    That is a great take. There is no way that should have been an after the play penalty. He is blocking basically while the play is going on. The officiating yesterday was just really awful.

    Someone else raised this yesterday in a thread, and it seems like a brilliant idea. I don't know the rules, but this makes a lot of sense-- the refs can't enforce off-setting penalties if one is declined, I would think.

    In my view, Roberts should get the green light every time he wants it— whether it is from the 5 or 9 yards deep in the end zone. The benefits outweigh the costs.

    exactly. It’s idiotic. It will slow him up for what— a millisecond?— and then your DBs are running to catch up. I like Dungy, but that sounded like a garbage take. There’s no chance that the Bills would have prevented Hopkins from getting to the endzone.

    i saw that segment and thought it was dumb. Dungy gets the benefit of hindsight, but what team is running bump and run on a Hail Mary? The conventional wisdom is to drop everyone back to the endzone, which is what the Bills did. They then promptly covered the receivers. They just have to knock the ball down.

    As I recall, the pass could have been a little better— it was too far out in front of him.

    what was humorous was the refs raced in there and in one millisecond called it a TD. It was like they were dying to call that a TD. Usually on a play like that, they might huddle or look to make sure the ball didn’t hit the ground or the other ref saw it the same way.

    Re trying to intercept the ball, I think he is right. I know there is a debate over whether the players Could Have knocked the ball away or Not, but you wonder if they could have raked across Hop’s arms. Even tipping the ball would have helped.

    Lot of trash talk between Hop and White going back a few years. I knew he was going to rub it in his face. Too Bad, because we kept Hop in check them entire game.

    He looked really off to Me Before the game he sat out. Since then, I feel Like he really has upped his game. So i Attribute his Earlier poor Play to being banged up. I thought he played well Today. Not going to fault him on that drop in the bucket Hail Mary.

    Maybe I am getting older, but I am over this already. This sort of loss in the past would have made me physically ill and then depressed for like 2 weeks.

    Dolphins play the raiders, chiefs, pats, and Bills, and then mostly nobodies. they could easily finish this season 12-4 or 11-5– Which is scary considering this is clearly year 2 of a 3 to 4-year rebuild.
