The problem is that as a staged, targeted hit on a small business owner, it promotes the hypocrisy of the left with little accountability. The left is trying to make a point. The challenge is that the point they SAY they're making and the point they really ARE making are two different things. They SAY they're dealing with a bigot because he refuses to do everything the left wants him to do for a homosexual. This baker, in fact, creates product for many gays. He chooses not to partake in the ceremony, and the left simply finds that unacceptable. But again, understanding this is all staged, ask yourself: why does the left go after the Christian baker, but not the Muslim baker? Why is it always a Christian baker in these staged events?

I don't find that to be the case at all. What I typically find is that his opening hand on a topic is even-tempered and primarily fact-based from his perspective. In fact, his back and forth with JSP about how JSP would like to see various media shut down was a good example of relatively mutually respective discourse. I'm not saying we all don't get a little batschitlococxrazy dealing with the repetitive idiocy of the left, but otherwise...

I appreciate your reconsidering. If you want to fight the fight...and it's clear you've had enough of the leftist slash-burn-destroy efforts to make you want to fight...then it helps if you fight in a way that truly marks the conservative approach; facts. There is no greater kryptonite to the left than facts because they simply don't believe they matter. This is why they do so many drive-bys at this site. They show up, bark something ridiculous, get asked for facts to back their ridiculousness, and leave. Why? Because facts are simply not on their side. Hit them with facts. Leave the pejoratives to the left. You may not always agree with TYTT, but he's pretty damn good at holding leftists up to a mirror to see their errors.

The left setting up the cakeshop owner again is precisely why the left is losing. It's not longer something that just happened...it's something that is staged to bring down someone to force liberal thinking on everyone. Just embarrassing.

He's right, actually. It brings no value to the discussion, but gives the left the ammo they need to show conservatives as intolerant homophobes. There is also a large gay conservative community who support Trump. Are they fudge-packers, too? Or they're the acceptable type of fudge-packer? See what we mean? The pejoratives tied to sexual preference bring no value to the discussion.

Their sexual preference is completely irrelevant, and quite honestly it only gives the left the ammo they desire to label people homophobes, among other things. We can do better.

This should surprise precisely no one. People waited eight years for Summer of Recovery to take root, and it never did, mostly because Obama was more interested in carving out a death road for businesses he did not agree with. A monkey could have been elected president and made things better just by undoing Obama's stupidity.

I suspect Joe's take, and it's a take I can get on board with, is that the left (including the media) has been simply outstanding at pointing to a couple of trouble makers and declaring that those troublemakers represent EVERYONE on the right. So it's fitting, and quite a bit satisfying, to see the media trying to stop the growing consensus that "elements/individuals within the media" who could be considered enemies of the people also represent EVERYONE in the media. If one is the enemy, they're all the enemy. We both know that's not the case, but like I said...fitting and quite a bit satisfying to watch their tactic turn on them.

In fairness, I know a lot of highly educated people with a lot of letters after their name who have a hard time completing a rational thought. I was surrounded by them when I worked in Santa Clara.
