i have been saying the same thing about number 1. At least, wear a mask! Not only that— but I think the players still do those prayer huddles after the game. I think it would be better and safer for each team to basically say— no interactions with the other team or coaches pre or post game.

Agreed with your counter-arguments. The hope would be to “play the odds” that multiple “critical” players wouldn’t get sick in such a way that the schedule goes into the toilet. but an alternative to my proposal would be to start this as the conference championship round, at least.

The NFL needs to consider changing their views on covid for the playoffs. Each team should be able to basically designate 2 critical players, such that if they get covid, it will require rescheduling the game to accommodate the quarantine period. No one wants to see any of these star players get covid. If any team loses its QB due to covid, their odds of winning go almost down to zero.

If we are playing our backups against Miami, I think we are destined for a first round matchup with Baltimore. I don’t see the browns beating the Steelers backups. If both the bills and Browns lose, then 6 out of the 8 scenarios have us against Baltimore (with the other two being tenn or Indy).
