I am always surprised at these Achilles injuries by pro athletes. Maybe it’s because I am an old man athlete now and have learned things the hard way, but I probably spend 20 minutes every night just stretching my Achilles, and then do 20 minutes more of that Achilles stretching before I play hoops (which I do 3-4 times per week).
And on top of that, I wear Achilles braces while playing all sports, including sports as low impact as pickleball and golf.
