So tell me, NY'ers. Is Cuomo right when he claims "Our taxes are lower than ever"?

Further to this point above, @Buddy Hix, you will also hear the argument that the GOP held up moving forward with the Garland nomination because it was an election year, and since the Kavanaugh appointment is happening in an election year, then the GOP must hold up until after the election. It's a common head fake by the left, who all-too-easily forget that the Garland nomination was coming on the heals of a 'presidential' election, while the Kavanaugh is not. There is precedent the way the Garland nom was handled, but the left is not interested in anything other than throwing a massive fit because Hillary Maopants lost what was her rightful place on the throne.

I agree with this, but there are three things working for the right: First, Kavanaugh is highly qualified and should make a solid vote for the right from a constitutional standpoint. They need to..and can...get him seated no matter what; Second, I become increasingly convinced the left's temper tantrum is precisely how you get Trump 2020. "Dregs of society," etc. Rape this. Victim that. People are tired of it, and the left has proven it's too stupid to stop what they've started...which is to say, I don't know that RBG can make it to 2024. She can barely lift her head up to speak. She's abandoned words with more than three syllables. Trump 2020 could easily lead to a conservative replacement for RBG; Third, and most obvious...the right has nothing to lose because no matter what they do, the left and the media are going to give you weeks upon weeks of hysteria and smear. It's all they have because they have no message beyond "Rape" and Victim" and dressing up like giant vaginas and condoms. They will not stop whining no matter what, and unlike sacrificing yourself for Obamacare, which destroyed the left when they were forced to throw themselves on that grenade, putting Kavanaugh on SCOTUS is not something that will kill the right, no matter what the smear is. It's long-term win-win-win for the right.

And here's the thing; the left is in such a shambles now, and the average Joe can see the media working with them, and it's got Trump Re-election written all over it because the left is just too damn stupid to realize they THEY are the ones who give us Trump. Every last one of them. Too freaking stupid.

This is what I mean when I talk about the left galvanizing the different factions of the right. To a leftist, this dialogue makes perfect sense: Left: "We can't have this rape victim questioned by old white men! It's disrespectful and they will grandstand!" Right: "Okay, we'll bring in women to question her so she'll be more comfortable and we can avoid the grandstanding." Left: "We can't have this rape victim questioned by someone who's not a senator!" Trumpers and Never Trumpers alike can hear this and agree, the left has completely lost its freaking mind. They know the left has nothing remaining but whining, and nobody whines like Kamala Harris.

That NYT Opinion piece is simply embarrassing. On the upside, it's starting to galvanize the different factions of the right in a way no one on the right has been able to accomplish. It's genuinely stunning that the left lit this fuse of 'any opinion any time as long as it supports the leftists begging for more power,' and now have no way to stomp it out. It's almost exclusively how they got Trump, and they are incapable of stopping themselves.
