  1. i am kind of done stressing about the weather. Hopefully at least one direction is better than the other, and we can make due. I also think we will still be able to have our intermediate routes in windy conditions. Just not going to be able to throw 40-yard passes.
  2. wouldnt we already know about Stills? I feel like they had to announce practice squad call-ups yesterday, and he wasn’t called up.
  3. it’s not so much charity. I always found the great head coaches act like CEO’s, not glorified coordinators. I have always found that Reid is basically a coordinator. He hands his defense over to a coordinator to basically handle. So the defense is always up and down. His game day management has always been poor. I think he’s a great offensive mind. Just wonder why he doesn’t want to let go and try to be a more complete head coach.
  4. i heard Bieniemy was a pretty lousy interview last year. Reid’s not really doing EB (or any of his OC’s) any favors by calling plays. He’s been a head coach forever— he seriously can’t figure out how to delegate play-calling? Reminds me of those business owners and CEO’s that are too hands on. There’s a skill in managing and delegating, while maintaining control.
  5. its really amazing to watch this again. Maybe it is just the snow in this game, but both offenses just has their way and both defenses generated no pressure. It was either TD’s or turnovers— up and down the field. Kelly and Marino just standing back there untouched, firing darts.
  6. i mostly agree with you— though I noticed since the Broncos game, he has actually developed a great loft on his deep ball now. But let’s hope he sticks with those lasers tomorrow.
  7. I am going on record here: Antonio Williams 20 carries; 130 yards. Mark it down (unless he is inactive, then don’t mark it down).
  8. Are you being sarcastic or serious? Please tell me the wind will be below 20 mph.
  9. A TJ Yeldon NFL highlight video is actually a thing?
  10. ha--same. I thought I was getting the flu during the game--shaky, hot, weak. It is so nerve-wracking. I told my wife on 4th and 10 during the Colts game that I refuse to watch-- but then came slinking back to watch Rivers's ridiculous throw over Hughes's fingertip. I watched the rest of the game on my hands and knees.
  11. If past is prologue, I will spend much of the day making periodic visits to the bathroom. Then, from 8:15-11:30, I will intersperse pacing around the room with lying prostrate on the floor.
  12. haha— I will say that I am loving cobra Kai for the nostalgia. I have ingrained in my brain every aspect of the original karate kid movies. So all the references (some very subtle) to the original movies have brought be down memory lane. by the way, if you think season 1 is over the top, you should see season 2. The end of season 2 is nuclear.
  13. i have always thought Godfather II was better than Godfather I. Maybe the only time a sequel has actually bettered the original. by the way in terms of terrible sequels, as you all may have guessed I would say, “the next karate kid” starring Hillary Swank was terrible. I won’t even mention the Karate Kid re-boot starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, which I believe should be banned in the United States.
  14. Haha. sadly, I asked my wife whether it was Thursday two different times this week— both times on Monday. I saw someone on here posting about the game “tomorrow”— that was on Wednesday.
  15. A few articles on throwing the ball in high winds. Bottom line: 1) Can’t loft the ball— need to throw on a line. 2) need to focus on intermediate and short routes. 3) wind shouldn’t be a problem 0-15 MPH. Over 20 MPH is where you see QB’s stats start to drop off. https://www.sportsrec.com/throw-football-bad-weather-conditions-4546297.html https://towardsdatascience.com/football-weather-diving-into-the-effects-of-weather-on-nfl-qb-performance-f0edb420623d
  16. I am going with a shotgun snap about 5 feet over Lamar’s head, recovered by the Bills for a TD. I believe that is a pretty common first play.
  17. re Allen against the Blitz, I do hope the Bills come out with some better options against cover zero. I think they default to that WR screen— which has worked well a few times, but I feel like has failed the last few times and has been kind of sniffed out by defenses. I think Allen does the best against the heavier blitzes when we can figure out the protections and he can find the favorable 1 on 1 matchups.
  18. man, I really am praying for the wind to be pretty calm. It would royally backfire to have gotten home field advantage to only be done in by the Buffalo weather.
  19. I think what we will find will happen is that the weather will impact both teams the same. Both sides will be stacking the box, and trying to run and with some play action or short passing stuff. The team to hit on a few big plays will win. I still like our chances.
  20. This is great stuff! My theory on this is maybe too simplistic. Bills did a nice job stopping Taylor and the run game the entire day. When they got gouged was when the colts were down in the game and in obvious passing downs. The Bills were playing pass, and the colts kept running (mostly through shotgun draws). Those were when they gave up all of those long runs. That also supports my theory that the Bills can basically do one thing well on D. They can key into either the pass or run. I think that bodes well this week, where I think they are going to just look to stop the run and force Jackson to beat them throwing.
  21. Good move for him. Pretty low stress job given no talent and no fans and no meaningful expectation. So win or lose, hopefully he will be healthy and stress free.
  22. I agree. My only thought with playing Taron Johnson a bit more is that he may give us more speed sideline to sideline on any outside read-option runs— and he is actually pretty good against the run for a DB.
