  1. I think Matty Ice has top 5 weapons: Top 10 veteran receiver Roddy White - check, Top 5 young receiver rising star, Julio Jones - check, Top 5 veteran tight end, greates tight end in nfl history, Tony Gonzalez - check. As for himself Ryan is good but he isn't too mobile, and his arm is average. He reminds me a lot of Carson Palmer without the injuries.
  2. Sign & trades are an NBA only idea, don't think they are legal in the NFL. I think if we like Levitre & can sign Byrd why not franchise Levitre? Agree with cutting Kelsay & Fitz now. As for your draft I dunno that EJ will last to the 3rd round. I'd prefer Glennon with our 1st round pick. Bowe & Jennings will sign with contenders with proven QBs unless we over pay like we did with Mario. Drafting Ogletree LB from Georgia is another possibility.
  3. It should comedown to simple arithmetic that you can't grow government spending faster than inflation & the economy.
  4. It's actually much higher than 47%, around 80% after taking out refund deductions. That means the top 20% is footing nearly all the goverments operating cost, while the bottom 80% simply pay FICA (social security, medicare). Somewhere in Valhalla Ayn Rand is spinning in her little grave.
  5. Define poor before asking this question, in fairness to the thread.
  6. Brass Balls are hard to shine.
  7. NC is such a bad state. How many illegals do they have? I've heard 1:25.
  8. Meazza made the video cut?
  9. Not relying upon the government, not needing social security, Medicare & the pension benefit guarantee corporation.
  10. Obama has managed to add 3.4 million more people to Social Security Disability than actual jobs created, and that my friends is change we can believe in: "Since our president entered the White House in January 2009 through September of this year 5.9 million people have been added to the SSDI or Social Security Disability program. That compares with less than 2.5 million jobs created during the same period. According to Social Security Administration data, currently including spouses and children, SSDI rolls have swollen to a bloated 10.9 million. A record one in fourteen workers is now on the SSDI dole. It’s like checking in a hotel and never leaving. Of the 653,877 souls that departed the program in 2011, 36% departed by being gracious enough to die, while 52% reached retirement age and seamlessly switched to other benefits. Only 6% returned to work and 3.6% exited the program due to medical improvement. According to Congressional Research Services this program cost taxpayers $128.9 billion in 2011 and was in deficit to the tune of $25.3 billion. Funded by the 1.8% payroll tax and comprising nearly 18% of all social security spending, at current pace the trust fund may be exhausted by as early as 2015." http://www.forbes.com/sites/richardfinger/2013/01/14/fraud-and-disability-equal-a-multibillion-dollar-balck-hole-for-taxpayers/
  11. Roll the tape, the kid as that "IT" factor. I don't think he's a top 10 player, but that kid is dynamic. Personally I'd like to see us grab the protype 6'2'' to 6'5'' 200-230 receiver, and with Stevie rumored to be moving into the slot I'm not sure how Austin would fit into our offense running as a #1, #2 receiver.
  12. You mean quick drives: 3 & outs ; )
  13. McCoy arm too weak too small too injury prone. Weeden too old, too unproven, too average. Pass on both.
  14. The final 20% pending on who the QB will be?
  15. You crazy. Justin Hunter is the WR from Tenn. you want. But look at the trigger man Tyler Bray, dude has a whip.
  16. Barkley is a good guy, I just don't think he'll be durable enough, and strong-armed enough to make the grade in Buffalo. I'm even starting to think Geno Smith wouldn't be a good fit. I'm starting to settle on Mike Glennon whom has the size, and potential to be a good QB if developed for a couple of seasons. The only other guy I see with possible potential is the young Tyler Bray 6'6'' 232.
  17. http://finance.yahoo...Y3Rpb25z;_ylv=3 Good video. Analyst says Amazon stole Walmart sales & Best Buy price match helped neutralize Walmart's electronic sales. "The big theme: they can't get any margin, they have no pricing power and the consumer is not going to the store as much as they used to," says Sozzi.
  18. Good article, but to lay all the blame at the foot of the banking industry. I contend we are in an era of govt & banking duopoly & not oligopoly as Allison states. "Allison says the TARP bailout fund and other post-crisis action by Washington merely propped up unhealthy bank giants (as well as Detroit unions), creating a "government-sponsored oligopoly".
  19. Byrd will be signed. As for Levitre. It's time to pony up a contract similar to Logan Mankins: 6 years / 51 million, with $20 million guaranteed, last 5 years with 250k workout bonuses. Now is Levitre at Mankins level? No. Is Levitre a top 10 guard that has been healthy and a good reliable player? Yes. Ruben Brown for all his Pro Bowls was not Logan Mankins, one could make the argument Levitre has been our best player the past 2 seasons. You don't let a top 5 player on your roster walk away easily.
  20. Trade back the #8 pick to a team like Cincy and get their #1 & #3/4 and next years #1. Take BPA at (QB, WR, LB, DT) positions.
  21. Terrible solution. Simply eliminate the federal minimum wage, and overtime pay. For $3, $4, $5 an hour there would be a lot more people working as opposed to $7.25 or heaven forbid $9.00. The government needs to eliminate medicare, social security and other entitlements. When private sector debt and asset prices come down, that destroys a lot of wealth, money and debt, which makes wealth more scarce and deflation is allowed to happen. What we need is banks to fail, which will lower prices, and therefore allow for these lower wages. We need to let the global melt down commence.
  22. I agree on the front of the private sector debt is the problem. Some 38 to 42 trillion private sector debt crunching down to a likely fall to 20 trillion. We can't have sustainable growth with that much private sector debt. Bernake has FAILED because he's given the banks money at nearly zero percent interest to prop them up as the private sector delever's this debt. If Bernake understood economics he would have let the banks fail, then the debts would have been annulled.
  23. Glennon has enough mobility in the pocket to separate himself from pressure. Add a couple of seasons of plyometric strength training you'll have a very solid foundation. Brady has developed himself from a 2000 combine schlub to a durable QB by 2001. It is also widely noted Brady is an hardcore jump roper which he attributes to his ability to operate efficiently in the pocket. For those who have doubts on Glennon go to YouTube and search Mike Glennon 2012 Highlights [HD]. Fitzpatrick cannot make many of these throws, plus Glennon is nearly 6'7''.
  24. When bonds start falling from 300 year highs you will see Bernanke's stimulus attempts fail. 2 Factors will crush Bernanke; private sector debt & rising interest rates caused by bond defaults.
  25. The minimum wage is 7.25, which is too high. In fact I will make the argument all MW laws do is lead to higher unemployment of younger people at a time where 60% of them are unemployed. If we can uncap this regulated wage the market would be flooded in a good way with employers hiring the unemployed for a wage they are worth.
