  1. well, the easiest way to shut down those hot takes would be a commanding performance this week! I am pretty excited to see if Josh is a big timer.
  2. Agree completely. it’s also set up for confirmation bias by the “independent evaluator.” Someone is really going to come in and disagree with the team doctor, who I am sure already will provide a skewed case?
  3. whats nuts is how stressed I have been for the first two games. My resting heart rate is normally in the low 50’s. I was wearing my Fitbit during last game, and basically just about every other play, it was spiking to over 100. I had to actually try to sit back and breath and relax. but this game feels like we are playing with house money. My hope is that both the players (and fans) can just have a ton of fun, and play loose. My hope for all of us is to really enjoy this game and be entertained, and of course hopefully win.
  4. Odds that Sammy makes it through that game without hurting himself again are slim to none. That said, he usually saves his best effort for this game and the super bowl.
  5. That one was ingrained in my mind, and reminds me (hopefully) of what will happen this year. The regular season game against the Chiefs was horrible--they totally shut us down and ran on us very well. I remember I was terrified of that playoff game, and especially of their D line. They had Saleamua in the middle, and he was a huge run stuffer. The Bills just basically decided that they were going to run the ball right down the chiefs' throats in the AFCCG. And that's what they did. Imposed their will. It was such a total beatdown--I think Thurman had a huge game (Want to say almost 200 yards rushing even?).
  6. Those actually worked pretty well against KC the first game we played them.
  7. It actually wouldn’t surprise me to see Kumerow activated over Stills. I think Stills is mostly a one-trick pony— sort of a better deep threat version of Robert Foster. Kumerow might give us more options.
  8. Great player; great guy. Wish him all the best. A lot of QB’s will be fighting to land with the colts. That coaching staff, run game, and oline make it a super attractive job. I bet they could get a “prove it” free agent, like a Winston or Mariotta very easily and cheaply, and then can draft someone to groom.
  9. I am surprised there were any ravens fans at the game last weekend. I assumed that they would be pretty strict about not allowing tickets to be transferred in light of covid, etc.
  10. I am hoping this changes. The entire week is supposed to be pretty clear, except Sunday. Gotta think we may see the window for this rain move (hopefully).
  11. I think Baltimore did a nice job on D. But I also blame a lot of our offensive woes on the wind. Guys were open, but throws were off or not attempted due to the wind. If Baltimore did one thing pretty well, it was bracketing Beasley. They doubled him more than I thought. If this happens this week, the Bills really need to feed John Brown a lot more. He had a lot of opportunities last week, and he will absolutely kill the chiefs if they cover him with their 3rd or 4th best DB. Cover 1 guys seem to mostly support me:
  12. Great win against Miami tonight. Defense clicking and the offense looks a lot better when the guards can make baskets. Nice to see Edwards get some minutes. Tough stretch coming up.
  13. saban just collects his buddies needing a career re-boot. What a soft landing spot. They will win a few national titles and those guys can move back into the NFL.
  14. Only the jags promote their failures. I thought for sure Marrone would land somewhere in the organization too. Good luck to Urban Meyer!
  15. I know our receivers are banged up, but I believe this game will largely depend on the play of our WR’s. In the games we have won, our receivers have made critical catches and executed at a super high level, especially in the red zone. Toe drags, diving endzone grabs, fingertip catches. We are going to need them all to bring their A games, and make championship level plays.
  16. Ready for the off-season? He’s going to be ready for this Sunday.
  17. When I re-watched the Week 6 highlights, I couldn’t even recognize the Bills. The offensive Sets looked dramatically different. The playcalling was very different, on both sides of the ball, but especially on O. And the personnel looked different too. I am not sure who all was injured, but Josh Norman seemed to get a ton of snaps (maybe Levi was out), and the D-line rotation was different. I think this game will look nothing like the first time around. I think both teams will figure out ways to throw the ball a lot more. And there is no chance the chiefs run the ball as much or as effectively. The Bills scheme and personnel is a lot better. Not saying they will shut CEH down— but he is not going to have gaping holes every play.
  18. The media chatter re Mahomes, including the stuff from the chiefs, is horribly speculative. There is a reason there is a process. No one will know anything concrete until like Friday or even Saturday.
  19. that is what is shocking when you go back and look at that game. The offense during that game looks nothing like the offense now. A lot of the game josh was under center too.
  20. is this for real? Apparently, teams just nominate their worst guys now.
  21. Anyone see any good write-ups re KC’s defensive schemes and tendencies? I know spags likes to mix it up— but curious to see what coverages he favors.
  22. the recency bias is getting comical. Literally 4 days ago they talked about how bad the Bills defense is because of what the colts did to them.
