  1. I actually love the Wilson move. He only has to be decent, and they will be contending. He was solid last year, and showed some flashes of magic. Will probably do the same this year. I bet Fields never sees the field.
  2. I follow Michigan football. This is spot on re Wilson. I have been surprised by the hype, but maybe that’s what happens when you win the championship.
  3. Maybe he can be more of a catch and shoot guy at that high of a D-1 level? But, otherwise, he doesn’t strike me as a guy with enough athleticism to create his own shot, or do anything on either side of the floor that makes me think he can be a contributor on a team like UNC or Virginia, etc.
  4. Justin Taylor would be a great fit at Sienna too! He is more of a MAAC-type player.
  5. good for him. Hope he kills it there.
  6. I have yet to see a guy mentioned in this thread that is materially better that Ty Johnson. I say we ride it out with cook and Ty, and a 5th-ish round draft pick. can always get one of these aging vets mid season.
  7. I hear you. I guess it’s a matter of whether you can afford it. Seems like a poor allocation of cap space for a #3 WR, who will be mostly a decoy and maybe catch like 20 passes. They have enough other toys in that offense that can play that same role. Agree on Tua!
  8. They hired an OC with no prior experience, who turned out to be awful. They kept yanking him in and out of the lineup due to poor play. They then bring in an even worse OC in Hackett, and they end up yanking him in and out of the lineup again, going so far as to demote him to 3rd string and say he will Never play again, to then putting him back in the starting lineup (while leaking false stories about him not wanting to play anymore). now when they can do him a solid and just release him or trade him away for a low pick, they are playing hardball? The developmental process for Wilson was just scattershot and they surrounded him with bad coaches, totally undermined his confidence, and now are just treating him poorly who treats their no. 2 overall pick like that, especially after only like 2 1/2 years? He might be terrible, but they really put him behind the 8 ball the entire time he was there.
  9. I agree. The way they have mismanaged him has caused me to root for him. I would like to see him go to some team with a QB whisperer as a head coach, and see if he can reclaim his career.
  10. At this point, they are just torturing Zach Wilson. This guy has been brutally mismanaged.
  11. bizarre move by both sides. Miami will have to overpay. And there is only 1 ball to go around. hill, waddle, Achane, and Mostert are All higher priority targets.
  12. I also wonder if this has something to do with conference realignment? It was around that time when I stopped watching as much non-Syracuse bball.
  13. On a separate note, I have realized that I can’t really knowledgeably fill out a NCAA bracket anymore. I think with the demise of Syracuse bball, I just have no incentive to watch the elite teams in college bball play. I haven’t seen any of the top seeds play this year. back when Syracuse was ranked, I feel like I knew so much more about college bball as a whole. not sure if anyone is in the same boat?
  14. This has all the markings of a Peter Guelli signing. The guy becomes COO and then comes in hard with the splash signing!
  15. Mike Williams just signed with the jets. Pete is already asleep at the wheel.
  16. As much as I like to bash the Jets, if they have the money to throw around, this is a good signing. They don’t need Williams to be fully healthy. They have Hall and Wilson as their main offensive weapons. Williams will be great as a complimentary piece who ideally can play in like 60% of the games. It’s a bit of a luxury signing for them.
  17. Haha. I suspect this contract is fully guaranteed too.
  18. Love this! I actually had him ranked 14th on my detailed list of free agent rankings, and had given him a RAS score of 4.372533.
  19. Git r done, Petey. Git r done.
  20. is your screen name really “no acl’s”? Haha. That’s great.
  21. This is like Mario Williams all over again. My F5 key is down to the bones.
  22. I guess as predicated. Still don’t understand Copeland. Is there that much better of a spot for him next year?
  23. i have a theory that is backed up with no data and sheer speculation that Tyson-related highlights are like top-5 most viewed YouTube content in America. (I have a buddy who just watches interviews of him, and claims Tyson is a genius)!
  24. Same. Tyson is going to destroy him. Now, if you will excuse me, I plan to yet again go down another 1-hour Mike Tyson YouTube rabbit hole.
