  1. I was confused at first who you were talking about. Then I remembered— that guy who is now dead to me.
  2. I am going out on a limb here, but I suspect the team has a deal with Reid, or will try to make a deal with him. Probably paid him some money and had him sign some sort of release. Otherwise, the team would be blowing the goodwill and brand loyalty generated by Reid, and inviting a fight. also, while this move stinks, you can also sort of see the bills’ POV. Anyone that uses the Bills’ marks has the potential of doing bad things with them, diluting then, causing confusion, etc. So the team probably want control.
  3. I can’t recall what he said in Pittsburgh, but this is what he said in NY: "I've been playing in this league for a long time. I've always been kinda used to like, getting the ball 20, 25, 30 times," said Bell, who led the NFL with 321 rushing attempts during his final season in Pittsburgh. "Because that's what my body can handle and that's the type of player I've always been. Even in college, at Michigan State, I was getting the ball that much. "I go to the NFL, it's been the same thing. Isn't it funny this year, because it hasn't happened. I understand (the) offense is starting got come together, and guys are starting to learn, we got a new system, and new players up front and we got new coaches and things like that. But I think, for me, I would love to put the game on my back and take games over. I haven't had one of those games this year yet. But a lot of people don't think I'm the same player or I can't do that. That's because I haven't had the opportunity to really show. As time goes on, we'll get better, we'll find a way to make things shake."
  4. agreed. I also don’t think he’s a guy that wants to win necessarily. I could be wrong. But he did sit out in Pittsburgh when that team was poised to win Super Bowls. I think he just wants a lot of touches and I have no idea how he will get them in KC. They can’t even feed the guys they currently have over there. Poor Sammy only runs decoy routes still.
  5. Weird decision, especially if the dolphins were offering that big money. He can ride the pine and get his ring and be remembered with the likes of backup super bowl champions like Rob Johnson.
  6. I don’t think he should be interested in winning. He should be interested in lots of playing time and touches. I think he will get that in a Miami or Buffalo; not so much in KC.
  7. If I take a quick break for dinner, can someone else here man the F5 key?
  8. I am actually getting my hopes up. He will be an absolute beast for us. But right when he signs with Miami, I am going to basically say, “phew— we dodged a close one. He’s washed up.”
  9. Bad news, guys: Temporarily Closed We will reopen as soon as we get the go-ahead from the government. Until then, please be safe and we look forward to seeing you soon! Thank you.
  10. Has pat Moran weighed in yet? Or is he still trailing Shawn Merriman at the Canadian border?
  11. I am very proud of you. You’ve come a long way! Your use of the Carlton banks dance meme is also very appropriate.
  12. I still remember basically having tears in my eyes As a 13-year old kid, falling asleep that night after that game. That was a brutal loss. Kelly was beaten to a pulp.
  13. I still don’t get the chiefs. He won’t get the ball much. I think he is primarily interested in getting touches, not a ring.
  14. Why be a backup there? He’ll get like 5 touches per game.
  15. glad you started a thread about this. He was not recognizable out there. I was actually expecting him to be a beefier 3-4 DE, like a Cam Heyward. I am wondering if they are thinking of shifting him to a hybrid LB at this point.
  16. both of these teams make sense— a lot more sense than the chiefs. He will get a ton of touches in either Buffalo or LA.
  17. to have a shot, the O will need to be near perfect, and the D will need some lucky bounces.
  18. to be honest, I really liked feely last night. He brings a totally different perspective as a former kicker. Loved how he was quick to point out Bojo turning the laces the wrong way. And even his commentary about the Bills not setting the edge was spot on.
  19. I actually don’t think the Pats will copy this scheme. I think they play a lot of man, and Allen historically actually plays much better against zone than man.
  20. agreed— a lot of bad “complementary” football going on tonight. All three phases hurt each other. that said, their punter is ridiculous.
  21. they dominated us on ST. Even their holder was better than ours, catching snaps on the bounce. Bojo is out there turning the laces the wrong way, Roberts fumbling the ball away, coverage team giving up long returns, etc.
  22. Tannehill is okay, in my book. He was horrendous in Miami, and was able to resurrect his career from the trash heap. I don’t view him as a threat. If the D had been a little healthier, he’s not going to be scoring 4 TDs.
