    after just three drives, it’s clear to me they aren’t going to be calling anything tonight. We better take advantage of that too.

    hmmm. Kind of wished they hung onto Kumerow until they were ready for JB to start playing in the games. Were they required to bring JB off IR when they did?

    i would agree with you for any other division game. And I have no idea what to expect tonight. But something tells me the Bills are going to be out for blood. I think the gameplan calls for a lot of running— but I feel like Dabs and co are going to say “we don’t care; we are going to throw for 400 yards.”

    Doh! You’re right! Interesting. Given no fans, it seems like possible home field in the AFC championship probably is largely worthless.

    I am curious why you say that. The Pittsburgh newspapers are making the same point, suggesting that the Steelers will rest their starters next week. i would think with re-seeding, the 2 seed guarantees not seeing the chiefs until the AFC championship. That would seem like one reason to play for the 2 seed.

    I was wondering if they would flex the Steelers/browns. If we win, then the Steelers could rest their starters, making it easier for the browns to make the playoffs.

    it is nice. Though I love how when a guy like Lamar is shown, they show his rushing stats too. But not with josh. Josh has 8 rushing TD’s, which puts him right with Mahomes and Rodgers for total TD’s.

    I don’t love how the titans have snuck back in this. GB needs a stop after halftime and get the momentum back.

    agreed. Plus, if it’s close, don’t you not call it? It’s a driving snow storm. The refs are really keeping that straight of a line in this weather?

    I agree. It’s nuts they want to give up on him. Looks like he has a lot of potential. I would double down; get a boatload of talent around him and see what he can do.

    this is interesting, but ultimately unreliable given how many week 17 games are total toss-ups. I could see titans/Texans, bills/dolphins, and Steelers/browns going either way. All division games. that said, I believe a browns win will provide a clear path to us likely playing them or the Colts in the 2-7 game.

    Bad teams finishing strong show character and it is something that is always helpful to build on. I know the fans want Lawrence— but too late for that. They should be rooting for wins and Darnold’s Improvement.

    trading places is an absolute classic. Maybe a hair higher than Coming to America for me on my list.

    for the titans to miss, we would basically need them to Lose against GB (pretty likely) and Texans (plausible— their first game when to OT). the biggest variable would then be the Bills/dolphins game. If the Bills win, the titans make it As the 7 seed (and we have to play them; if the Bills lose that week 17 game, then the Dolphins get in and Titans get knocked out.

    It would be like Rocky IV when Rocky slowly won over the Russian fans and the KGB and Poliburo officials stood and slow clapped him at the end.
