Brandon Beane deserves to be fired tomorrow
IDBillzFan replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you're saying we drafted Zay and Allen to tank so we can get other players at higher picks? -

Okay. So what you're saying is McBeane are unable to draft or sign good offensive players because they're not drafting or signing good offensive players who can do what you want them to do, which is for Zay to be a true #1 and Allen to be a drop-back accurate passer like Ryan or Palmer. Got it. -

So to be clear, you are saying Zay and Allen are busts. You're saying they'll never been successful in the NFL. Because that's what it sounds like you're saying. -

The people marching to the boarder ???

In between bandaging their feet and starting to march at 3 a.m. to avoid the late-day heat, they found a phone booth and called 800-888-8888. -
The problem is that Bills fans see Foles -- a complete anomaly -- or Brady, or Warner, and don't understand why they don't get their anomaly. They would literally keep blowing up the team over and over and over until they found that one exception. And often times they sound a lot like Veruca Salt. "Daddy! I want an oompa loompa! I want an oompa loompa NOW!"

I'll never understand why this simple truth is so difficult for people to accept. It's almost like they NEED to be ahead of the bad news curve so they can tell everyone "I told you so." Again, the only thing simpler in the NFL than saying "I told you so" is predicting failure. Literally anyone can do it every week of every season. And for some tired reason, some people do. -

That ought to send the progs into 'modify the photo' meltdown for a while, much like you saw with the Nike/Kap ad. -
We choose to follow the team, and most of us go into the new season with hope. Some hope for wins. Some hope for progress. Some hope a miracle. On the other hand, I choose not to open another "We need to fire everyone! Everyone sucks!" thread with any hope that it will be anything other than another tired thread of which fourteen already remain from the same four people. Especially when firing everyone is THE most tiresome chant someone can posit. If you're really tired of the team sucking for the better part of 20 years, here's an idea: find the person making you follow the team and bit the snottschitt out of them to make them stop.
-
How is that not what you said? You said you would fire everyone, and then said you had no idea what you would do after that beyond not doing what was being done before. If I misread that, feel free to clarify, but you're literally advocating for an 18-month window for creating a successful NFL team. If your team isn't successful in 18 months, start over again. That said, in my mind, comparing Rex to McBeane is apples/oranges because, to me, Rex was an *****-in-seats-now hire and McBeane is a long play. Rex was a messy manager, and McBeane is more purposeful. That doesn't mean they don't make bad choices (i.e. McCarron), but it seems amazing to me that smart fans are unable to digest that the Bills are still a work in progress, and McBeane simply hasn't been in place long enough to show their work properly. I would also add this, though not directed specifically at you: in addition to how tiresome it is here to read lazy minds calling for everyone to be fired after 18 months, it is especially tiresome to hear people mock 'the process.' Any thinking person can tell you that finding success in something with multiple moving parts demands a process. Building a car, running a company, writing software...it all demands a process, and to mock the mantra of "trust the process" is, to me, the laziest of all criticism.
-
So to recap, you know you want to do something drastic like fire everyone, but after that, you have no idea what should be done, only that you don't want to do what you perceive to be the problem when you fired everyone. Sounds like a plan. Not let's advance this: if you fire everyone, and replace everyone by not doing what your predecessor did, you would argue that if the new group isn't winning in the first year and a half, you fire everyone and start again, correct? Or do we trust your process? Apparently it can't be both, so walk us through this. No success after 18 months, and we start again?
-
Then I'll ask you, too. What's the plan? Who's the new GM? Who's the new HC, OC, DC? And I'm not talking about thinking you'll pull Cowher out of a studio seat. I mean, realistically, what is your plan other then "fire everyone"?

I like O'Keefe, but these things never go anywhere. Even when they shut down ACORN, all they did was change their name and run around like they did before. Plus, precisely who do you think will air this video beyond Fox? Does anyone actually think CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc. would actually give this the time? Of course not. Avenatti and Swetnick? Yes. Dem campaigners breaking laws to help people infiltrate the country. Not a chance. I'm sure we'll hear the videos were edited and inadmissible. Again. -
Okay. Who do you hire? Who's the GM? Who's the HC, OC and DC? What roster moves do you make? I have to imagine if you want to blow some of it up, but not all of it, there's a plan. What's the plan?
-
Let me save us both trouble: do you believe we should fire everyone and start over? I mean, have you seen everything you need to see? Get rid of Beane, McDermott, all the coaches, and start over? Do you think we should do that? Some would call it "tired."

Wouldn't surprise me if the DNC jumped in here to take the fake Hispanic's money. -
Frankly, I expect more from Bills fans. Maybe I'm just naive, but all you ever hear is that the BIlls have the best, smartest fans in the NFL. Then you come here and find some long-time fans so filled with anger with a loss that they simply are unable to grasp that the Bills are in Step 1 of a rebuilding phase. Any smart fan knows this. Hell, even a stupid fan knows it. But some fans, they see little miracles on other teams and when they don't get miracles, they want to flip the game board and try again with a new GM and new coaching staff and new roster and even a new owner, completely ignorant to the fact that flipping the game board is childish at best. That's all.
-
Exactly. One thing I know for sure: complaining about the Bills every week and demanding we gut the front office never, ever gets tired. Nope. Not tiring at all.
-
We need to gut the entire front office. Everyone must go. How can anyone at OBD have missed on Mullens! It's inexcusable!
