I actually think the chiefs got some bad sideline calls too. Late in the game, pachinko ran to the sideline and got down in bounds, and the ref called him out of bounds to stop the clock. the sideline officials were just incompetent. -
Same here. The one play I started to re-live at about 4 am was actually the weird overthrow to Shakir. I think that was a wasted play, which forced us into 3rd and long. The other play was around 6 am, and it was the last play. Bernard has to be able to run with Perrine on that. He tackles him in the open field and we get the ball back.

Allen feasts on Vic Faggio defenses. Would have been a shoot out.

yet their vaunted D gave up 29 points, and probably 36 if Kincaid catches that ball. Despite all the money and draft capital and coaching they spend on D, they only win due to their QB.

Worst night of sleep I had in a long time my time. Kept waking up every 2 hours and re-living all the key missed plays.

Agreed. It’s all about execution in the playoffs. i remember the lions win and thinking how well we all executed on offense— guys making hard catches, etc. We needed a broken tackle from coop, or a better block from Torrance, or a hard catch from Kincaid. That would have been the game.

this whole “You gotta beat the champs, to be the champs,” is nonsense. KC isn’t a good matchup for us. Let someone else take them out for us one time. Just like the Steelers in 2005, 2009, and 2011– they couldn’t beat Brady and the Pats, and some other team did it for them.

I wonder if this had to do with how they sort of combine ref crews for the playoffs. I wonder if you had some guys working the sidelines that don’t normally do that? The spots were wildly off all night.

In the end, it all came down to that last Allen pass and execution. Missed block by Torrance and no blitz pickup. That forced Josh to scramble, and not go to Shakir, who was wide open. The heave to Kincaid was actually perfect, and he dropped it. need to execute in the big moments to win in the playoffs.
