  1. haha. I thought I was the only parent who lived through that trash. What a brat.
  2. Same. I get nervous thinking about it. I can’t wait for it to happen, so I can stop feeling sick to my Stomach!
  3. People sort of forget, but we made the Rams No. 1 defense look silly. As I recall, Allen even stiff armed Donald to the ground. I know the game ended up being close due to the Rams O coming back— but I still consider a good part of that game to be dominating, especially as against their Defense.
  4. I think there may be a drop off. You can argue that Josh made Daboll look good. That’s probably partially true. But Daboll’s playcalling this year has just been superb. Unpredictable, aggressive, creative. It seems to change too week to week. His playcalling in the red zone in particular has been brilliant. Hopefully if Dorsey is the guy, he has learned enough to be able to call at least similar plays and similar games. (Though I also worry that Dorsey could go with Daboll— I don’t know how close they are).
  5. It is amazing. Before this year, josh was great against zone and pretty bad against man, as I recall. now he is great against both. i think the improvement re man is our receivers are better and Josh’s accuracy is better.
  6. Is it Saturday yet? I can’t take the stress of waiting any longer.
  7. I said the same thing above— but the reality is that it’s not going to work. Even against 6 and 7 DB sets playing zone coverage, the Bills have been carving up teams through the air. The Colts weakness is their pass defense. They could probably put 11 DB’s out there and it wouldn’t matter.
  8. Agreed. 1) on offense, run the ball, and drain the clock. 2) on defense, I would do what the Patriots did in their first game against us. Basically, play the whole game in a Dime defense, and force the Bills to beat you by running the ball with Singletary or Moss.
  9. I think it’s been due to covid. Nowhere to go basically. Even in Ohio, the curfew for bars and similar places is like 10 pm— which is why it’s sort of surprising that the Browns have Been able to get in trouble over the last few days (eg, Baker and Hunt at bar; Higgins and their LT racing).
  10. this stat is a bit misleading in terms of understating Josh’s completion percentage on deep balls. Over the last 4-5 weeks, his deep ball accuracy has improved dramatically. He is putting a lot more loft on those balls, and it’s leading to a lot more catches.
  11. I don’t get it. The Patriots draft picks and free agent acquisitions for years have been totally underwhelming.
  12. Flores clarified: ”Tua is our starter at QB. But we plan on using the #3 pick on our “closer” QB.”
  13. It really is amazing how good the ST is. Remember the years of complaining about Crossman?! this ST unit too plays with swagger— eg, they have Bass intentionally kick it high and short of the endzone m so they can go down and knock the stuffing out of the returner.
  14. exactly; I was thinking of the Kroft debacle too.
  15. good points. I don’t disagree with you on a lot of this. the concern I have is the NFL cannot see one of its star players here come down with covid through no fault of their own. And even the model teams, get a positive here and there, and then that knocks out a few others based on contact tracing. The idea I proposed a few weeks ago was basically each player can designate a protected player or two. If that person had to go on the covid list, you reschedule. To minimize issues, you could make that rule applicable to just the divisional or conference games and beyond.
  16. NFL needs to reschedule. This is going to happen to other teams. Better to set a precedent now. If critical players or coaches are out, reschedule. If it means playing the super bowl in March, so be it.
  17. Honestly, I think it’s because Colts “fans” are pretty tepid. Indianapolis isn’t really a football town. I spent a significant amount of time there during the Peyton Manning era, and the Colts’ fans are nice and interested, but their true passion is basketball. As a result, I think that’s why most people find their fans to be nice, reasonable, and friendly people. I think they enjoy their football as entertainment. If they lose this Saturday though, no one is going to be losing any sleep in Indy.
  18. I feel like at this time of year, we are all homers at heart. Many on here are predicting total blowout wins-- that could happen, but that is probably wishful thinking. Every team is good now (there are no "frauds" that snuck in); I don't think any of these playoff teams are just going to roll over and get totally blown out.
  19. YUM!! by the way, my mother makes the best stuffed mushrooms, which she stuffs with clams. It’s basically a clam casino in a mushroom— Best of both worlds.
