  1. Fair. I just think NE has a lot of money to throw around, has a desperate need at receiver, and we signed Palmer. Strikes me as unlikely, but you are right— who knows?
  2. I wouldn’t waste your time on thinking about this. It’s almost a certainty he will be in New England.
  3. Tough end to the season. Just not enough offense against SMU. i will now be cheering for McNeese State and our boy Qadir in the big dance!
  4. I always thought the Steelers did him dirty. He was the best or their collection of garbage QBs a few years back (Pickett, trubisky, Rudolph), yet ended up as a 3rd stringer.
  5. Hendrickson was a 3rd round pick. Watt was a very late 1st round pick. Maxx. Crosby was a 4th round pick. Chris Jones was a 2nd round pick. its not like picking a QB. You don’t have to strike gold. You can get elite pass rushers in the draft. Just have to pick better. just too risky for me to pay an elite pass rusher a ton of money.
  6. Be careful what you wish for. Browns and Steelers fans hate how much cap space is tied up in guys like Garrett and watt. That same thought is why the bengals are trading Hendrickson. Tying up so much money in 1 defensive player is not a great way to build your team. If we want an elite pass rusher, have to hit a home run in the draft.
  7. I was pretty steamed when they didn’t open our golf courses in my state for a while. I think they ended up opening up around late May. To your point, golf is about as socially distant a sport you can have. The upshot though is I ended up playing a record number of rounds in 2020, since there wasn’t much else to do!
  8. whoa?! Really? That’s not a bad move.
  9. must be hallucinating!
  10. Agree on all. I actually think he will end up bouncing back. He needed new scenery, new coaching, and a new scheme.
  11. There’s a bar by my house that serves no food. They get food trucks to be outside, mostly on weekends. That seems like a decent alternative for these places that can’t handle a full kitchen.
  12. Is he really a pure slot? For some reason I thought he also played on the outside (but could be wrong).
  13. it actually turns out that gene hackman’s daughter is a bit of a mess from some of the articles I have read. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-14480691/Gene-Hackman-daughter-dead-wife-starving-confused.html
  14. Yeah, this dude is fast. We could use some speed in that secondary.
  15. I desperately wanted Holland. The reality is McBeane are not going to pay a lot for safeties in our scheme. They just want sound tacklers and guys who can keep the lid on. I think the philosophy is spending more on the front 7, and then getting by in the secondary.
  16. i think DJ is getting cut, probably after the draft. I think they are still high on AJE. He is always going to be a rotational rusher and get us around 5 sacks. Need guys like that.
  17. Good for him! Couldn’t think of a better depth guy.
  18. Agreed. I know Kirkland well as my college roommate was a Steelers fan (and his biggest fan). He actually played a little lighter earlier in his career, but ballooned up to that 280, yet still could move. Really unique player.
  19. after Kirkland packed on his extra 100 pounds? 😃
  20. Big win against Florida State! Where was that defense all year? We march on!!
  21. They have learned from the Von Miller experience. I bet he is on a low snap count, and will be ramped up for the stretch and playoffs.
  22. isn’t he more of a nickel?
  23. I figured he would get like 2/8 or 2/9. That seems to be market rate for really good third down backs (eg, justice hill).
  24. there must be incentives too, otherwise this is way too low.
