  1. so you give me no credit for my “I am no expert” preamble? That is harsh! Maybe I am wrong and the old “running around in a circle like a maniac” is a very helpful drill for cornerbacks!
  2. I am no expert, but that seems like a pointless drill too.
  3. Burkes is not all that dissimilar to AJ Brown. Both guys had a decent number of missed games and injuries their first three years— Brown, though, stayed on the field a bit more. i am guessing someone takes a flyer on Burkes. Maybe he can get healthy and turn things around.
  4. I love Alec Anderson. While I love how our team is genuinely super solid guys, it is nice to have a hot head/mean guy like Anderson.
  5. Still waiting for a Shand update?
  6. The year of the wrist has been replaced by the year of the hamstring.
  7. True. I think all NFL stadiums pretty much have very low or negative return on investment. But I think Indy and Minnesota are the models on how you make the roof stadiums at least a better ROI. I said this from Day 1, but my hope was that the Bills would have built a more modest and cost-effective indoor stadium, patterned after Lucas Oil. Oh, well. The ship has sailed.
  8. to me, met life was the effective end of the open door stadium. It’s one of the worst stadiums and biggest mistakes. I guess you might have outliers like Levi, but my understanding is that there was some issues with FAA regs in building a higher stadium. Also, now they are doing billions in renovations!
  9. it’s actually the way of the past too. No NFL team has been building open air stadiums for the last 15 years. Just a total waste of money and sub par fan and player experience. Terrible investment by Buffalo.
  10. this would be a first. I’d like to see what that actually looked like.
  11. I loved Hulk Hogan. But I have to think decades of steroid use had to pose a lot of health risks. I think I saw he may have died from a heart attack, which is often linked to steroid use.
  12. honestly, if the NFL had a “no nepotism” rule, then they probably wouldn’t need a Rooney Rule. Hackett basically has a job because his dad was Paul Hackett. guys like steve belichick, Bobby April Jr., Kyle Shannan, Sean mcvay— all got into the NFL because of their dads. Some of them have proven they belong— but it sure helps when dad makes a few calls to get you onto an NFL coaching staff when you are 22 years old.
  13. You have been lying in wait like a lion ready to pounce and use that one!
  14. Looks like the packers think he can help their defense as a coach. I do know as an offensive coordinator, he was really good at helping the opposing teams’ defenses. So I think they are onto something! https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45813182/nathaniel-hackett-rejoins-packers-help-defense
  15. I suspect I am going to be clamoring for Shand and Solomon to be our starting DEs this year, and to no avail!
  16. I am actually rooting for Elam. I actually think this wasn’t the right situation for him, and I am not sure the coaches here properly developed him like they should have.
  17. same teacher! Isn’t it something that we both remember that same saying? Probably thousands of us out there who have that ingrained in their brains!
  18. interestingly enough, when I met Malcolm Jamal Warner, he was with the actress who played Urkel’s girlfriend on Family Matters. They were dating at the time. I can’t recall her name, but she passed away from cancer at a very young age.
  19. Ha! Maybe it was the same. Rochester? I actually don’t even remember the teacher’s name.
  20. Really sad. This guy was my childhood hero! I remember writing him fan mail as a 4th grader. I actually met him once when I was 16, and he took a photo with me. Was very gracious.
