  1. Duke as the third option looks a lot better than the WC game last year when he was basically the first option (or maybe 1B, if you are ranking deep threat Pat DiMarco at 1A).
  2. I will add this too. If the Bills and Steelers both lose, we just need Baltimore to win in order to avoid them.
  3. They better be all in or all out. This sort of “play it by ear approach” seems like the worst way to to approach a game. To quote myself: “Daniel-san, must talk. Walk on road. Walk right side, safe. Walk left side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later, [squish] get squish, just like grape. Here football, same thing. Either you football do, yes, or football do, no. You football do, guess so, [squish] just like grape.”
  4. odds are low— like 12% chance. if the bills and the ravens both win, then we will not play them.
  5. 58%? That seems extremely bad. What’s a normal percentage for most TE’s in today’s NFL?
  6. Don’t get me wrong— he is pretty good. When he plays against us, he is spectacular! Touchdowns, one-handed catches, the whole works! It’s nuts.
  7. talk about a bills killer— Mike Giesicki. That guy looks meh all year, and then saves his HOF-type performances against the Bills.
  8. its weird. I wonder if Beane has an inflated view of him since One of Nelson’s best games came against the panthers in 2016 (8 catches; 79 yards; 2 TD’s). the absence of pre-snap penalties is great. But the overall lack of penalties in that game isn’t too much to read into. The refs were awful— they weren’t calling anything, especially any offensive holds. Guys were getting mugged (both teams).
  9. I noticed that on the broadcast for the GB/Tenn game and was surprised at how elite he has become. Shame he is out. At this time of year, you sort of want to see all teams going at full strength.
  10. they better not be; we don’t need any visiting fans figuring out ways to get in when we only have 6700 seats.
  11. I remember at the time talking with a buddy who is best friends with one of our backup lineman back on those teams. Had nothing but negative things to say about Marrone— sounded like he has all the bad attributes of a Tom Coughlin-type, but with none of the positives I never understood what exactly Marrone brought to the table as either a head coach or even a position coach.
  12. I don’t understand how people on here think the Fitz situation changes what we do. Fitz is the backup there— odds were slim he was going to play anyway (it would have to be a close game in which Tua was ineffective— similar to the Miami/raiders game). If we are up big or Tua is doing okay, we wouldn’t have seen Fitz anyway— and even then, I think he is being brought in as an absolute last resort. i think McD is either going to play his starters or not regardless of what anyone else is doing. Unlike with the Steelers, There’s been no indication from anyone on the Bills that the backups will be playing.
  13. Get well, Fitz! Nothing but a class act. I do think this is a wake-up call for the Bills and other NFL teams re QB’s. I don’t like seeing Josh out there hugging opposing players after the game without a mask, etc. Really hope we up our own protocols, and the team considers doing a playoff bubble.
  14. Kenny Stills and Taiwan Jones on the Bills!!?? We are exorcising all the bad juju from that Texans game from last year!
  15. what do you mean “tops wings”? As in the grocery store “tops”? That can’t be what you meant.
  16. good point. I was assuming JB was coming off the list, but maybe not. What I like about stills is the position flexibility— being able to Play both in the slot and outside. Seems like a great depth signing going into the playoffs.
  17. They aren’t going to IR Beasley. so the question is who gets cut or IR’d?
  18. Hopefully he is back for the playoffs. I made the comment earlier today that this sounds like a hockey injury and that’s basically how it was reported— “lower body/week to week.” The guy probably is dealing with a bunch of stuff. Let him rest up and be back for the playoffs. He may be far from 100% the rest of the year— but I think he will gut it out. I will say that I am a little excited as to what McKenzie can do playing in the slot this week.
  19. i am with you. Playing a team 3 times is always a risk. Would rather draw the Colts or Browns.
  20. I am not good at math, but if I had the time, I would probably base my predictions like this (chances of winning): 1) Bills/Dolphins: (60/40 bills) 2) Browns/Steelers (50/50) 3) Colts/jags (100/0 colts) 4)titans/Texans (70/30 titans) 5) ravens/Bengals (80/20 ravens)
  21. I agree. The percentages in the OP seem way off. It would be nice to see what it looks like based on a weighted chance of success by each team.
