Yeah, I don't really like the conditional idea. If we trade fine, then he is their's and they can do what they want. What if their O-line is terrible, he gets small numbers and our pick drops to a fourth? Forget that.

I think maybe we all got so used to seeing Henry and even A. Smith going for 2.9 and 3 yards a carry, that anything decent looks incredible by comparison. WM had 4 yards/carry. Like about twenty-five other NFL running backs did last season. Show me something a little more compelling, and then ask for more money at the end of next season. Maybe.

Bills took a HUGE chance on this kid, knowing he would miss the entire 2003 season, which he did rehabbing and getting paid for it. Played very well in, like, twelve starts last year. He he 4.0 yards/carry. He's getting paid high first round money, correct? How many years is he signed for?

Well, we do have a $9 - $10 million dollar/year left tackle. Unfortunately he's playing on the wrong end of the line. Not real sure about the tight-end situation either. Who's starting there?

I think the combination of starting a rookie Qb with no left tackle is going to negate any other strides on offense. Also, Buffalo defense finished # 2 in total yards, correct, however # 8 in total points. Secondary should be better, although I think Pat Williams is going to be missed more than most admit. The team seemed very healthy last year and we won't be playing the NFC West. 8-8 next year.

This is an excellent take, especially the "counterfeit contender" portion. Once you understand this philosophy and that TD is really not building a Super Bowl contender, it is easier to accept.

Unless there is some magic powder JM can throw on these guys, I think the O-ilne is going to be exposed, especially with a rookie QB back there and a nobody (who knows) starting at left tackle. Ole' Whitey is running out of smoke and mirrors and this could be a real down year for the Bills. I just hope JP doesn't get hurt.
