  1. You see clueless, I see fans who literally will determine how much they like a player based, in part, on how much the team paid for him. There is only one thing that will determine if McCarron was a good hire: if he plays well. To suggest that "Well, he didn't play well, but hey, he only cost $15M, so I'm good with this" is ridiculous because the team needs someone under center to play well more than they need to save a few million on a contract.
  2. Nobody is giving out tons of dumb deals. In fact, this team is pretty flush. And again, it's not our money. Spend too much? Go over the cap. Who cares? Literally no one.
  3. So go over the cap! Who the hell cares? The Eagles are over the cap, and that trophy still looks pretty good.
  4. But it's not my roof and it's not my Pinto. It's my neighbors. Am I going to stop hanging out with my neighbor because he buys a Pinto? Well, yes, but it has nothing to do with his need for a roof.
  5. If you're the owner, sure. We're fans. What are we going to do? Stop cheering for the Bills because the owner didn't know how to budget his billions?
  6. Oh, well then, I guess I like this pick up! If the performance escalators hit 8.5, it would be a non-starter for me.
  7. Wait. You mean we're not going to give up 2 firsts and a third for Lucky? Damn. That hat 'brilliant' written all over it.
  8. Why do you guys keep bringing up price as one reason to be cool with a football player, as if you're the one's cutting the checks? I mean, I understand it if your neighbor bought a car and you think "That's a nice car, but I wouldn't pay $xxxxx for it." Because, y'know, you're gonna buy a car of your own one day. But pretty much no one here is going to drop $20M on a quarterback, and to somehow think you'll be okay with the pick as long as the team didn't overpay makes absolutely, positively no sense at all. It's just the weirdest thing to discuss.
  9. That's okay. I'm never going to write a check to the guy, but judging by people's reactions, I hope I don't pay him too much!
  10. I hope she gets the 2020 nomination, and during a debate, Trump challenges her to climb down a flight of stairs without help.
  11. Look on the bright side: at least he's not falling down another flight of stairs.
  12. Remarkably, she has found a way to make Obama sound like a good sport.
  13. With two people holding them up? Did you see the video? She literally looked like she was drunk off her ass. At the end, she's kicking off her sandals. What a mess.
  14. I suggest you change the thread title to "May I Mommy Dog Face To The Banana Patch."
  15. We have a new coach and new GM who ended a 17-year playoff drought with, essentially, scrap metal. It's the most competent GM/coach tandem the team has had in years, and yet some of can only talk about how fast you want to throw them out the door.
  16. I'll never understand why this simple concept is so lost on people. I suspect it has something to do with those who insist on measuring value vs. pick vs. money vs. everything else, but for the love of pete, man, if you know who you want, and they are there for you, freaking take them. Who gives a crap if it's a reach, or the value numbers don't work?
  17. I may be wrong, but I don't care if he only costs a box of HoHos. I've seen enough Kirk Cousins to know I don't want him as our QB.
  18. It's difficult for me to watch the front office make all these incredible moves, and then somehow think it culminates with signing Kirk Cousins.
  19. Sorry for not keeping track, but is Rosen your preference? A lot of people have opinions here, but I put more value in yours, so I'm curious...
  20. I suspect the other DNC mid-term push will be their other big growth program: economic growth by increasing the welfare rolls, based on the fact that every dollar spent on welfare returns $1.50 to the economy. The math is settled!!
  21. Dear Offseason, I hate you. Love and kisses, LABillzFan
  22. Almost ALL fan-fighting squabbles -- especially at TBD -- are rooted in someone either defending their failed prediction, or shoving their successful prediction in everyone's face. I maintain the four dumbest words anyone can write here are "I told you so." Most of these are people who predict the failure of a professional football player, which is the single easiest thing to predict in the history of predictions. The most bold are the ones who were convinced, right from the gate, that the McDermott "process" coupled with Beane ego would be leading the team to another 17 years of disaster because their egos -- and no other good reason -- are to blame for trading someone like Sammy Watkins. Some people never let it go, and yet others learn to slink away after, say, watching Peterman throw five picks in six minutes.
  23. I know nothing of college ball, but frankly, I feel for the first time in a long time, I don't care who is quarterback for the Jets, or even Miami. Because this is the first time in a long time where I am looking at our GM and HC, and feel like we finally have competent drivers at the helm, while Jets and the Fish are trying to get their legs under them. I can be talked off this kind of thinking if I wake up tomorrow and find out the Bills hold enough golden tickets to do whatever they hell they want at QB, but decide what they want to do is start with Kirk Cousins. I'd puke. I'd watch. But I'd puke.
  24. As long as Cousin's doesn't come to Buffalo, I'm good. Frankly, I'd love to see him go to the Jets.
