise, indeed. I'm epecially impressed with how close you came to actually completing a full sentence. Good work. I suspect you'll find Cruz with work with them, and depending on how it comes together, maybe even Paul will jump in. I suspect it's more difficult for him after he did his whole "They won't let me in the room!" thing.

Trump's leadership team
IDBillzFan replied to Benjamin Franklin's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I've often wondered if -- by their appointment -- all those Czars are on the government payroll for life. Most of them were paid six figures to, y'know, do nothing, but do they get that pay and coverage for ever? -
This is ridiculous and I'm kind of surprised by it. Donald Trump has been nothing but open and respectful to the LGBT community. He's embraced them for years. This simply shows something I mentioned in the Obamacare thread: liberals will always do what they're told by leadership, even when it literally makes no sense whatsoever. When you're unable to think for yourself, be a Democrat. You get to march a lot and dress like a vagina.

While I agree it's a quandry, I also am happy to see it happen. The last time a political group completely toed the line of its leadership -- with essentially no pushback that didn't get paid off by the WH to get back in line-- we got Obamacare. I take it as a good sign that the people are finally being represented. I've long been a believer that if you have, say, 18 people running something, and all 18 always agree all the time, you don't need 17 of those people. That's the political left in this country. They're not thinking people. They do what they're told by their elite leadership, when they're told, regardless of who elected them. It's one of the reasons Trump is president. While I prefer to see Obamacare collapse, I'm happy to see enough diversity and openness in the GOP to the extent that they can arrive at a chiseled program for the people who put them in power to dismantle what has proven to be the single biggest political blunder in my lifetime.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
IDBillzFan replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Norm Macdonald is funny as hell tonight. He usually does a twitter play by play of golf. He's been doing the same thing/style with Maddow and it's hysterical. I think #alcaponesvault is trending. -
The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
IDBillzFan replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Tonight was made for Twitter. Rachel Maddow gets a copy of Trump's 2005 Tax return. Does a special "Al Capone's Vault." Everyone waits breathlessly. And she reports that he earned $150M, paid $35M in taxes legally, and basically everyone at MSNBC looks like a complete dumbass. Twitter is so hysterically funny right now. People are suggesting Trump leaked his returns to get the conversation off the CBO report. Wouldn't surprise me. BEST. MELTDOWN. EVER. Keep up the good work, leftists. -
Are there any racist institutions? How and why.

So weird. You'd think people would see signs that say "Gun-Free Zone" and obey a little better. -
Global warming err Climate change HOAX
IDBillzFan replied to Very wide right's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What? You mean they won't get all that free money to make up more fairy tales? Well, I hear there's good money in crowd science. Maybe they can find work there. Follow Trump around and let everyone know how small the crowd is. At least it's more believable than the whole global warming cooling climate change farce. -

Unlike global warming cooling climate change, which is all nonsense. Think about it. A bunch of people making up fairy tales to make it seem like man literally has the ability to alter world atmosphere just by burning a few things...all to the extent that it can not only trigger earthquakes and snowstorms, but literally be the cause of all terrorism in the world. Wow. Real boogy man stuff there. No wonder there's so much money in it. -

So in other words, you want to return to the way things were before the DNC essentially FUBAR'ed health insurance for everyone? Gee, it seems like only eight years ago modern conservatives were railing against Obamacare so much that they literally tried to stop it by putting a Republican in Kennedy's senate seat. But that didn't stop the DNC, did it? No. Because they had to launder fed money to their donors through Obamacare and the Recovery Act, with absolutely no respect or regard for the people in this country who actually work for a living. But NOW there's a problem with modern conservatism? Please. As usual, the rest of the country is left cleaning up yet another embarrassing puke mess on aisle 44. We need to let Obamacare fail. Period. It's time the left has to eat its own vomit for once.
