Hopefully he is back for the playoffs. I made the comment earlier today that this sounds like a hockey injury and that’s basically how it was reported— “lower body/week to week.” The guy probably is dealing with a bunch of stuff. Let him rest up and be back for the playoffs. He may be far from 100% the rest of the year— but I think he will gut it out. I will say that I am a little excited as to what McKenzie can do playing in the slot this week.

i am with you. Playing a team 3 times is always a risk. Would rather draw the Colts or Browns.

I am not good at math, but if I had the time, I would probably base my predictions like this (chances of winning): 1) Bills/Dolphins: (60/40 bills) 2) Browns/Steelers (50/50) 3) Colts/jags (100/0 colts) 4)titans/Texans (70/30 titans) 5) ravens/Bengals (80/20 ravens)

I agree. The percentages in the OP seem way off. It would be nice to see what it looks like based on a weighted chance of success by each team.

This is sort of half the equation. The titans and ravens games will go a long way to deciding who we play. I think we want those two teams to win in order to avoid them.

I am sort of confused how the run game becomes so dominant in the last 10 minutes when the other team knows we are going to run.

I am super high on Sweeney. I think he can be just an overall solid TE2.

even when the Bills D was playing like trash earlier in the year, they have been able to scheme teams to take away their 1 strength. They did it against KC (stopping passing game) and Tenn (stopping Henry). if we have to play Baltimore— which i dread of any team— I think bills will come up with a way to really limit the run game. The key will be containing Lamar scrambling when he is back throwing and Andrews over the middle in the pass game, and making sure we can score points on O.

Not sure if this was discussed up thread, but I noticed Beasley hobbling last game too. I wonder if this is an aggravation and he is just dinged up in a variety of ways. Your classic hockey-like “lower body injury.”

I don’t think we can assume that the Steelers are resting starters. I have seen media speculate on that, but haven’t seen it confirmed yet by the Steelers.

Duke can use it as motivation this week! I suspect he may be activated.

Brian Griese was saying that Josh had garbage to throw to, like Duke during the WC game last year and Kelvin Benjamin the year before. he probably didn’t realize Duke was still on the team.

Milano is great. But he doesn’t strike me as the type of LB you pay big money to, as opposed to finding a guy in the draft to replace him.

Agreed. i posted this elsewhere. But if you look at the probability chart now, our odds are much higher of drawing Baltimore if we lose in week 17.

this tells me our odds are much better at avoiding Baltimore in the 1st round if we play to win week 17.

My best guess: Our ST units are playing with such swagger that I think they are intentionally kicking it high and short to try to stuff guys before the 25. I think Bass’s kicks are moon shots. Other than the first return (where there was a blatant hold), we really stuffed the Patriots on kick returns.

Before this season, I would have told you 1 pm. That’s an ideal time for football. But you can tell that this team now thrives in prime time. And I gotta say— I love the endless media coverage for these games.
