Bills win 41-16. I think this is a big payback game. The Bills have to feel super bitter about last year, and are going to enact revenge.

agree. Those Tanny runs still stick With me. I think he had like 40 yards rushing in that game. Thankfully this defense holds contain a lot better. I think they had a ton of injuries going into that game, so I am not reading a ton into that.

I think this will be a great test for our defense, as they haven’t yet faced a running attack like this. I can totally see them loving this opportunity. Last year, with a far inferior run defense, they held Henry to 57 yards on 20 carries. (Tanny was the one who burned them with his legs). So I think they will be up for the challenge.

Agreed. A lot of fans are just looking at the point and yardage totals and think the offense must be clicking. It is clicking in the sense of getting chunk plays, but don’t think they are even close to their median, let alone ceiling. That’s why you hear Josh being disappointed and want to “clean stuff up”— even after last game. I have seen this offense in a real groove, and it is methodical and elite (think San Fran game last year)— and I think that is the type of offense that is built for consistent Success, including in the playoffs. i think we will see it soon, as they are still trying to piece together all the new wrinkles and personnel packages. But when they hit on it, they will be impossible to stop.

i actually was and still Am proud of Norman. There are few, if any, other cornerbacks in the NFL that would have gone up like that against Henry. Stefon Gilmore would have dove out of bounds.

Good point. I think that is a fair inference— no use of a weapon and therefore more in the heat of the moment.

This reminds me a little of when Pete Carroll last year was convinced that the way to stop the Bills was to stop the run. It’s like he watched one prior Bills game. If the Titans’ plan is to stop the deep bombs and Allen runs, we will absolutely kill them. This feeds into Josh’s strength— which is the intermediate passing game. Diggs and Beasley could end up with like 10 catches each.

reading some articles on this, experts are speculating that this had to have been a “manual” strangulation (with hands). If a ligature strangulation (with an object), the injuries would be such that the 3-4 week delay would be really hard to pinpoint cause of death as strangulation.

It has to be Bryce Paup. That was such a splash signing and then he went on to get 17 sacks and win DPOY. BTW, Paup and Spencer Brown are both alumni of Northern Iowa!

This is a weird spot to be in for us Bills fans. Normally We are rooting to better position ourselves for the playoffs. But given our SOS, I don’t think anyone can catch us. We have a great shot of losing no more than 2 or 3 games this entire season.

Agreed. We are healthy and trending up. I still don’t think we have played a complete game yet, as scary as that is. BTW, what really drove me nuts last year were all those long Tanny runs.

I am so bitter about last year’s game.
