  1. Honestly, not a bad move by Lands. I don’t think he even visited Syracuse. I’d rather him made a fully informed decision and have no regrets, as opposed to pulling a last-second Bazley type move.
  2. I will see your Christian Wade, and raise you an Antonio Williams.
  3. Agreed. He has poor instincts on the catch. Even some of his best returns have been near bobbles. Sort of weird, because he otherwise has good hands as a receiver. I’d rather McKenzie be a WR and a backup returner to use in a jam. That said, I’m not super excited about a rookie like Stevenson being the main guy either.
  4. Ever since we got rid of Rusty…
  5. That’s what I am thinking too. Norman will be re-signed if they have space, or are in a jam during the season. As I recall, you can sign people after week 1 and then their salaries don’t become guaranteed. So maybe they sign him then?
  6. Some guy in this Twitter thread seemed to suggest with confidence a partially torn MCL?!
  7. When the Bills signed Cole Beasley, I thought it was Riley Cooper— just equated the two given their style of play.
  8. Translation: Zach Ertz time.
  9. 16 years. But I got it free last season and so figured there was no chance I would get it two years in a row. Never had it free before last year— but usually got it at least 50% off.
  10. I was getting ready for the dance, and all the usual back and forth. She just shocked me into total silence. In fact, when I started the call, I did my usual slow wind-up about high fees and my wife being mad, and she was like, “I’m sorry but I am confused. What do you want?” I was like, “I want to pay less for Sunday ticket.” And 10 seconds later—done.
  11. In what can only be described as a festivus miracle, I called directv, asking what they can do for me. They pulled my account and said, “looks like it is already free. Oh, and it’s max this year.” What in the?!
  12. Should we be worried about Diggs’ knee?
  13. that’s because there isn’t really any such thing as LA Rams or LA Chargers fans. do people in LA just randomly get to pick one of these teams to support?
  14. This strikes me as another attempt to start a Zach Ertz thread! 😃
  15. If Josh is mastering the check down, he will seriously be unstoppable.
  16. Totally agree. That was dying down and she threw it and slinked away.
  17. True, but good teams get a little more lucky too, it seems. How much dumb luck has befallen the Patriots over the years? It’s astounding. Also, we got some pretty good breaks ourselves last year, including a questionable PI call at the end of the Rams game to win it. But even separating out fluke plays, good teams do know how to grind it out and win close games or games when they aren’t playing their best.
  18. I like the effort! But good teams win close games.
  19. Agreed re Gray. BTW, some of those media talking heads back then calling all the players “thugs”— not a good look today.
  20. My view on taunting is it should be a 5-yard “walk-back” penalty. Don’t lose a down or the play or anything. A 15-yarder is brutal.
  21. I don’t know much about Fromm, but I wouldn’t call his pass a “desperation 4th down throw.” Under pressure, he threw a real clutch beauty of a pass that won us the game. Maybe he is just a PSer, but that was a clutch play.
  22. Agree. Really interesting to see it too from the Jermaine O’Neal angle, and how it impacted him.
  23. the third down play was also impressive in a different way. He was almost strip sacked on a jail Break and fought off the end, stepped up, and threw it away (passed Duke).
  24. didn’t get a chance to watch. How did Spencer Brown and Tommy Doyle look? I have heard some great things out of Brown in camp, yet I also hear how our ends blow by him all the time.
