  1. Thanksgiving road game vs. Dallas last year. You can tell a lot about a young quarterback when the spotlight is on them, and I would argue there is no greater regular season spotlight than Thanksgiving when EVERYONE is watching. He played with complete confidence and the moment was simply not to big for him. By the time he bounced back from the Ravens loss to beat the Steelers on a game flexed to prime time, I didn't need any further evidence. Was that the game where he make Kiko look silly? He absolutely has Rodgers pocket presence. You could sometimes put music to the way Rodgers hangs in the pocket and dodges pressure by just shifting a bit here or there. He's NOT Rodgers, but his ceiling is incredible.
  2. One thing I've told my son over the years is that the four stupidest words that can ever come out of someone's piehole are "I told you so." They're condescending and meant to demean you while self-inflating the douchenozzle using the words. What you're experiencing -- what most of us older fans are experiencing right now -- comes from years of getting bludgeoned by the ever-present sad sack "I told you so" douchenozzles who somewhere, at some point, played the easiest bet in football: that someone would fail. In this case, they always predict that the Bills will find a way to eff up their current successes so they could get that oh-so-easy victory to remind you your team sucks. Those dudes are a dime a dozen. They're the reason people like Jerry Sullivan and Tim Graham still have jobs. This team is different than most any we've seen since Polian was at the helm. It's being built right. Yes, there will be some mistakes and losses, but this team is not built to disappoint like teams in the past and in time the "I told you so's" will move on to some other sad-sack activity. Like watching the NBA.
  3. I'm in my late 50s and when my online order of Josh's Jaqs arrived on Sunday just before kickoff, Younger Me started whispering "Dude, this aint good" to Older Me. When Josh hurt his shoulder, Younger Me was whispering, "Did I tell you or did I tell you?" and even tried to convince me I could still drink like him. Younger Me is an evil MF'er.
  4. That's good to know. Now we just need to ensure @JÂy RÛßeÒ will have his Zubaz back from the dry cleaner in time for game day, I'm beginning to like our chances.
  5. Their fate was sealed long before he made that post. The BIlls are undefeated when I can open my garage door with one click on the opener from my truck. Yesterday, it took two clicks because I was unfortunately too far away when I clicked it the first time. Sorry about that. It was a good run, though.
  6. We actually have had a share of BIlls fans who are not convinced the Pats* are cheaters. Embarrassingly unbelievable, but true.
  7. Looks like Sony Michel is out tonight. The thing I don't understand is how did I spend the summer hearing how Stidham was ready to take the reigns, only to find out they're starting Hoyer tonight?
  8. Apologies if posted already, but it really made me chuckle.
  9. Funny how that tie is what helped them take first pace with a 1-2-1 record. Pederson is a genius!
  10. JP Losman would beg to differ. I'm joking, of course, and I'm not confusing Losman for Tua...and Losman came in late in the game as opposed to giving him a week to prep, but I'll always believe that singe decision wrecked Losman at some level.
  11. I'll take "Questions asked by men who have been married for a long time" for $200, Alex.
  12. You BETTER have those numbers as a first-round pick. Yes, we should temper ourselves, but David definitely has some serious chops for a fourth-rounder. His hands sometimes seem like the size of baseball mitt when he brings the ball down.
  13. A lot of the speculation here rests on whether the Fish put Tua under center any time soon. Adam Schein was barking this morning that he should start right away if he is truly healthy. I don't follow college ball, so I don't know if Tua is NFL ready, but I DO know they have the best situation with him learning under Fitzpatrick for as long as possible. Frankly, if you're going to play him, you start him after their bye week. It gives them plenty of film on all three teams in the division so he can start with the Jets coming out of the bye, and still get time vs the Bills and Pats*. They should know what they have after six weeks. But then, I'm just a Bills homer and genuinely have no idea what I'm talking about.
  14. This paragraph sounds like my wife the first time we had sex. "Wow. You were amazing. You're really good at this. Well, I mean, not the whole time, but a lot of the time! Not with urgency like my last boyfriend, but not so far off either. You were spectacular...I mean, not consistently, but I'm sure you'll improve with time!"
  15. That f-bomb he dropped came after the refs erased that beautiful 50-yard TD pass for illegal formation. I thought an alien was going to pop out of his chest.
  16. I used to work for a sales boss who loved to get in my schitt if I lost a job to the competition. I learned early on that if I lose my schitt before he lost his schitt, he'd immediately work to calm me down and I avoided him getting in my schitt. Like Ralphie working up tears so his mother wouldn't realize he almost shot his eye out. That was Carr yesterday.
  17. Great googly moogly. Such a great commercial.
  18. It's funny how we can easily ignore idiots, but the idiots are too stupid to just put DR on ignore. No. They run to mommy and whine about the big bad anonymous poster who hurt their little feelings.
  19. In what world does it make even a little bit of sense that a dude like Billstime can post the same stupid, insulting, childish gifs over and over and over, but DR gets tossed? Really sucks, @SDS. Dude's a good contributor here.
  20. I like Rams -12 1/2 against a bad Giants team. Rams are going to skullbang their next opponent.
  21. I'd love a bunch of Tuesday night games. Waiting from Monday to Thursday is already too long for me. I suspect I'm in the minority, because I have no problem watching any two teams...even Broncos Jets. I just love having the game on.
  22. Not to mention, the players ultimately agreed to the plan to move forward, so they can keep their complaints to themselves.
  23. In fairness, if you're new to Vegas and identify as a man, it's hard to resist the siren calling of Club Paradise.
