i rented our prior townhouse that was 20 Minutes away for about 10 years. Hated every minute of it. I even had a property manager. Just all the little things popping up at the worst times, and the HOA constantly squeezing me. Being a landlord is for some and not others. I will never do it again. Such a relief to not even think about it.

I agree. The only upside is that the streaming market is more competitive than the cable market, so one would hope that keeps costs down. But even then, it is no coincidence that Hulu and YouTube both charge a monthly fee within a few dollars of each other.

Sadly, I am a gen Xer, and am shouting at the TV, “where the heck is Tru TV?” 😁 you may want to call DTV loyalty before you cancel. I almost “for real” canceled during Covid, and got some ridiculous deal for a year— $50/month (after fees and taxes), for about a year. (This time when I canceled, though, the best they could get me to was $90ish per month— well above YouTube or Hulu).
