  1. Our LBs against the Jets RBs in coverage is going to be a concern this year. Sort of wonder if we are in a base dime against them?
  2. I am always confused how other teams can run those TE boot legs so easily to a wide open guy. And it never seems to work for us.
  3. Another interesting thing about this article is that it makes clear that you don’t really need good safeties to play these shell defenses. It’s probably why the team feels fine with Hamlin and rapp back there on our end.
  4. Weird .I just read an article re fantasy football that said to start Shakir because the jags have given up the second most yards to receivers in the NFL.
  5. This is pretty funny: kicking is too easy now, and a proposal to narrow the posts. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/have-nfl-kickers-gotten-so-good-a-rule-change-is-in-order-204633916.html
  6. but that was cover 0. I am assuming the jags will try to mostly rush 4 or 5, and have a guy stick with our RBs in coverage. I think we need a receiver and TE who can get open. Maybe it is Coleman catching some contested balls too? good points. But would love to not have to rely on Allen scrambling around.
  7. This is a concern. Don’t think we have a true “man beater.” Seems like the one guy who was good at that was Isaiah McKenzie.
  8. Man, why am I so excited to see Buffalo Joe suit up?! I really hope this guy turns into something!
  9. Etienne is not all that impressive. But he gets his yards, mostly on these little dump offs and screens. If I am the bills, you have to play for that, and tackle well. If they can limit him, then the rest of the Jags offense will suffer.
  10. Just spent like 15 minutes of watching kicking YouTube videos. According to what I saw, You want to kick the ball on the left low side of the ball and sort of swing in to out. on this kick, Bass planted way too close to the ball and hit it on the right side of the ball. That’s basically how you hook a golf ball too.
  11. actually, I was just watching some YouTube videos, and other kickers do that hop too. I would have assumed you just want to plant that foot and kick through (which is what butker does). But I guess the hop might be another way to kick and remain on balance.
  12. huh? Is that really the kick? What is the deal with that hop? Seems way off balance.
  13. A lot of kickers weirdly just need a Change of scenery. I don’t quite get it. But many take off at their second or third stops.
  14. This is crazy! It was tipped! (Or a slip!).
  15. the drop stats must be misleading. I literally saw him drop a ball last game. He was hit from behind after catching it, and dropped it— maybe it doesn’t count as a drop because of the hit. But it hit him in the chest and he dropped it.
  16. I hate to say this, but how about some injury karma for once. Instead of half our team going down, maybe they get the bug for once. I hate playing these guys— just fluke injury after injury….
  17. I always thought Kevin Mawae was just such a steady and superb center. I think he played for like 17 years and basically all of it at an all-pro level.
  18. I would like to actually take full credit for Benford. The day we drafted him, I said he reminded me exactly of one of my favorite Bills, Terrence McGee, and I was expecting greatness from him too. so, you can all thank me for posting that into fruition.
  19. To me, that’s a dumb strategy. I would want to test what the Bills vertical passing game can do with the new receivers. Are defenses really that worried about MVS getting behind them? I would be crowding the LOS, pressuring heavily, single high, and taking everything short away.
  20. I always said that Trent Edwards was way ahead of his time.
  21. At the highest levels, it’s all about execution. The chiefs are a few plays from never having reached the SB vs winning three times. Same with the Bills. yesterday’s game is a perfect example. I think to have that level of execution when the game is on the line you just have to be that talented and clutch and consistent. The chiefs have guys Ike Mahomes and Butker who are. Neither of those guys are going to make a mistake at the end.
  22. How about the bears running a few draws to start that drive? Keep the Texans guessing a bit.
  23. Is it me, or are a lot of these hits on Williams borderline illegal? On that hunter sack, he almost launched into him and slammed him down?
  24. agreed; he is running for his life and is trying to make a play.
