i think it is more important to get a 5 with some offensive talent. I think if Lampkin can just eat space, i will take that!
-
this dude is a baller.

Sort of interesting though how the tournament has changed. It used to be a guard’s tournament. But I would argue that having depth and great play at the 4 and 5 is now almost equally important, especially in this day and age of grad transfers, etc.

I have to think Brown might be looking at UVA. He was recruited a little there, but now that he has blossomed, seems like he would be a great fit.

So probably the two most exciting guys from our team last year are gone. Just brutal. Wonder what his transfer options look like. I suspect he has many options.

I was thinking of that same UNLV team the other day. UConn winning it all is not a given. I actually think Purdue or NC State could match up well with them, if either of them make it.
-
I wish they set them up in different brackets. Would have been neat to see them rematch in the final 4, at least. it is crazy though— due solely to Clark, I have actually watched a little more women’s bball here down the stretch.

The Bills should slowly revolutionize the kicking game.

Billy Madison : So, you see, the puppy was like industry. In that, they were both lost in the woods. And nobody, especially the little boy - "society" - knew where to find 'em. Except that the puppy was a dog. But the industry, my friends, that was a revolution. -

I always loved this guy in San Fran. But he was always so injury prone. Finally staying healthy. Glad he is getting paid a bit. -
I don’t even understand this.

Michigan getting ready to set the draft record
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have been totally confused by the QB class and all the draft predictions. Caleb Williams feels like a total bust, yet he is the consensus 1. Penix looks like a total stud, and then you hear he may not even go until the 2nd or 3rd round. I have watched McCarthy a ton, and I have no idea how he will turn out as a pro. -
What are your thoughts on the Steelers QB situation?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually love the Wilson move. He only has to be decent, and they will be contending. He was solid last year, and showed some flashes of magic. Will probably do the same this year. I bet Fields never sees the field. -

I follow Michigan football. This is spot on re Wilson. I have been surprised by the hype, but maybe that’s what happens when you win the championship. -
Maybe he can be more of a catch and shoot guy at that high of a D-1 level? But, otherwise, he doesn’t strike me as a guy with enough athleticism to create his own shot, or do anything on either side of the floor that makes me think he can be a contributor on a team like UNC or Virginia, etc.

Justin Taylor would be a great fit at Sienna too! He is more of a MAAC-type player.
-
good for him. Hope he kills it there.
-
I hear you. I guess it’s a matter of whether you can afford it. Seems like a poor allocation of cap space for a #3 WR, who will be mostly a decoy and maybe catch like 20 passes. They have enough other toys in that offense that can play that same role. Agree on Tua!

Woody Johnson says the Jets will not release Zach Wilson.
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
They hired an OC with no prior experience, who turned out to be awful. They kept yanking him in and out of the lineup due to poor play. They then bring in an even worse OC in Hackett, and they end up yanking him in and out of the lineup again, going so far as to demote him to 3rd string and say he will Never play again, to then putting him back in the starting lineup (while leaking false stories about him not wanting to play anymore). now when they can do him a solid and just release him or trade him away for a low pick, they are playing hardball? The developmental process for Wilson was just scattershot and they surrounded him with bad coaches, totally undermined his confidence, and now are just treating him poorly who treats their no. 2 overall pick like that, especially after only like 2 1/2 years? He might be terrible, but they really put him behind the 8 ball the entire time he was there. -

I agree. The way they have mismanaged him has caused me to root for him. I would like to see him go to some team with a QB whisperer as a head coach, and see if he can reclaim his career. -

At this point, they are just torturing Zach Wilson. This guy has been brutally mismanaged.- 58 replies

bizarre move by both sides. Miami will have to overpay. And there is only 1 ball to go around. hill, waddle, Achane, and Mostert are All higher priority targets.
-
I also wonder if this has something to do with conference realignment? It was around that time when I stopped watching as much non-Syracuse bball.
-
On a separate note, I have realized that I can’t really knowledgeably fill out a NCAA bracket anymore. I think with the demise of Syracuse bball, I just have no incentive to watch the elite teams in college bball play. I haven’t seen any of the top seeds play this year. back when Syracuse was ranked, I feel like I knew so much more about college bball as a whole. not sure if anyone is in the same boat?
