  1. I can see the Texans hiring EB just to try to salvage this. I doubt Watson would demand a trade if they hired him.
  2. agree with this completely. Even the “new and improved Ben,” can be very “mercurial,” for lack of a better term. Sort of an odd guy to get along with, I think. I am sure you know this well— but he would do weird things, like say strange things to the media about his receivers, or contradict the coaches on the status of his injuries.
  3. Praying for the Eagles. That seems to make the most sense. Texans would be absolute idiots to trade him within the conference.
  4. feel the exact same way. It will be interesting to see how the game goes and what team I will emotionally be drawn to.
  5. This makes sense. As I recall, the Bills a long time ago (may have been Wade) in a game ended up basically picking the direction, forfeiting receiving the ball in both and the first and second halves. I think it caused some confusion for the fans and the announcers.
  6. I wanted to point out two unheralded but tremendous plays: 1) Levi Wallace sack. Ravens were really marching on that first drive. That sack was huge. And it was really hard. Wallace didn’t bite on the fake and made a really difficult but sure-handed tackle. 2) Dion Dawkins fumble recovery. Similar to the Williams recovery last week, if the Ravens recover there, I believe they are on our side of the field, and are set up really well to move ahead and change the momentum of the game.
  7. interesting to hear steve smith’s views. He basically said a big problem is the types of routes that Roman has the WR’s run— called it simple elementary school stuff, which DB’s easily can defend.
  8. huh? So he though the ravens (who run 90% of the time) were more disadvantaged than the Bills?
  9. Fair enough. I won’t be a Debbie downer anymore! 😀
  10. I posted this same thing yesterday, and was thinking about it when Tre basically outran him to block him out of the play. Was he still not running full speed on that return?
  11. My buddy is a Steelers fan and said to hold off on the whole Bromance thing. He saw the same thing over the years with Ben R and AB (and other WR’s, like Santonio and E. Sanders). Those guys would hang out together and have their 3-year sons run routes, etc. of course, we all know how it ended. His point was that WR’s are a strange bunch, and all that bromance stuff quickly goes out the window when the WR isn’t getting the ball. Not saying that will be an issue with Diggs And JA— but I think that is a fair point.
  12. I am confused as to how the coin toss works. If you win the toss and you defer, do you lose the option of picking direction?
  13. i guess I should clarify. He has the length and speed to do it, when asked to do it. I don’t think at any point in time he was asked last night to rush hard to go after Lamar, and lose that edge. I will also say that the Bills entire D-line was exceptional at containing Lamar and not losing contain. They didn’t make a single mistake.
  14. i sort of think of keeping contain as a different thing than stopping the run. He basically had to set the edge— make sure no one (esp Lamar) got to the edge.
  15. Murphy played well yesterday. But that’s also because his main task played to his strengths— he had to keep contain and set the edge. He did a very nice job.
  16. he had a heck of a game— including 2 sacks too. by the way, how did brown get so wide open on that play? That couldn’t have been by design.
  17. This has to be the one of the most valuable learning experiences for Josh. Jim Kelly didn’t become a master over those swirling winds after his first such game, I am sure.
  18. I am with you. The bills may struggle with a balanced attack of the browns, similar to the colts.
  19. you can all thank me for reversing my jinx on Taron.
  20. haha— but doesn’t Chong li put that big guy in the hospital?
  21. I agree. I think Cleveland is going to win. And I would prefer to play every game in balmy Arizona with Josh dropping dimes.
  22. New Josh Allen jersey, which is 2-0 now (both playoff wins).
  23. Re the Taron pick six, coincidentally Lamar said this yesterday: Since entering the league, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has consistently made defenses look inadequate while effortlessly gliding past them en route to a touchdown or first down. But did you know Jackon's never reached his top speed? "I'm really not running - I haven't ran full speed yet I don't think," Jackson said in a recent interview with NBC Sports' Jac Collinsworth. https://sports.yahoo.com/amazingly-lamar-jackson-says-hes-224658001.html
