Anyone find it interesting that Romo during the game tried to downplay his dinner with Fitz and Josh last year? I wasn’t sure if Romo was basically saying it was really much ado about nothing, or if he was trying to downplay it to maintain his objectivity as an announcer (not play favorites)? -
There are some easy re-signings of some depth guys on here at low-cost deals (Marlowe, McKenzie, Nsheki). I also can see the Bills locking up Levi— who really came on— to a modest-size deal. Other than that, I think they let everyone else walk, including Milano. With the lower salary cap this year, I think we will see the market flooded with more guys willing to do 1-year prove it deals. So there could be some cheap FA stop-gap signings we could make.

In the playoffs though, I think Baltimore brings the best defense to stop you guys. And Lamar has that big play ability. I actually also thought the browns matched up really well with you guys. they just sort of blew it with some bad execution errors.

not necessarily. Steelers could never really beat the pats. They got their Super Bowls because other teams knocked the pats off in the playoffs. That said, I get your point about wanting to improve to beat the chiefs— but we still can be successful and even win some Super Bowls if we can’t solve them. At the rate that Mahomes and his cast is playing, no team in the league will beat them. They are going to steamroll the Bucs.

i was day dreaming about that this morning. What a total punk.

I blame the browns. if they had lost to the Steelers, then I think the ravens beat KC. They match up much better with them. Or the browns could have beat Henne when they had the chance. Either way, the browns are to blame.

I don’t get why josh didn’t take a page from that playbook. We needed to basically make 5-yard throws. He refused to do so for most of the game. That’s all Mahomes did. -
32 rush yards from our running backs

I am not sure if he is genuinely a good guy or not. But an arrest, suspended for punching Shaq, sleeping during team Meetings, supposedly Quitting on his team (promoting Coughlin to issue a statement). Maybe he is misunderstood—but those aren’t great indicators of the types of high character players the Bills like. Beyond that, on the field, he seems pretty meh. For a guy that was to highly touted out of college, he seems like just an okay back. -

Fournette is not a process guy. The guy is a punk. -
McDermott says “they’ve got a lot of speed”
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know who had great speed? TJ Graham, Marquise Goodwin, and Aaron Maybin. the chiefs’ receivers are fast, but they can do a lot of other things well too. Hill is pretty much a complete receiver. -
Decision on Kelce Coverage
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Old Coot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i watched one of Kollman’s videos this week where he said you absolutely have to jam Kelce at the line. If you give him a free release, he will kill you. in fact, he pointed to the Saints/chiefs game where the DE’s jammed Kelce. It worked. It basically slows him up enough to get Mahomes to look off of him a little quicker and go elsewhere with the ball. I was surprised that we gave Kelce a free release the entire game.- 42 replies

By the way, what was the deal with the super long sacks today by Josh. I think some of it had to do with the chiefs sort of collapsing him and not letting him get to the outside. But those were bizarre and total drive killers. -

The FG’s were bad in hindsight. But let me defend McD. McD is watching this offense tonight that had to work for every single yard. They were totally shut down. I think he was thinking he had to get the points he could get, hope (pray?) that the D got a stop or a TO down the stretch, and extend the game to stay within striking distance. -

I was really surprised at how dirty the chiefs were. This isn’t sour grapes too. Have never seen the Bills get into skirmishes of any kind under McD. But I guess getting punched and hit and body slammed will get to you. I have always held to the theory that Andy Reid is a brilliant offensive coordinator but an overall meh head coach. If he ever went on a losing streak with the characters on that team, he would lose that locker room in about 10 minutes. I will be interested to see how the dirt bags in KC matchup with their comparable counterparts on TB (Suh, Etc.)— they deserve each other.- 407 replies
