Agreed. But I think they had a ton of success on first down. Chiefs definitely stiffened up in the second half and we did get into second and long a few times. But more often than not, we were getting 3-5 yards on 1st down. I think there is a direct correlation between that commitment to the run and Josh ending up with basically 2-3 incompletions all game.

I will defend Brady a little bit here. It takes a tremendous amount of discipline to stick to the run like that. Maybe they could have mixed up their running plays. But the commitment to the run was impressive. Allowed us to control the clock, and get us in 3rd and manageable.

I think Calais wouldn’t do it. Wanted to head his career where it started. But I agree about him being a great fit— what an amazing player! I am thinking Jalen Phillips from the dolphins, if they would trade with us.

Somebody needs to get McD credit. He thoroughly outcoached Reid, the offensive genius. And he did so with a lineup without many of its best players.

I am always surprised at these Achilles injuries by pro athletes. Maybe it’s because I am an old man athlete now and have learned things the hard way, but I probably spend 20 minutes every night just stretching my Achilles, and then do 20 minutes more of that Achilles stretching before I play hoops (which I do 3-4 times per week). And on top of that, I wear Achilles braces while playing all sports, including sports as low impact as pickleball and golf.
