When I watch the Bills games, I am all nerves and superstition. I basically have to watch them alone, with possibly a meager glass of water by my side. I have agreements with friends that they can’t text or call me during games because they did that once before and the Bills lost. Plus, I need 100% focus. This year, I am going to try to turn over a new leaf. Since the team is pretty good now, I think I can relax a little. So I’m going to have a watching party for the opener and live a little. Just hope this doesn’t cause some major jinx to occur. 😬

Calling it now: Devin will be a 1000 yard back this year
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed, and I have been drafting DS too in my leagues. Sort of surprised that Miss is ranked ahead of him because I think we will see Moss as the second option and maybe around the goal line. To those on here who think having a 1,000 rusher in this pass-first offense is implausible, it’s not. Aaron Jones had over 1000 yards last year. CEH easily would have also had over 1000 had he not been injured (had 800 in 13 games). -
9/11 - where were you on the day that changed history?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to RobbRiddick's topic in Off the Wall
Was in grad school and saw a people on their cell phones (the few who had them) in a panic trying to call loved ones in NYC. The prof was an old guy and clueless and was angrily trying to get everyone to their seats. I think we had class— but i still remember the one classmate on his phone in a panic, who said his brother was in NYC. -
Bills cuts to get to 53 [final info in the OP]

Agreed In my view, the gameplans were the main reason we lost. Just got totally outcoached. -

Brandon Beanes Presser today…informative

I think it makes some sense. Every time they sign a new TE, he hits on the owner's daughter.- 126 replies

John Brown requested a release from the Raiders
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Brown probably has a market, but probably not until after week 1 when salaries don’t become guaranteed. We don’t have room on the roster, but it would be great to have him on the roster for some injury insurance. -

I was really hoping they would find a way to stash him on IR. His injury against Chicago was probably way too minor. -

KR/PR duties— how will this turn out?
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had that same initial reaction, but if you think about it, a lot of great teams have rookies start at KR (e.g., both tyreek hill and hardeman with the chiefs come to mind). I think we used Moulds as a KR his rookie year! -

I would 100% put that game on. Guys whose wives drag them to an open house on opening Sunday will appreciate it. -

i suspect they have Norman on speed dial. He may even be a post-week 1 signing when salary is not guaranteed. -

Alphas Final Roster Stab (after PS game 3)
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I sort of wonder if Doyle might have some mysterious injury appear— I think he was dinged up against Chicago. He would be a great guy to stash on IR for a bit. -

Great job! I think we will see some surprise IR move which Will open the door to everyone’s least favorite Bill (Taiwan) making the 53. -

It is going to take a while to cut Hart. They are going to have to go through all the mistakes he made when they talk to him— going to be a long meeting. -
After seeing the preseason games, I have been really impressed with Stevenson. Not only on the quality of his returns, but he seems to be very sure-handed and hasn’t displayed anything that might suggest poor judgment. I am thinking we could see him as the primary KR out there. I am less sure about PR, since it seems McKenzie might have the inside track on that spot (even though he has his “bad moments.”). But Stevenson has looked good too there. Then, there’s the issue of the limits on who you activate on gameday and whether that cuts in McKenzie’s favor of getting both the KR and PR duties because we can use him on offense too. Anyone have any predictions on how this all will shake out?

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 3
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, a clear swing and miss. That said, for every miss, Beane seems to get many more hits. For example, I was randomly reading a draft recap of the 2018 draft. Beane was accused of overreaching on Dawkins (who projected to maybe being able to compete with Jordan Mills at RT), and reaching on Milano (who was viewed as maybe ST contributor). Reading stuff like that makes me feel better about some of the misses!
