It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about Taron
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem with Taron being underperforming is the defense basically needs him to be elite. He is the cog to the entire D. -
Who's the Emotional Leader on the Bills ??

Just wait until the pats lose a bit, and we will see how their emotional leader channels that emotion. -

yet we saw intentional grounding when the QB was 1 foot inside the tackle box! They really need to spend this much time looking at this replay? -

Technically correct. But weird. they really aren’t that precise with the “out of the tackle box.” He was like a foot or two away. -

Wow. They usually are pretty liberal with that call. -

How can the niners throw the ball to a lineman? Shouldn’t that have been illegal touching? -

What is with this atlanta offense? Last week, it was super creative. Ton of motion, unique formations and groupings. This week it is very simple. -

I think you just have to run on them. San Fran with a pretty good game plan so far. -

it’s a really hard play, and some of these QBs and WRs make it look so easy. That was a perfect throw and such a great adjustment and strong catch. They made it look super easy. -
For the many superstitious fans out there like me (and @Just Jack ), you have to admire Dan Campbell’s wife! https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/wife-detroit-lions-dan-campbell-200000333.html Here are the highlights: During games in Detroit, Holly watches and supports the team from a stadium suite — just not in the way most people might imagine. “If things are not going our way, I get sent to the bathroom,” she shares, noting there's one inside the suite. *** But if things go south, Holly takes note of what she was wearing and puts the outfit “on ice for a while,” adding that it's "not being worn any time soon.” *** At the time, the Lions endured 10 losses before finally securing a win against the Minnesota Vikings. “The day we won our first game, I forgot to say it – for the first time ever,” Holly says. “And it’s worked out for him, so maybe it was me. The whole time, it was me saying, ‘Do a good job.’ ”

This is the age old debate of would you trade “best college team” for “worst NFL team.” There’s no way. it’s not like I don’t watch college football and see how good Ohio state and some of the other elite teams are. But it’s an apples to oranges comparison. Even of the 14 Ohio state players drafted last year, more than half will flame out. That’s just the normal bust odds for NFL draft picks.

The Athletic - some grim stats (new Tim Graham piece)
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think the oline has been bad in pass pro. The bills (Josh?) haven’t been setting their protections right, leading to tons of free rushers. -
agree. On a related note, My buddy who is a Steelers fan was complaining about the CB coverage last night on that play. That was perfect coverage! Higgins is just so good— he’s going to just adjust and catch that. well, I did say Flacco played great. But even he admitted that it was like being a kid in a candy store throwing to those two guys.
