  1. I need to save that. I pulled it out in the GDT to get josh Allen back in the game.
  2. it hasn’t made an impact in the sense he has Not yet lost us a game, or been in a pressure situation. His missed XP yesterday was important obviously, because it made it a 1-score game. look— it’s not like I don’t want Bass to work out. I do. It would be awesome if he panned out right away. But it was a risk to draft and go with a rookie kicker this year. Teams like the pats realize that. They drafted a kid, saw he was a little shaky in camp, and immediately went out and got a vet and stashed their rookie on the PS. I am not saying we are there yet— but we may be close.
  3. no— but it is a risk. It’s a much higher risk because we are contending this year. If this were a rebuilding type year, I would say— absolutely, go for it. But if I were the GM of this team, I would be looking for a veteran I can trust. Maybe not a guy who can make 55-yard bombs. But someone who is reliable under pressure from under 50 and has experience making pressure kicks. you have to admit that Bass is not inspiring confidence thus far. I don’t know if McDermott would feel comfortable sending him out now for a long FG attempt, let alone a GW FG attempt.
  4. exactly where I am at. The league needs to just shut down the titans until they are ti zero. They can’t be affecting other teams with what appears to be carelessness in their parts.
  5. on that goal line series Where he gave up the TD to Witten, he should have never been in the game. Given that there were only 19 seconds left and raiders had no TO’s, they had to pass. Don’t understand why the bills werent in a nickel or even a dime there.
  6. he’s missed 2 FGs of under 40 yards and now an XP. the reality is few rookie kickers work out right away. Most of them bounce around for a few years, and then flame out or figure it out. For a team that is going to be contending, I see no great reason for us to roll the dice on a rookie kicker. At a minimum, he needs to be on a short leash.
  7. not saying it was a matter of arm strength. He waited too long to make that throw. Didn’t lead him enough. Obviously nit picking here—but to Virgil’s point, that ball should have been a TD. Diggs beat his guy by like yards.
  8. agree completely on Allen. He had a good game, but had some accuracy issues. That deep ball to Diggs should have been a walk-in TD. He underthrew him by a lot.
  9. I am with you. I was against cutting Haush money for this very reason— rookie kickers are too much of a risk. So what if Bass can make a 58-yarder if he is all over the place on XPs? And Bojo does nothing for the punting game, and manages to be a terrible holder too. Bass May be great in 2 years, but we need someone who is solid and reliable now.
  10. I thought Allen did some different things this game. A lot more dump-offs and check downs. I actually thought that showed some real growth (and I am sure he is regretting not taking the easy check down when he got sacked late to knock us out of FG range). he showed moments of brilliant accuracy (JB near TD, Davis and Beasley TDs), but also had some errant throws (the deep Diggs catch should have been a wide open walk into the end zone but was underthrown and became a contested catch).
  11. This defense is a mess— it seems like it’s at every level. The secondary has been a real disappointment— I thought Tre and Poyer played really poorly today. Norman looked meh in coverage too. The LBs tend to have bad streaks against the run and haven’t covered as well. The front 4 not really generating much pressure— though I thought they were better against the run today.
  12. I don’t want to take anything away from josh Norman because he made the play of the game. It turned the entire game. But the jury is still out on him. in this game and not really looking for him, I saw that he (1) got burned on that long aghalor TD that game back due to the penalty; and (2) blew an assignment that left the FB wide open on the sideline for a 17-yard gain. So I’m not entirely confident in his ability as a cover corner.
  13. this was a worse call. He wasn’t down by contact or forward momentum stopped. Watching it real time— he wasn’t even close to going down and then laterals it back. What an awful call.
  14. I hope it doesn’t affect his ability to throw his 20-yard left handed lateral.
  15. That was actually decent coverage. Had his hand right there. The guy that drops everything makes a great catch.
  16. Poyer PI was weak. But I think it was caused by so much air that carr put under that.
  17. D played with a ton of aggression there!! that one Norman play could have changed this entire D mindset!
  18. I still have my doubts. He’s been burned twice this game (one on the called back TD, and one on blown coverage to the FB). My hope is with help, he can be a serviceable no. 2 CB. But hats off— he made the play of the game.
  19. All it took was 1 guy on D literally making 1 play this game!
  20. Could have returned that one too if the bills D hadn’t been so shocked!
