  1. Very underrated role he had was in the movie “The Firm.” Really played that part so well!
  2. People need to forget Grant. Literally every team’s local media have identified Grant as their main sleeper if he is there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up in the top 10.
  3. Since Tremaine was only 16 years old when he did this, he was in the juvenile division and so is in a different record book.
  4. I think this makes a lot of sense. McBeane has already built nearly their entire offense. Cook would be a nice addition to his handiwork.
  5. calzones have to be a third thread!!
  6. I propose a friendly amendment to your thread. I think we need to know people’s go-to toppings on a “standard” pizza. That is, on a Regular crust, red sauce, shredded mozzarella pizza. That is different than what people like on an unusual or alternative or speciality pie. This is like a secondary category. I am seeing a lot of stuff in this thread like “honey,” “pineapple,” “vegan,” “sun dried tomatoes,” “stuffed crust,” “bbq chicken,” etc. That strikes me as more of the second category above, and is a whole other discussion.
  7. this is the first play I think of when I think of Peters.
  8. I remember when we first signed him. Lot of folks on here (myself included) thought he was the steal of the undrafted guys. Then, we were proven right and he developed into a stud!! And then we lost him!!! So Billsy.
  9. what is Doyle’s story? I do miss having a guy like Nick O’Leary, so the announcers can point out that he is jack Nicklaus’s grandson!
  10. I think it’s a great signal to Cook that we take care of our own.
  11. This is the NFL.com pre-draft report, which is what my expectations also were based on how he was hyped: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/keon-coleman/3200434f-4c29-5571-54fa-77236b775ae1 The former star basketball player has a rebounder’s blend of extension and timing to give jump-ball defenders the blues. He’s big and strong with soft hands, but he can play with a little more aggression in claiming his deep-ball space and getting after it as a run blocker.
  12. McD doesn’t like it either. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/sean-mcdermott-expresses-safety-concerns-about-the-tush-push
  13. Something about even a HB dive feels like more of a football or skill play. Have to block it up, hit the hole, etc. on the tush push, just feels like a mass of bodies each shoving each other.
  14. I do think it is prone to a lot more dirty play, as @RoyBatty is alive said. If I am playing the eagles, I am flying over the line early and just decking Jalen hurts. What’s the penalty? Moving the ball 2 inches forward. I think it’s consequences like these that will get it banned.
  15. To me, what was disappointing was Coleman just wasn’t as big and physical as advertised. I get that he doesn’t have the speed or separation. But he was supposed to be a big physical jump ball guy. Seeing Trent McDuffie (who is like 6 inches shorter and 20 pounds lighter) just manhandle and out-physical him in the AFCCG was not great.
  16. I actually think it ought to be banned. It’s just not a skill play.
  17. if you are a broccoli guy, I find it much better to have broccoli rabe (or rapini) on a pizza. I Used to go to a Neapolitan place that did a great white pizza with sausage and broccoli rabe, and it was excellent.
  18. very sad when anyone dies, but you had to use that quip. You had to. on a separate note, that song always reminds me of one my favorite early 2000s movies “About a Boy.” The kid in it is an awkward middle school kid who sings “killing me softly” for the school talent show, ready to basically feel the brunt of massive scorn and ridicule.
  19. where shall we meet?
  20. You had me at “Panthers.”
  21. I finished watching Beast Games with my kids on Amazon and thoroughly enjoyed it!
  22. Comes down to really a handful of plays. All about execution.
  23. If I had to guess based on the new DB coach, they are going to re-make their entire CB room with more man guys. So Jackson could be out.
  24. FWIW, my view is whether married or single, I think it’s just important to be content in one’s status, and kind of own it!
