  1. You need to add: * Losman snaps own leg trying to take down new veteran CB Wiliam James.
  2. I haven't heard him yet. Is he really that bad?
  3. LOL. You funny.
  4. I agree with everything you said. I guess my issue is that I may hold Fairchild more or most responsible, but I don't guess we'll be seeing him in the NFL again any time soon. If D.J. whiffs again on O-coordinator, it should be his ass. His statement: playoffs or else?
  5. WRONG: I made no mention or reference to QBs other than respond to yours. In fact this thread is basically about the power running game. You must also like revisionist history?
  6. Well, apparently the option is to replaced the offensive coordinator. Two you QB's: So now JP (young?, 4 years in) is at fault for the running game also? I felt it was bad play calling.
  7. I took a look to see the average age and NFL experience of the projected D-line and O-line starters this year. The good news is, there are no rookie or 2nd year guys anywhere. The bad news, the D-line may be at their prime. Denney is 30 this year, he was an older rookie when selected. Schobel is also 30: we'll see what he has left. The O-line I would think are really in their prime, and could be viable for a couple more years, assuming a replacement for Fowler. The window for both these units may be now, and closing quickly with no significant O-linemen drafted and 1 D-lineman, Fine. 8. That's the concensus around here, and I think it's true. My question has always been, how is it that DJ and his staff were not able to correct this last year, or even address the issue? Whose team is it? Why not just have coordinators and no HC? If your strategy is so inflexible and your staff is incapable of making game to game, or even in-season adjustments, why bother?
  9. Nice article, thanks. I think that would be a good fit (power football), but they have been basically saying that for several years now, and still haven't seen it. You would think with the biggest O-line in the league they would be better. Maybe Fairchild was gone at the end of the season anyway, and Turk will get some better production. Can't be much worse?
  10. I would have to agree with you on this. DJ playing not to lose, and keeping it close, and some very questionable game management, PLUS a rookie O-coordinator and a first time starting QB just don't add up for me. Hope we're both wrong. If you look at this years free agency moves and the draft, Buffalo is obviously stocking up for a long, defense defense defense, grind it out year. In the AFC, if you can't score points, you're not going to win. See N.E., Indy, S.D..
  11. Seems OK. Jim Rome on now, I'm listening locally on in SoCal.
  12. Chris's mom doesn't take kindly to criticism of her son! Kelsay is average at best. Probably not even that. Never really understood the Kelsay-Denney platoon thing. Neither one is a starter IMO, and I have no idea why Marv gave him such a big contract. Buffalo management also appears to have had little faith in D-line, per the D-line acquisitions this past off-season. D Tackle START - Marcus Stroud D Tackle Rotate/situational - Spencer Johnson D End Rotate - Chris Ellis Tripplet - gone. Enough said there.
  13. I have a question, for anyone really: How is it that you have a professional football team, with pro coaches, and a very experienced O-line coach, and the Bills weren't able to recognize the apparent strengths and weaknesses of this line and make any kind of adjustments? These guys are getting paid to do that, aren't they?
  14. Houston Texans won 8 games last year in probably the best division in football. I would expect them to make a very serious run in 2008. Mark it down.
  15. On the other hand, some (read TODD) aren't qualified to post on this board. I have kept you blocked for several years just because of stupid posts like this. Carry on!
  16. I always like taking D linemen, however with the 3rd taking Chris Ellis, the Bills will now have 3 left defensive ends? Is this the end of Kelsay or Denney?
  17. I say go for it. He'll play RG.
  18. I think the Bills have a habit of reaching. Look for then to also this year. Whatever the pick, Kiper gives Bills a "C".
  19. Devin Thomas
  20. And there you have it! I wonder, seriously, who will be the first of the "hydra" G.M. to go, and how that would be handled.
  21. I can understand that. But doesn't that seem a high price to pay for a guy that cost two picks and most likely won't stay after the season? Couldn't they sign an older vet. backup or something?
  22. Not really a "trade" guy, but why would the Bills keep J.P. given that: 1. He already said he wants to be traded and wants out. 2. His contract expires after this coming season, UFA? 3. He is not starter material (IMHO) and won't stay as a backup. 4. The Bills can get something for him now. If the Bills were realistically going to make a deep playoff run, I could see it. They're not, yet. FYI: THIS IS NOT A LOSMAN vs EDWARDS DEBATE. The Bills already made that decision. This is a personell, trade value thing. Are they waiting until after the draft and training camps? That would mean if traded, it would probably be for a future pick? Flame away.
