Of course not. If that's what you enjoy, then by all means enjoy it. But if by "enjoy" you mean whine and moan about it all time, then we have different ideas of what "enjoy" means. Yeah, the words are WTF are you yapping about? There is a distinct difference between a football team and game, over which I have NO control beyond 'watch' or 'don't watch,' and politics, over which I do have control. Not sure why you got your romper all twisted up about this. I don't have a problem with people discussing his contract. What I was pointing out is the error made by people who argue that the number of snaps he plays should be based on the size of his contract. You don't put the highest paid players on the field in any situation unless they give you the best chance to WIN that situation. If you think he's paid too much, fine. But who is responsible for paying him too much? Hint: It's not Dareus.

I know about the salary cap. It's that other part of the game over which I have no control. Let me make it simple for anyone who who stresses or obsesses over the minutia of a football team or game: when it comes to this game, you have control over one thing...watch or don't watch. That's it. Try to enjoy it more.

Okay...fine... we agree...Hillary isn't healthy enough to climb stairs. What's her excuse? -

True. He also didn't pretend that he could walk while secret service agents helped him wobble up a flight of stairs. -
Okay, teenage drama queen comments aside... If the highest-paid player on the team is not earning his keep, I sure the hell don't want him on the field simply because he's the highest paid player. That's ridiculous. You play the players who give you the best chance to win, regardless of salary. If, in that process, you can do nothing about his salary, then that's exactly what you do until such a time that you can. The bottom line is..and will forever be...as simple as this: you have no control over any of it so complaining about it is a lot like trying to teach a pig to sing. Instead, look at the fact that the coaches realize all of this and are adjusting in the best way possible.

In the long history of people expressing opinions about professional athletes, the one argument that never made sense to me is the issue of what they are being paid. What should the average fan care about how much he's being paid? There's not a person on this board who would turn down a chance in their chosen profession to make $100M to work 50% of the time. But heaven forbid an athlete does it. That's just not right.

Frankly, I appreciate McDermott's take on fresh bodies, and my hope is that it doesn't just keep guys fresh, but healthy. While I may be talking over my head, I see the number of injuries happening to players early in the season, and part of that I attribute to how lax the training camps are due to the players' union getting them out of 2-a-days, practice with pads, etc. The thinking seems to be that since they're not really in game-day shape by the time game day comes around, you need to rotate them more often as they work their way into game-day shape a few games in. Could be wrong, but by the end of the Jets game, you could tell who was fresh. EDITOR'S NOTE: I didn't realize this was a thread to bash Dareus. My bad.

What are you paying to stream it through the PS4 app. I keep hearing it advertised, but never heard the details.

Oh, man. Now you've done it. Don't let Baldo see this post or he'll show up to remind everyone that "Nobody puts Baby Timmah in the corner!" He was the one who oversaw Obama's stimulous plan.

She really is an entitled dumbass. I look forward to Hillary 2020. Assuming she can still walk. -
What's the stupidest thing you ever bought?

If it was, I would not be in this thread. Mine's a Brunswick, too, and I genuinely enjoy playing pool. I just inherently suck at it. This is an obscure reference, but every time I take a shot, I can see what I want to do...and I know what I want to do...but I ultimately look like Navin R. Johnson trying to keep the beat with the blues. -

Sorry to hear this for Houston fans, but I don't mind admitting I am happy to a string of unfortunate events hit other teams for once. -
Which is one of the biggest reasons Kap is sitting at home right now. Most NFL fans don't want to hear anything from a football player that isn't directly involved with the game. Unfortunatey, most sports writers are also SJWs who think Kap is just like Ali and they must all rise together for his cause. Eliminate the sports writers and literally no one -- NO ONE -- gives a flying schittbag about Colin Kaepernick.

This is probably the place where I'm supposed to admit I'm the one person who doesn't watch GoT and ask who the hell is Lannister. -

The worst part for me was, after paying a company about $400 to pick it up, bring it here and set it up, he said "This is a nice pool table, but I hope you didn't spend more than $700 for it." -
Homeless man asked woman to move Porsche so he could sleep.

You know what's funny? If WaPo found out the woman was an illegal immigrant, the headline would read "Homeless man attacks Dreamer." -
We'll give it some more time, but it almost felt like they couldn't decide what kind of comedy they wanted to be, so they ultimately started adding stuff at the last minute. The shooting scene when they were escaping to their pod...it was so bad I kept waiting to see Crow and Tom Servo to show up, but was it meant to be that ridiculously bad? Likewise, the bit where the Krill goes on the big screen and is standing off-center of the camera, and they try to get him to stand in the middle, and before you know it the Krill is discussing what he considers to be the role of the husband in a successful marriage. All funny stuff, but nowhere near the kind of humor they were attempting in the rest of the show. Felt like they were making it up as they went along. Funny. I absolutely love Galaxy Quest precisely because it mocks people who take Star Trek too seriously. But in fairness, the basic plot has been done quite a few times and rarely fails (see "The Three Amigos" and "A Bug's Life").

Jemele Hill is still there. Of course, I had no idea who she was until her white supremacy rant last week, but I'm told after her rant she jumped up four spots in the ESPN Talking Heads Power Rankings, putting her two ahead of John Clayton, who was on a bi last week.

I started to buy into one, but I bought a pool table instead.

A family friend fell on hard times a number of years ago and started selling everything they had, which included a pool table for $1500. It was a beautiful table, and we wanted to help them out. We had plans to turn our living room into a game room, so we bought it, only to learn two lessons pretty quickly: (1) you don't just buy a pool table and throw it in the back of your truck and (2) I really suck at playing pool. It looks nice, though. So I have that going for me. Which is nice.
