You say this like it's a bad thing.

Exactly. There's very little to be learned on the bench.

After the Shady fumble, I mused to my wife how if any other thing in my life consistently gave me as much grief as watching a Bills game, I would fix it. If the Bills were a woman, or a job, or an employee -- anything other than a football team -- I'd stop spending time with them. But somehow, every Sunday, even though I know what's coming, there I am...in front of the TV...holding a sign that apparently says "Thank you, sir. May I have another."

10-23: McDermott & Coordinator Monday Pressers

One thing we all know, if there is any bad news to be had by this team, no one will deliver that news faster than you will. Even if it's not bad news, you'll find a way to go all Eeyore over it. "Well. Looks like the Bills won. Not a real quality win, though. Probably gonna lose the rest. Oh, bother." -
I swear I'll never understand why some of you can't just appreciate the win. This is precisely the kind of game the Bills would puke all over in previous seasons. Half the roster seems to be people the Bills pulled off an Amtrak headed to Schenectady. You had a 100-yard receiver signed days before. You had Tyrod throwing every ball you could possibly want. Hell, when was the last time you saw an interception by an Italian, for crying out loud? The team is playing their guts out for a coach I'm told has an ego too big to be successful. How some of you don't appreciate all of this is beyond me.

C'mon, admit it. Even with zeros on the clock, you were watching TB run the razzle dazzle play, and kept moving the ball from player to player, and somewhere deep in the back of your mind you were thinking "If these sonsabitches score on this freaking play..."

SNF: ATL vs. NE on NBC at 8:30 PM ET

Anyone know the over/under on how many times the refs will call a phantom fumble in the endzone by Atlanta to give the Pats* the ball back? Asking for a friend. -

If only Peterman started. He would have had 200 yards!!! -
Best Overall Game for the Bills, Despite Mistakes
IDBillzFan replied to Kaenon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And easily should have had 36 at least. I'm generally not a "If only this happened" kinda fan, but Hauschka uncharacteristically missed a chip shot field goal, and the last play to end the first half was mind-numbingly stupid. It's difficult to watch what I consider to be an otherwise disciplined team do something even I know you shouldn't do. Throw to the endzone or throw it away. Another easy three points thrown out the window. -
CORRECTION: The audio is from a different Gold Star widow getting the same phone call. Nonetheless, you can hear the words...hear the genuine nature of the President's sympathy. Here you go. You can't believe how badly Wilson FUBAR'ed this widow's sacred moment. Absolutely disgusting. Give it a listen, then crawl back into your hole.

John McCain on Trumpism

Conservative? The dude makes Trump look like a Republican. -
Benghazi got political the very moment Barry, Hillary and Susan Rice agreed to lie to the Americans about what happened and why it happened, all to a backdrop of Obama flying to Vegas for a fundraiser. Their blatant lies to the American people about the Youtube video is on them. They got what they deserved for that embarrassing fiasco.

Kaepernick Files Grievance Against NFL Owners

I rest my case. Look how divisive you are with mischaracterizations of me based on skin color and assumed intelligence. You attacked me, a person you've literally never met, almost exclusively using far-left race-baiting talking points the left always uses when your argument fails and your ideology is broken. You're part of the problem, Gug. A big part of the problem. You'll only stop being part of the problem when you stop making everything about skin color and intelligence. Good luck. -
The reality is that this congresswoman is desperate for attention, in any manner she can get it, even now suggesting that Kelly's comment about being an 'empty barrel' was racist. What an absolutely disgusting excuse for a human. On the upside, based on the way the left is coming to her side while pissing all over a four-star general, gold star father, Wilson is now, without question, the face of the today's Democratic party, and Trump's next step should be to send her a thank you note for contributing to his 2020 campaign.

Not at all. I spend more than my share of time lubing up for our games vs the Pats* every year. What I'm suggesting is that watching a team win a game like that, and quickly shifting directly "Bills will lose to them" tells me you see the game of football through an emotional lens instead of a strategic one. Your comment that you live in Oakland only further supports that, and I completely understand the emotions of it all. Yes, there are times you can look at another team and think "No chance in hell the Bills beat them." But the Raiders are not one of those teams. Not two days ago and not today. And I'm not convinced the Bills are the pushovers we've become accustomed to. I know many here are already eager to fire the coach and GM five games into their news jobs, but I happen to like what I see taking shape, and after watching them knock off two undefeated teams this year, and watching the team constantly shift and mold to fight with what it has, I'm not convinced there is any one team right now, on this day, who would be considered an automatic loss for the Bills. Yes, they WILL lose more games. But not a single one will be automatic. Not one. Enjoy the journey, wouldja?

There is simply no denying that from the very moment Barack Obama was elected president, his surrogates turned everything -- EVERYTHING -- into an issue of race. You couldn't even make a silly joke about the size of his ears without people arguing that you called him a monkey. Don't like Obamacare? Racist. Don't like Recover Act? Racist. Don't like IRS targeting conservatives? Racist. Don't like Obama's governing? Racist. Cops act stupidly. Trayvon could be my son. Don't agree? RACIST!!! The primary reason you see so much divisiveness in this country right now is because everyone is sick and freaking tired of being called a racist for the most ridiculously stupid things. Like, oh, donating Dr. Seuss books or leaving a banana peel on a tree branch. Everyone is not a racist, and everyone is exhausted from being accused of something they literally NEVER thought about until, well, his surrogates took it to the streets. Hell, even Bill Clinton admitted as much. So save us the drama. We know where it got its adrenaline. -
Prepare to see some heavy formations on offense this week

These damn coaches and their egos. It's Chip Kelly all over again and I, for one, refuse to spend another dime... Wait. What? -
I have to admit, the story about the PR Sec of State finding a garbage dumpster full water and food being thrown out, and about other PR officials keeping supplies for themselves, really blows me away. I'm sure that's the inadequate response your referring to, right?

Bad timing, Hugh. You died before you could see Playboy's first transgender Playmate. Link possibly NSFW, but hey...just tell them you're looking at a man.

Fixed that for you. -
If Joe were guaranteed $20M for four years of work in spite of being considered a malcontent slacker who kept complaining about his job, perhaps we WOULD talk about him like we talk about athletes.

I actually checked with the Bills on this, and they said the money they got from you for your tickets were not used to pay Dareus. They used the money they made from you on...well, okay. You know the guest services booth right outside Section 112? Across from there are stairs that take you to the 200 level. Just near those stairs is a men's bathroom. Okay, go in the bathroom, turn right about 8 steps. In the trough. Urinal cakes #3 and 4. You paid for those. Talkin' proud.
-
It's all click bait now...at least for those sports writers who can't stand on their written word alone. Where the Bills are concerned, that's essentially all of them except Wawrow.

I heard Gil Brandt talk about Sammy tonight, and while the guy absolutely bores me to freaking tears, he's one of the smartest talking heads in the NFL (is what he is). He essentially said Whaley -- like all GMs and owners will do from time to time -- screwed up with Sammy because he knew coming out of college that Sammy was not really interested in football beyond the money. No desire to hone his craft, not a team guy, and perhaps the most interesting comment: he's not a guy who would play this sport for free. I was bummed when I heard about the trade, but perhaps we're not smarter than the people who do this for a living. Perhaps the Bills got the better part of the deal for this year because they know better than the average fan what is really going on behind the scenes.
