  1. Good news. I wonder how much this little stunt will ultimately cost him. We may never know. Also, I really hope Edwards come out if the first game healthy.
  2. The Bills keep selling season tickets for a team that goes nowhere.
  3. Well, this is supposed to be the playoffs or bust year. If they blow it again, we'll not have to look far for someone to blame.
  4. He gets a full, complete salary for the year without making the 1st game active list?
  5. They've Ellison listed at 6' 0" 229. That seems really small for an NFL linebacker.
  6. Agree. Traded UP to get him also. Another reason I hate trading up, by the Bills anyhow. If you're an elite team, fine, but the Bills are not nor have they been. Hope he gets on the field soon and kicks some but.
  7. Easy there. I'm not saying Buffalo doesn't need him. If he thinks he deserves top 10 money he's wrong. Again the question, how much do you pay him? Not smearing, just going by some very basic stats. There were seven games last year where he had 2 or fewer catches. How much is he worth? I don't really know. I'm not really certain he's a legit # 1.
  8. Believe! '06 was a big season for him, but other than that, not so much. I'll buy into the bad O.C. reasoning, although the same O.C. in '06. I'll even buy into the no real # 2 receiver on the other side of the field. Same problem again in '06, see P. Price. The QB shuffle probably didn't help either, but then J.P wasn't back there locking onto him every play. But for a # 1 he did disappear for almost entire games last season. How much do you pay a guy that has averaged 58 receptions / year? http://www.nfl.com/players/leeevans/profile?id=EVA454901
  9. Ditto. Does this mean McCan'tgo is officially a bust? Before the FLAMING starts, Marv traded UP to get him in the 1st round. FWIW: This is why I generally hate trading up, unless you're a perennial playoff team, which the Bills are not. Flame away.
  10. If he starts disappearing again during games, it could be a while. Then again, this is a contract year.
  11. Is there anyone else in the NFL still holding out?
  12. If Buffalo really expects to win 9 or 10 games this year, this probably IS a must win.
  13. I'm glad they're getting some new blood in the WR unit. About damn time. Get some guys who can develop and contribute.
  14. No, but it may be where my hopes of a Bills playoff win have been interred.
  15. Looks like he is? http://www.buffalobills.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=122567
  16. A agree to not mention the aforenamed player or read/respond to posts referencing to him.
  17. Ocho "Screw Lose"
  18. They gotta keep this this guy. Love live the Chroise TM. x
  19. Well, guess not. Nice return though.
  20. Excellent point, and I think you may be right. Tenn. finished in 6th spot last year at 10 - 6, and 4-2 in the division and 7-5 in the conference. That AFC South is brutal. 1. *- New England Patriots ACE 16 0 0 1.000 589 274 315 75 8-0 8-0 6-0 1.000 12-0 1.000 4-0 16W 5-0 2. z- Indianapolis Colts ACS 13 3 0 .813 450 262 188 54 6-2 7-1 5-1 .833 9-3 .750 4-0 1L 4-1 3. z- San Diego Chargers ACW 11 5 0 .688 412 284 128 49 7-1 4-4 5-1 .833 9-3 .750 2-2 6W 5-0 4. y- Jacksonville Jaguars ACS 11 5 0 .688 411 304 107 50 6-2 5-3 2-4 .333 8-4 .667 3-1 1L 3-2 5. z- Pittsburgh Steelers ACN 10 6 0 .625 393 269 124 46 7-1 3-5 5-1 .833 7-5 .583 3-1 1L 2-3 6. y- Tennessee Titans ACS 10 6 0 .625 301 297 4 28 5-3 5-3 4-2 .667 7-5 .583 3-1 3W 4-1
  21. In all honesty, I think that is really the best we can hope for this year. 10 wins may not get a Wild Card spot.
  22. I wonder if Peters would be so adamant about getting paid right now if Buffalo was NOT expected to seriously compete for a playoff spot this year? If he does continue to sit out, his ultimate pay day will almost certainly be smaller, Buffalo may be inclined to NOT give him money this year, and oh yeah, he still has two more years left on the contract. Nice job.
  23. Understanding the draft is not an exact science, and also understanding it appears the Bills MAY have drafted later rounds for Special Teams/Kicking Game spots, how many drafted players will actually make the final cut? I find it interesting to keep an eye on the roster for age and experience of the team. Also, in general, the more rookies you start, the weaker your roster probably is. Parcells said once, for every rookie you start you lose one game. Maybe, maybe not. Not going to argue with Parcells, although he may have been saying that for effect, and maybe the number of starting rookies does have a general negative impact on overall success. Marv also hated starting rookies as I recall, and the only one he started was Ruben Brown. Let's start with the givens, and break it down from there. 1. McKelvin will obviously make the roster and likely start perhaps before the bye. 2. Hardy will obviously make the roster and likely start: The sooner the better IMHO. 3. Ellis will obviously make the roster, although would be a real surprise to start given the $ Kelsay is getting. 4. Corner will make the roster: someone in front of him may go, or they may keep 6 CBs? Can't cut a 4th round pick. 5. Fine will make the roster given the weak TE situation, and again a 4th round pick. 6. Bowen, gone for the season already, IR. Not sure how to count that one. That's five (5) 2008 draftees. I can easily see that. Flame away! Round Pick Overall Pos. Player College 1 11 11 CB Leodis McKelvin Troy 2 10 41 WR James Hardy Indiana 3 9 72 DE Chris Ellis Virginia Tech 4 15 114 CB Reggie Corner Akron 4 33* 132 TE Derek Fine Kansas 5 12 147 OLB Alvin Bowen Iowa St. 6 13 179 RB Xavier Omon Northwest Missouri State 7 12 219 OT Demetrius Bell Northwestern State 7 17** 224 WR Steve Johnson Kentucky 7 44* 251 CB Kennard Cox Pittsburgh P.S. I couldn't believe how good Edwards looked last night. That second TD to Royal was beautiful, IMHO. (NOT a JP vs TE THREAD!) P.P.S. Almost forgot, if they do keep 5 and start 2, this would be a very tough team to make next year for day 2 draftees. I hope.
  24. OK, thanks. I thought someone broke out a "HehateMe" jersey or something.
  25. Not seeing game now. I don't get it?
