Gil Brant on Sirius yesterday - awful
IDBillzFan replied to thunderingsquid's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I thought you were joking at first, but you're serious? Really? Any idea how many times I travel somewhere and someone points out where the best Italian food is without my asking? All the freaking time. Know why? Because I'm an Italian who loves Italian food. Anyone who associates that with racism is simple deranged. Get over yourself. You're making the world a miserable place. -

What I Don't Understand About Fan Reaction to Allen
IDBillzFan replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny. I always thought loser fans were the one's who hate it when anyone remains optimistic about things over which they literally have no control. Thanks for clarifying. Note to OP: I mentioned elsewhere that given no one can predict the success or failure of our picks, I'm at least grateful that we had a desperate need for a QB and LB and didn't trade up to grab a corner. -
It's kabuki theater to you. It may even be hypocritical by NFL standards. But it's a rule to the NFL, and as a potential draft pick, if you're too freaking stupid to understand and accept that fact, and lay low before the draft, I don't want you on my team, I don't care how good you think you are. There's no room on an NFL team for lazy and stupid. Unless he doesn't want to play in the NFL, in which case he can wake and bake 'til he's dead.

You don't care that he smokes dope or you don't care that he's too lazy and stupid to use good judgement? I don't care how good you are. If you're too freaking stupid to lay low a few weeks leading up to the biggest career day of your young life, I don't want you playing on my team. I'm not even sure I want you working the drive-thru window with hot beverages.

Bills' 2018 Regular Season Schedule
IDBillzFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You'll notice virtually no one making predictions (that is, predicting the record) is predicting playoffs. They're almost all predicting gloom and doom. And that's because the simplest thing to do is predict failure in the NFL. The second easiest thing to do is follow that up later with "I told you so." -
Bills' 2018 Regular Season Schedule
IDBillzFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jerry Sullivan is reporting the Bills might have "the worst offense in the league right now." Meanwhile, fans look at a schedule released in April, BEFORE the draft and BEFORE the final roster and BEFORE every other team has a draft and final roster, and predict with confidence that the Bills will have a top 5 pick next year. I understand Sullivan is in the clickbait business, but some fans make me wonder why they bother following this team. -

Make a Case for Something you Oppose!
IDBillzFan replied to {::'KayCeeS::}'s topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
My belief: Unions have overstayed their welcome in the US, and it is time for them to all be disbanded. In lieu of being fully disbanded, it should be illegal for any company or government entity to make new hires have union dues pulled from their paycheck as a condition of employment. Devil's Advocate: Many people are too lazy and stupid to think for themselves, and by paying union dues, they get to do the least amount of work on the backs of the hardest working Americans, and don't ever have to think about anything because the union bosses lay out their thoughts for them like Giselle lays out Tom's* evening attire. Plus, if you eliminate unions, how will the DNC find another way to launder money to be filtered back to the DNC? 'Merica. -
Nick Foles Would Love the Opportunity to Start Again

Nick Foles Would Love the Opportunity to Start Again
IDBillzFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no idea if McDermott and team can bring the kind of offense and scheme that Pederson has. Without question, we're missing elements all over the place. But Foles and Shady need just a couple of decent receivers to get started quickly, AND you have the benefit of keeping many of your picks to address what has become a very suspect Oline. Lastly, the idea that Foles stinks makes no sense to me. He wasn't Trent Dilfer, for crying out loud. The dude made all the ridiculous throws through the playoffs and SB and never winced. Not to mention, it would be great to have a QB who knows what it's like to beat Brady.* Also, to be clear, I have no problem with the team drafting a QB. -

Now you're just being catty. It's not an all-or-nothing proposition. I was strictly responding to your comment that, where a quarterback is concerned, the team should aim higher than a decent NFL starter. That tells me you either don't want them to draft a QB, or you somehow, magically know what literally no one else in the world knows, which is that one of these college quarterbacks is a lock to be a great NFL starter. -

IDBillzFan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll never pretend to be a scout, but you said the team should aim higher than a decent NFL starter, and literally NO ONE knows if any of these college guys will ever be a decent NFL starter. No one knows. No one. If your high aim is for someone who will be more than a decent starter, Foles has video and history; a greater assurance of a high rate of return over any of the draft picks. -

Based on what? An interview? A workout? Has he seen them play in the NFL as a starter and we've all just missed it? -

Then I'm assuming he isn't going to draft a quarterback this year because there isn't a decent NFL starter in the bunch -

I'm probably the minority here, but I'd rather take Foles than pretty much any QB in the draft. In fairness, I don't follow college ball but the most reliable thing everyone knows about these new QBs is that they really don't know jackschitt about how these QBs will do in the NFL. Meanwhile, you have a young guy in Foles who stood fearlessly on the NFL's biggest stage, got in a shoot-out Brady*, and still beat the Pats*. I understand he's not going anywhere this year until they know if Wentz can play, but damn this guy would look good in Buffalo. Not to mention, you don't have to give up the farm for him, leaving you with more picks to get more talent. Dreamin', I guess.- 122 replies

Seattle postpones Kaepernick workout b/c of kneeling?
IDBillzFan replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's my hope that one day every SJW who keeps barking that Kaep is being black-balled will wake up to this simple, basic truth. The NFL doesn't care if you beat your wife, get involved in a murder, or fight dogs before putting a bullet in their head and burying them in your backyard...as long as you can perform. Anyone who thinks the problem with Kaep is his kneeling hasn't been paying attention. He simple isn't good enough to make a team AND bring his ridiculous baggage. End of story. Anyone who thinks differently has an agenda. Like, say, all the sports journalists who keep comparing him to Ali.
