Bengals are going to be decent this year. That is like a 6-win team easy, assuming they stay relatively healthy. The ravens are a super bowl team, which is why I think the browns-ravens game wasn’t a great indicator. I think the browns look like they will be in the hunt for a playoff spot this year— maybe like a 9-win team. They have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.

Browns really looking good. They are going to be good this year. Last week’s game against the ravens was not a good indicator.

Not being funny (though you may laugh), but the other guy with nice trajectory is Matt Barkley. He makes up in arm strength with nice touch and loft on his deeper throws.

Pulled over 4 times and got 2 speeding tickets (both on my way to church, go figure). but you want to hear the dumbest ticket I got? Was in a small town and Parked on a street meter. Was ticketed for “parking more than 12 inches from the curb.” It wasn’t my best parallel parking job, but it was probably like 15 inches and nowhere near being into the road.

It’s weird, but he looks terrible. Lot of drops and just missed chances on decent throws. Don’t know what happened to him.

Wonder how the votes would be if we had lost yesterday! I think the lack of a preseason kills rebuilding teams— the veteran contenders benefit from it. It’s pretty unfair.

I don’t think you can compare woods with Beasley, since woods is more of an outside receiver now. Comparing woods to John Brown, I’d be happy with either guy.

I agree with this. This will be a tight one. Going to need to take care of the ball and win the TO battle (and make some kicks!).

Screen game was the best today I have seen out of a bills team in like 20 years. Seriously. This team historically has been terrible at them, and they ran 3 or 4 great RB screens and 2-3 great WR ones today. Hope we see more of that.

good point. This is the David Carr saga. It took the Texans years to figure out he was terrible, and it wasn’t just the lack of a “fill in the blank player” away from him being good.

Mayfield is almost intentionally failing. I don’t understand how he can’t produce more with OBJ, Landry, Hunt, and Chubb.

Darnold wasn’t good, no doubt. But his receivers dropped some very catchable balls early on and then throughout the game. I think on both 3rd downs in the first two series, his receivers could have caught those balls And extended drives. Tough to develop any rhythm when your guys can’t make tough catches. I don’t understand the Jets at all— how they are building their offense, especially. It’s not really well-thought out.

I have to say that I liked what I saw from Gabe Davis. Strong hands— made two catches right off the bat. I think he has a whiff on a block, and didn’t see much from him after that. Hopefully he gets more opportunities.
