Midterm Election Gameday Thread
IDBillzFan replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
"Everyone should have free rein. It's terrible that anyone should have to pay for rein, but if we don't handle global warming cooling climate change, we'll all have to pay for rein, and that's not right! My green initiative will ensure everyone gets free rein!" - AOC Every Dem should be asked to go on the record if they believe illegals should be able to vote. Let's get a tally going. I suspect we'd be a little surprised at how many would respond like Hoover. -
The language is absolutely NSFW, but damn is this funny and belongs is this wasteland of a thread.

That's usually because they're made by people who love to talk about why the Bills suck, and how they would be a much better team if only THEY were the owner/GM/HC/OC/DC/QB/RB for the team. -

Reich is clearly waiting until they're down by 32 before getting the offense going. -
Outside of the cost savings, I'm not sure why anyone would want to grow it, let alone smoke the actual weed any more. They've got this down to a concentrate that you vape. Wifey uses it for migraines, and hated everything she had to do to eliminate the odor from wafting around and sticking to her clothes. The oils changed everything. No smell. No seeds. No skunk. No roaches or bowls or bongs or papers.

The Trump Shutdown
IDBillzFan replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Unions had a place in this world years ago. They are essentially no longer needed at pretty much any level. Today they are nothing more than a money-laundering operation to elect politicians who pass laws that put more money in the pockets of unions, which put that money into the campaign coffers of the politicians who passed the laws to give them the money in the first place. No modern day debate has ever been won by starting with the words "According to (XYZ) Union Officials..." -
Don't you mean Kris Kringle? Bold move by the Fish. Much like a rookie quarterback, you need a lot of things to fall into place to be successful during your first run at a new position. While this could absolutely make the Fish better, perhaps in two years he'll be handing the Pats* a couple of losses each year.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency

She didn't say not having folks of color expanding here. She said "...not having folks of color here." Period. End of thought. Let's try it with crayons: you're out to dinner and tell the waiter you don't want vegetables on your plate. He comes back with your dinner, and on your plate is a piece of broccoli. You point to your plate and say "Hey, I said I didn't want any vegetables here." The waiter says "Oh, I heard a clear implication that you didn't want extra vegetables." That's how stupid your argument sounds. It's not worth any more discussion. Either way, the left is unhinged, no matter the semantics. -

So if someone on a football message board was discussing a player he didn't like, and, oh, let's say he wished that player suffered a spinal injury, you wouldn't find that funny, right? I find it vile, but I'm just checking. -

I genuinely can't imagine what it must be like to be blind. It has to be scary. Yet somehow, Tibs and Peace and Coach and Greggy still manage to find their keyboards and post here, and they're blind as schitt. -

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
IDBillzFan replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Last week he mentioned that he could imagine that a younger Nancy Pelosi was probably kind of hot. I swear someone stole his TBD account. #plenzmid1tbdpasswordmatters! Watch it again. She said Trump's "ultimate goal is, as you said, to make America pure in the sense of not having immigrants here...not have folks of color here..." In other words, eliminating all people of color from America, as Starbucks commented. She didn't say 'keep out as many as possible.' It's ridiculous and embarrassing and I LOVE this meltdown almost more than wings. -
The Trump Shutdown
IDBillzFan replied to WhitewalkerInPhilly's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It has nothing to do with gun reform and everything to do with the left's ability to embrace hypocrisy as if no one is paying attention. The left argued loudly that the Affordable Care Act -- a law that literally does everything BUT make care affordable -- was worth if it we can only save one child from not getting care. That argument was everywhere from the left when the bill was introduced. But we CAN point to a number of people who WERE killed or maimed or injured by illegals, from Kate Steinle to Officer Singh and all the sadness in between. If the left was eager to pass Obamacare to save one undefined hypothetical child, why are they not equally eager to build a wall to save multiple deaths of REAL Americans? The arguments are undeniably hypocritical. Anyone can see that if they are being honest with themselves. So we can choose a couple of reasons for this: either the left is so eager to stop Trump they they're willing to let a bunch of Americans, including a legal immigrant cop, get murdered...or they admit the life of a cop, father, husband, daughter isn't as important as that of a hypothetical child. Make sense now? -

I don't know. Why don't we ask 2016 Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders. Try not to use the word "superdelegates," though. It triggers him. -

Personally speaking, I'm not afraid of AOC. She's long on cute and short on substance. If I'm worried about anything where she is concerned, it's that the right will keep prodding her with stupid stuff, which would lead to her ascension with the left. If you want her to go away, ignore her stupid stuff and hit her on policy. The left should do this with Trump, but the left is far less disciplined than the right, and the people filling their Depends every time Trump tweets something are out of control. -

Must have sucked being Denise Richards in that flick. Dizzy was everything AND a shower scene. My favorite was her making the argument that no one should have to pay tuition to attend The Electoral College. -

The truth is, it was probably even less about stupidity and more about a human paperwork error. The amount of paperwork I need to provide each year for CA is embarrassing. But miss one piece of paper and the audit goes into a tailspin (at least with companies who handle our audits). The far right needs to lay off AOC for this stupid nickle/dime stuff. Like the left picking on everything Trump does, it doesn't have the effect they think it does. Although this kind of stuff is very funny. -

You could, however, easily surmise that a President who responds to a Jim Acosta tweet with "Dear Diary..." would also be having his Chumleys sliding out this information to set Friday social media/news on fire...which it undoubtedly will, as driven by the hard-core money-giving left base freaking out...and Presto...compromise on the wall. I'm not saying that's what's happening. I'm just saying, Trump knows the left doesn't have control of itself. Shumer and Pelosi are the jokes of the town. Now name one thing that would create the greatest leftist meltdown ever after we already witnessed the greatest leftist meltdown ever. Go ahead. Name one thing. Someone should tell Orville Reddenbacher to increase production.
