  1. pretty unfair, IMO. That’s enough to give them the most notable home field advantage, unlike the one we get or any other (semi-responsible) city gets.
  2. Does it seem like the titans have a lot of fans there, or is that just the artificial Crowd noise?
  3. You guys that are cruelly confuse emoji’ing me Up thread— there will be payback. Just hope you can handle the “meh’’s that are coming your way.
  4. the good thing is now there are a dozen guys just like him. The fast, short slot guy who runs jet sweeps are remarkable Easy to find.
  5. Oh no you didn’t just confuse emoji my last post!! 😃
  6. agreed. I would delete “confused.” I hate when someone “confuse” emojis me. They are toying with my emotions. Do they find me confusing, do they think I am being an idiot and so are giving me a sarcastic googly eye, or are they legitimately confused themselves? (Yeah, I have thin skin).
  7. it makes sense to spitball this. But no chance Watson gets traded for anything. You don’t trade Pro bowl franchise QBs in their prime, even for like 10 Draft picks. I think once Watson sits down with the Houston brass, this whole thing will blow over.
  8. On a related note, I wonder what research the coaches are doing today. We could end up playing the Steelers, titans, or ravens next week. Do they start on a deep dive into all three of those teams, or wait for the games to shake out Today?
  9. Thinking about this game this morning, and McDermott’s last TO saved the game. Had the play been run, it was an 11 yard completion to the sideline to Hilton at the 40-yard line, with the clock Stopped and about 12-15 seconds left. The colts could have probably gotten 5 more yards and kicked a FG.
  10. Agree completely. They are getting healthier. For instance, Spillane is back. That dude hits harder than Tyler Mankavatch and covers very well. And how can people discount Ben R, especially if he is healthier? I heard a lot of chatter about how washed up Rivers is, and he looked exactly as the same guy that always picks the Bills apart. Ben R is a wily vet, with a ton of big game experience. He’s not going to wilt in a divisional Playoff game. I would expect his best football.
  11. That is my hope. But it seems like the remaining playoff teams all have the talent in the right spots to do a lot of similar things. I think what helps is that most teams play their own styles. For example, I don’t see the Steelers rushing 3 or 4, and dropping everyone else into bend don’t break zones. That’s not their MO. They’ll blitz and mix coverages and take more risks.
  12. I don’t think anyone is disappointed. But I think there is some concern that what the colts did can be replicated, and we want to know how the Bills will respond to a similar game plan.
  13. I was thinking of posting something similar yesterday. He had an absolutely dreadful game. Especially, in coverage— he was getting schooled by the TE’s on very basic routes.
  14. Notable tidbit from Indy Star— didn’t realize we did so poorly against TE’s: Buffalo’s defense gave up 993 yards to tight ends this season, the second-most in the NFL, and Indianapolis got back into Saturday’s game by exploiting the Bills’ weakness. Jack Doyle exploded for seven catches, 70 yards and a touchdown; Mo Alie-Cox made four grabs for 32 yards; and Trey Burton picked up 34 yards on three grabs, piling up a total of 14 catches for 136 yards.
  15. You are right. I am sure there was no offensive holding. When have you ever seen a game where there hasn’t been an offensive hold?
  16. I was re-watching some of the game and looking at The colts LT. He had hands to the defender’s face on numerous passings plays. Apparently, the refs aren’t calling that anymore either.
  17. this is spot on. Also, to your point, very weird how McDermott had one of his best coaching days today in terms of game tactics (going for it, challenges, timeouts, etc.), but the coordinators’ gameplans were wonky.
  18. yeah, I think this is what’s going to happen. I think Gentry is the odd man out.
  19. Re the defense more generally, they did a nice job on Taylor. Amazingly, it was Hines who gashed them late on those draws. Hines was an impressively slippery back— was really impressed by him.
  20. If the weather next week is rough, we are going to need a power back. Yeldon gets knocked over usually by a stiff breeze. i think suiting either guy up and giving them touches is going to be a risk. So, if we are rolling the dice either way, I would rather see those touches go to Williams. What I hope happens is both Williams and Yeldon get activated, and Taiwan Jones is inactive. May hurt our ST unit— but we can’t go into a bad weather game next week without some insurance behind Devin and a power runner. Yeldon gives us some insurance to fill in for Devin, and Williams can maybe get some hard runs if we need them.
