  1. hey, at least I am honest. I could have been like the twitter experts and overexaggerate the significance of some meaningless blocking drills!
  2. I finally made it to camp post-Fredonia, with my kids. It was a great time and everyone at SJF was so friendly and professional. Here is my review of the 7/29 training practice: 1) Kids got a bunch of free stuff 2) Watched some players I never heard of running some mostly routine drills. Interspersed in there were some sweet passes by Josh and runs by Cook and Davis. 3) Waited with the kids as they got one autograph of some random player I never heard of. Overall, a great day!!
  3. If anyone has one extra ticket for the Monday 7/29 session, I would appreciate it. I am making a special trip out to Rochester with the family, but am still short one ticket. Thanks!
  4. how about the service animals? My very able bodied BIL And sister got one of their dogs designated as a “service dog” and just waltz right on. Meanwhile, I am battling with the other C boarders for a non-middle seat or trying to figure out how not to get my young kids strewn across the plane I random seats. This is the winner.
  5. Going on Monday with the kids. Any tips on getting autographs?
  6. I think he was there before we signed him, right? I actually always thought he was solid even as a backup LB, in addition to a ST player.
  7. Ugh. I am now only picturing the kids book “Make Way for Ducklings.”
  8. oh man, that stinks. Thanks for letting me know.
  9. I went to this same joint practice at Steelers camp years ago (Marrone era). Easier for Bills fans to go to this than to St. John Fisher. It’s just open fields and endless space and parking at Steelers camp.
  10. agreed! I am amazed at how good Josh is too. Not easy to be out there hitting in the 70s. Even though he can probably hit the ball a mile, you aren’t scoring in the 70s unless you have a great all-around game.
  11. A really quirky actress, and awesome in the Shining! RIP.
  12. Haha. I need to just delete this thread now.
  13. After all my griping, my wife won the lottery! Going on July 29th! First time in like decades. if anyone has an extra ticket for the July 29 session (looking for 1 more), please let me know!
  14. Judah Mintz playing pretty meh in the summer league has me wondering why in the world he thought it was a good idea to leave Syracuse early?
  15. As an aside, We have a jet ski, and I now use the Hines incident as a cautionary tale to family and friends who ride it. as I understand it, Hines did nothing wrong. But you always want to stay clear of other reckless jet ski drivers.
  16. yeah, to me, that looks like a few foursomes, stretching before their round!
  17. I still argue that Barry Sanders was the best pro sports (all sports) athlete I have ever seen.
  18. I think as a DB, you look back when you think the ball is in the air. Any time sooner, and you are going to lose your guy. on an underthrown ball, as a DB, you have no chance— because when you are running and then looking back, the WR in front of you just suddenly stops. You are going to collide into him. Just not a fair play.
  19. Either way, it shouldn’t be a penalty. They are now rewarding a terrible throw and penalizing great coverage.
  20. Might correlate to the dumbness of the rule— the whole underthrown ball DPI is absurd. That’s the one rule I hope they change. If the ball is underthrown, it should be deemed “not catchable.”
  21. Agreed. I am not taking my three elementary age kids to a regular season NFL game and dropping like $1000, and they probably won’t even enjoy it, and I will be mostly distracted myself. Also, the team is really missing out on developing more young fans. When I was a kid, I got into the Bills because they held a pre-season practice at my local HS in Rochester in the mid 80s. Got to get a bunch of autographs and see the players up close, for free. Really ignited my passion in the team.
  22. Same boat. I have tried for the last 5 years, but with no chance. I live out of the area, but happen to be in Rochester on Monday July 29, so was hoping to take my kids to their first TC session. wish it were like the old days and like most other camps— in a sleepy town, with sprawling fields and areas for parking and for fans to just walk in. oh well. If anyone has tickets to the 29th and doesn’t want them, I will take them! Thanks.
