Postgame Thread Bills vs. Seahawks
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would really love to hear an explanation of what happened on that David Moore TD. The announcers spent zero time on it. what happened on the play was a total bull rush off Wilson. He scrambled all around, and then escaped to his right. On the run, he threw that heave to the endzone for a TD. there was a receiver on the same side of the field around the 20-yard line, and I think When Wilson scrambled right, white peeled off Moore to run up to double that receiver. if I had to guess, he was reading Wilson’s eyes. But I am Not sure whether there was supposed to be help over the top. Taron Johnson ran back in a futile attempt to get to Moore, and so I am not sure if he was supposed to pick Moore up or what. it was sort of a critical play, and I was worried about it sparking a late comeback. Just curious what happened. -

I just watched the David Moore long TD where he was wide open. It looked like Tre gambled by coming up to cover the up guy, and letting Moore run by him. Not sure I loved all the “gambling” Tre was doing out there today, but it did pay off on the one interception. -
How about Bass? He's settling in...

haha— Same. I have always hoped he would succeed, but was worried that a rookie kicker was too risky. I think the jets game really helped his confidence and game. -
Game Balls! Bills 44, Seattle 34

Poyer deserves one. That hit he put on Dallas early set the tone, and his pick very early in the game was absolutely pivotal. -
Diggs' trade is aging like a fine wine
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Diggs raises the level of play by the receivers. It seems like when he his catching balls, the other guys are too. -
I think it was freeing to play the seahawks. He knew Wilson was going to go nuts regardless, so why not just bring a ton of pressure and go for it. It resulted in big plays given up, but big plays from the D (which we haven’t had any of which this year). It has to be the way this defense plays this year, because they aren’t good enough to play bend/don’t break.

the one thing I am glad about Roberts is the team gives him the green light at all times, and he isn’t a afraid to take it. He needs to bring the ball out of the endzone literally every time. It’s worth the risk every time. -
Challenge Specialist for McDermott

I believe the Davis TD was too risky to challenge. We couldn’t lose the TO, and odds were really good we could punch it in. Hindsight is 20-20. -

would really love to still have quinton Spain on this roster— I bet Beane is kicking himself for cutting him now. -

I really have no idea what Knox is doing out there at this point. -
instead of going to the Arizona/Buffalo week 10 regular season game, I think I will invest that money and retire 10 years early.

Any word on the injuries today? Those sacks started coming when all our olinemen went down. I assume Tre is okay? -

I get your bigger point. But the anxiety is we are 7-2 and they are 5-3, and we still have to run the gauntlet. We have little room for error. -
I think josh is getting there, but I believe he is more of a “runner” still— both in terms of design runs and when he takes off, usually he is “running” and still taking some hits. but I agree— I have noticed him doing some more things to avoid hits and to pick his spots more.

Best single play in Bills history
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that is mine. The single most defining moment in getting the Bills to a perennial super bowl team. you mean, the first play of every Bills game for 4 years? -
Week 9: Seahawks at Bills

seems like a great fantasy sleeper play for this week. -
agree. Wilson isn’t a scrambler. He is a “scamperer.” He scampers when he need to, usually to pick up an easy first down. Mahomes and Murray are similar. Just really smart in terms of picking his spots, getting what he needs, and getting out of bounds. Never really takes a hit.

Week 9: Seahawks at Bills

It's really tough to say. The Seahawks receivers are good. But Russell Wilson seems to make guys look a lot better with his ridiculous accuracy, esp deep-ball accuracy. -
not enough people splurge and get chip dip. It really elevates the entire chip-eating experience.
