  1. Good article here. This beat writer thinks the Ravens are not going to blitz much— just rush 4 and simulate some pressure. https://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/bs-sp-ravens-film-study-bills-20210112-vztpyvxxrfay7jjjbldlfyerdu-story.html
  2. I agree. Football analysis is all recency bias. Less than a week ago, all we heard was how the Bills were going to easily beat the Colts based on how they smoked the Dolphins. It was a tight game instead and the Bills D didn’t look as good as it has recently. Now the narrative is the Bills are going to lose and their defense is terrible. After one game!
  3. agree completely. It was so dumb. They were “trying to get Henry going” with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I was shocked they just didn’t go shotgun and start throwing earlier. They have that really good 3rd down back too, who they could run draws with.
  4. If you guys are talking about the 4th and 1 at the end of the game, you’re too hard on the Bills. Taylor is a beast. You’re not stopping him on 4th and 1. The guy breaks tackles for a living.
  5. I think the critical guys this game will be Davis or Brown or McKenzie. Ravens have 3 solid corners— but I think the 4 and 5 receivers will get some opportunities.
  6. wow. very interesting. Williams actually looked bigger to me than Lynch.
  7. I agree. The sample size isn’t enough. For everyone— “pro” or “anti” Yeldon— no one knows for sure what he can bring to the table if given extended playing time.
  8. Not sure you all have seen today’s Christian Wade interview of Tre. To me, the craziest thing about the interview was the clip of Josh Norman literally jumping over a bull. It’s nuts; about 1:20 in: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/coffee-with-the-bills-christian-wade-and-tre-davious-white
  9. what’s that saying? “There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.” Yeldon seems pretty good at running through big holes or running in space. He seems to be really bad at running through contact, and it seems like a stiff breeze will knock him down. I would be curious to see his “yards after contact” stats, but not sure he has had enough carries for anyone to keep those.
  10. That goes for our guys too though. Has Josh ever even played in a snow game in Buffalo before?
  11. i hear you, but Hindsight is 20/20. we have also all seen him bust off 40-yard kick returns in situations like that. Can’t play or coach scared with a weapon like Roberts.
  12. did they get him an Antoine Winfield youth-sized jersey? Edit: whoops, that’s Singletary!! 😀
  13. i agree with almost all of this. But I will disagree with “he tried to do too much.” Roberts is a guy that you always give the green light to. Don’t care if he is 9 yards deep— if he wants to take it out, you let him.
  14. Where are you all seeing bad weather? It’s looking like mid 30’s and pretty clear right now, I think.
  15. agreed. Titans played him well, and they basically made one mistake, and he was gone for a 50-yard TD run.
  16. From what I have read, they are unpredictable with their blitzes--including numbers and who blitzes. So, it's tough to say how often they will bring the house.
  17. I don’t think they are built to sit back and play zone and rush 4. We will pick them apart. They will do what they do best. Play physical and blitz a ton.
  18. Has anyone seen any good articles on the specifics of the ravens’ coverages? I haven’t seen anything, other than general Stuff (they play a lot of man and do a lot of exotic blitzes).
  19. Related point, how pointless is it to fly from Cleveland to Pittsburgh? It’s a 2-hour drive!
  20. I have never seen Cleveland look so balanced as Sunday. For whatever reason, Stefanski gets away from the run game way too much for the talent they have there. I thought AVP called a terrific, balanced game. That said, it’s easier to call a great game when you get three quick turnovers and have a lead.
  21. Agree. I saw it twice on that same play on the same drive, including on the TD to Pascal. Even when Taron was going in motion pre-snap to follow a receiver, he was having a hard time going around the LB’s. On the “almost TD” to Pittman, same thing happened to Poyer. I wonder if the LB’s were playing up further to stop the run, and it threw off the spacing on those crossers?
  22. I actually really liked the refs during the last game. Yeah, they let everything go— but it made the game so much more enjoyable.
  23. I have said this since the KC game— our defense can basically focus on and stop one thing. They aren’t good enough to stop balanced attacks. And when the Bills get a lead, it’s great— because they just focus on playing the pass. The good news is that there aren’t a ton of balanced offenses left— KC, GB, and maybe NO? Everyone else is pretty run or pass heavy.
