i had a buddy in college that raved constantly about this movie, and he made us all see it. It was so ridiculously bad, and we continue to ridicule him to this day almost 25 years later.

Training Camp practice and Media Sessions 8/5
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree completely. Roberts is a guy you always give a green light too on KO returns. And re McKenzie, the major concern is his ball security and judgment in the return game. He has made a lot of bad decisions and made a lot of mistakes in the past with the Broncos and Bills on pretty limited opportunities on punts and kicks. I don’t think you can teach the instincts you need there, so color Me very worried. -
Devo is a total class act. Wow.

I have always only caught bits and pieces of TBT games. This was the first one I saw from beginning to end. It was just a blood bath. Guys just getting decked— no fouls. Lots of turnovers and just hacking going on. That said, it was fun to see some of those old guys back out there. Sounds like both Devo and Lydon are hanging it up for good. Nice to see them go out as champs.

I guess congrats to Boeheim’s Army— but that was the ugliest basketball game I probably have ever seen. That should have played at LA Fitness.

yeah, if he misses a lot more time. But don’t love the sound of a “back injury” for a TE that is already new to the team. -

i feel like Hollister is heading to be an injury settlement cut in camp. -
Who is this Reese?! I have no Memory of him at BC. Dude has Been balling out.

No, thanks. The people in Austin are arrogant, and everything is just an event or party there. They’d be showing up to games just to have tailgate brunches, drinking mimosas and eating breakfast tacos, and not really caring whether the team wins or loses. they just got a MLS team, and they already think that makes them extra cooler as a city.

Anything you look back on fondly that hasn’t aged well?

did you used to watch those Warren Miller 80s ski movies? My Buddy and I would watch them on repeat. -

haha— this is a great one. I bought a disc man for my sweet 1988 Chevy Celebrity, which did not have a tape player/adapter. So I had to get this radio transmitter adapter to use with the disc man, where it would pick up on a super low FM channel. Between the disc man and the radio adapter, I could barely move in that car for fear of skipping or losing the signal. -
did someone say Ertz?

Jordan Poyer says golf saved his life
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, his athleticism probably helps a lot. But even the greatest athletes struggle with golf, given how counter intuitive and highly mechanical it is. I think Poyer probably has an elite “sports IQ” more than anything. I had the good fortune of playing golf with a lot of NFL Players at charity events over the years. I think the athleticism only gets you so far. Some of these guys play many times per week (the retired ones), and they are 20 handicappers, at best, and hitting your bad slices and worm burners, etc. -

9.5 handicap after playing only for a year, and with no lessons? That’s seriously nuts. -
Giants cut Kelvin Benjamin for what??
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i really don’t understand how the Giants could have been clearer: lose 14 pounds. That’s it. -
I seriously can’t believe 3 on 3 Bball is now an Olympic sport. I just looked up the list of the sports, and there are some really absurd ones on there. Artistic swimming? 3 kinds of BMX biking? 2 kinds of kayaking? I saw some skateboarding the other day, and everyone looked terrible. I think the winner was a 13-year old girl who fell down a bunch. https://olympics.com/en/sports/

I am with you. I think the last Summer Olympics I watched was like 2000. That said, my sister just visited and is a hard core fan, and so got us into watching. So we have caught a little this year.

Bills interested in CB Steven Nelson
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only plausible explanation is that they aren’t high on Nelson. I have a lot of Steelers’ fans friends, and they think he is pretty meh. But I haven’t really looked hard at his play myself. -
Agree. I guess we will see what we can get this year. I got it for free last year, so I am not going to complain too much.

Bills interested in CB Steven Nelson
Miyagi-Do Karate replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i haven’t studied Nelson, But historically, steeler CB’s have been very scheme limited. Their CB’s were really good at zone and mediocre to awful at man. That’s why Russ Cockrell was able to stick and play pretty well for them. Not sure if Nelson fits that mold or not.
