  1. You've been reading between the lines on the Toronto arraignment for a long time. I don't think there's much there given the complexity of the owners equity rule, and the fact that NFL ownership must be domestic. I've read a lot of theories on the topic, from the obvious Galisano & Pegula rumors, to the obscure, that Mr. Wilson sold off equity in the team in a deal brokered by Sal Galatioto, & financed by JP Morgan pe. The reality is no one knows what will happen. Fundamentally this is what will occur upon Wilson's death; his estate will be divided. Wilson's wife is 28 years his minor, so any 100% transfer is unlikely given Wilson's 2 surviving children are nearly their same age. Btw it's Ralph's 95th birthday this week.
  2. Happy Birthday. 95 more years!
  3. "It's easy to make game winning field goals." Signed, Scott Norwood & Billy Cundiff
  4. Had to check in on this thread. Thoughts on the agreement?
  5. I'm going out on a Belichickian Super Bowl 25 like whim....If we hold the Dolphins under 17 points we will win. We haven't held a team under 20 points all season, its time to have a dominating defensive game with Byrd & Gilmore coming into the fray.
  6. this article came out of Portland, OR. No doubt the business interests in Portland would like to add an NFL & NHL team. for the record greater portland has 2,289,800 over 6,684 square miles. Buffalo has 1,135,509 over just 1,567 square miles Rochester has 1,054,323 over just 2,930 square miles So not counting our neighbors in Canada, Buffalo & Rochester has as many people as the Portland MSA in 33% less land area. Outside business interests have long tried to divide Buffalo & Rochester to delegitimize WNY. The answer? Stop letting the national media split Buffalo & Rochester.
  7. We also get the Jets too
  8. Then let's not stop with 2 annual pro bowlers. Gronkowski? Brady? Talib? Mankins? Solder? Maybe they get lucky and have a regular 20+ on IR year like the Bills seem to do every other year.
  9. Well we did lose to NE too. I posted earlier this year a picture of the 5 starting NE linemen wearing knee braces. The result? Zero knee injuries. Meanwhile Urbik & Legursky have injured their knees this year. They are now wearing braces on their injured knees. The Pats depth will be tested. It's interesting to compare & contrast franchises. I for one think while not perfect the Patriots are a model of consistency whose best practices should be emulated.
  10. Wow, so in your view it comes down to coaching and players/injuries don't matter.
  11. First wilfork now mayo, injuries are a piling up in Foxboro. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=9831066
  12. Ran that query 12 teams have given up 20+ or more in all of their games, their combined record? 25-34. So; Total record when giving up over 20 is 44-78. Total record when scoring over 20 is 78-44. Conclusion? The stingier your defense is the more you win.
  13. If our run defense can keep the remaining opponent rushing totals below 100 yards in every game I like our chances. I think Byrd & Gilmore are key to us making a run.
  14. Why don't we simply trade Thad to the Titans and get that Fitzy guy everyone has been raving about.
  15. Luckily for us we get Miami next week coming off their bye week. Then we get to play in New Orleans the following week...coming off their bye too.
  16. We get a chance to beat KC in a few weeks. My guess they beat us by 10.
  17. What if Flynn's work out sucks? Flynn has failed everywhere he's landed, why even give him a spot? Once EJ is healthy send Tuel to the PS.
  18. I think Choice is the best goal line back. He seems to be able to get lower than spiller & Jackson & can drive .
  19. Fantasy football is a joke. To be fair players should get points if there team wins.
  20. What we learned is you need your wrist to play well. I seem to remember half of our fan base burying Mario last year when he had a wrist injury. Gilmore was targeted in the screen game for sure. If a WR can't shed blocks he can't possibly be expected to play on non passing downs. The screen passes are a 1st and 2nd down play. Why not play Gilmore on 3rd down only?
  21. So much cynicism towards a team we all purport to love. I'm a fan who struggles with the self-identity crisis Bills fans endure. The 13 straight seasons of no playoffs, after an era of brilliance. It's difficult to keep the faith during these dark times. Every time we as fans get upset, could it not be the fact that we fill voids in our life loving this team? The past few years I've slowly begun to appreciate this. I revel in the mediocrity, and apparent lack of progress. The quagmire of ineptitude the Bills find themselves in really reflects the lives of the majority of the Bills fan base. When you think about it the fair weather fans gave up on this franchise long ago.
  22. 3rd & 3 vs 3rd. & 6, thanks to Glenn's false start really hurt us.
  23. Marrone said everything he needed to say about Tuel last Monday. That Tuel - doesn't have the ability to extend plays, & that he was a bit overwhelmed. In hindsight Tuel would have been a great practice squad QB for us. Marrone's rationale of keeping Tuel off the PS so as to avoid waivers seems a bit illogical given the fact that most teams have an abundance of QB depth, and most teams are cutting QBs after the final pre-season game, and good veteran QBs flood the market.
  24. Brady's pick made me smile . At 36 years old his time in the league is closing. His late game playoff picks, last week & today. Brady can't play elite ball forever. In 2-3 seasons this guy is done, & EJ will be 25-26 entering his prime.
  25. Pieces, p - poise (on 3rd down offense & defense) i - I-formation (more smash mouth) e - efficiency (take the points in red zone) c - close out, (gotta close games out) e - effort, (need more hustle plays) s - special teams, (cover a damn punt!)
