I agree. Such a better game to watch. So much of the holding that goes on and is called is irrelevant to the play. Glad to see the refs just let them play (as much as I complain during the game).

agreed. These guys call a lot of penalties. They will protect the QBs.

That’s a good point— one that I didn’t even consider. it’s just funny because you look at Dobbins early games this year and it’s like 1 carry for 30 yards; 2 carries for 50 yards. And It’s like, “what could this guy do with a full load?”

I actually don’t think he is right. More execution than anything. Tough to start a game with fumble/TD, pick, and pick. Yeah, the D let up a few TD’a on a short field. But that is just players poorly executing. And it’s not like the Browns did nothing— the one DB made a 1-handed pick, as I recall. Browns made some plays.

“salary cap”? It’s more like Edwards and Dobbins are better. it just amazes me that they took so long getting Dobbins touches this year.

I picked Taron Johnson last week, and he probably had one of his worst games of the year (outside his goal line tackle). So I am going to abstain this week.

i am kind of done stressing about the weather. Hopefully at least one direction is better than the other, and we can make due. I also think we will still be able to have our intermediate routes in windy conditions. Just not going to be able to throw 40-yard passes.

it’s not so much charity. I always found the great head coaches act like CEO’s, not glorified coordinators. I have always found that Reid is basically a coordinator. He hands his defense over to a coordinator to basically handle. So the defense is always up and down. His game day management has always been poor. I think he’s a great offensive mind. Just wonder why he doesn’t want to let go and try to be a more complete head coach.

i heard Bieniemy was a pretty lousy interview last year. Reid’s not really doing EB (or any of his OC’s) any favors by calling plays. He’s been a head coach forever— he seriously can’t figure out how to delegate play-calling? Reminds me of those business owners and CEO’s that are too hands on. There’s a skill in managing and delegating, while maintaining control.

its really amazing to watch this again. Maybe it is just the snow in this game, but both offenses just has their way and both defenses generated no pressure. It was either TD’s or turnovers— up and down the field. Kelly and Marino just standing back there untouched, firing darts.

i mostly agree with you— though I noticed since the Broncos game, he has actually developed a great loft on his deep ball now. But let’s hope he sticks with those lasers tomorrow.

ha--same. I thought I was getting the flu during the game--shaky, hot, weak. It is so nerve-wracking. I told my wife on 4th and 10 during the Colts game that I refuse to watch-- but then came slinking back to watch Rivers's ridiculous throw over Hughes's fingertip. I watched the rest of the game on my hands and knees.

If past is prologue, I will spend much of the day making periodic visits to the bathroom. Then, from 8:15-11:30, I will intersperse pacing around the room with lying prostrate on the floor.
