  1. whoa. They’re really going to try to play man against the Bills? Good luck with that.
  2. Beaz seems to be fine. Last game had less to do with injury and more to do with ravens doubling him a ton. That is major respect. I doubt the Chiefs will do that or be able to do that and leave other guys more open.
  3. Not disagreeing with you-- but I had read that this upcoming weather is a bit funky, and harder to predict. It's like an unusual collision of an odd cold and warm front right within the KC area. By the way, I have not seen a lot of differing views re the wind-- seems like 10 MPH or so. Is that what you have seen?
  4. the other interesting thing about this game is seeing which weather service ends up being right. NFL weather is still predicting very little chance of rain. http://nflweather.com/en/game/2020/ conf-championships/bills-at-chiefs
  5. I remember that game so vividly. After we lost, it wasn't even really a let down. You just knew that next year would be our year.
  6. Given KC’s preference to play a lot of dime, I am curious whether we end up running a lot of 10 personnel this week. Could we come out in a fair amount of 1 or even 2-TE sets?
  7. the forecast is fluctuating a bit now. I don’t think we will have much certainty until Saturday, if I had to guess. Just a few hours ago it was like 1% chance of rain.
  8. ahh— the ole point differential now used against our enemies!! How the tides have turned.
  9. He seems like a long shot. As a new head coach, I want a coordinator who has called plays before.
  10. Reminds me of the Jim Tomsula presser and tenure in San Fran.
  11. I appreciate all the talking heads trying to analyze this game. But this game is impossible to predict. People are trying to read too much into the week 6 game and the Bills’ prior playoff games. I don’t think anyone knows whether this will be a shoot out, whether the defenses will blitz or mostly cover, whether the Bills D will go back into a similar shell as last time, how much both teams will pass or run. One of these teams could win by 17 points, or it could be a 3-point game. It could be a low scoring 24-21 type game or it could be a high scoring 42-35 type game. Maybe unlike any of the prior playoff games, this one has a million variables.
  12. Agreed. It’s a perfect fit for both sides. I still don’t think he will develop into anything special though.
  13. haha. I was actually thinking I need to basically replicate what I did before and just smash some more Frank’s on the sidewalk.
  14. I actually decided to try to make something small for last game as opposed to my usual (which is taking 2 sips of water). Went to the store before the game and on my way out dropped the Frank’s hot sauce from my bag. It shattered on the sidewalk. I was convinced it was a bad omen for the game— caused me even more stress!!
  15. I am pretty sure the Bills would be handling it the very opposite of what the chiefs are doing. They seem to be great about medical and health issues. You wouldn’t see McD spitballing about how it was “wind knocked out of him” too.
  16. I have been hoping for a weather shift like this all week! I think for wind generally, so long as it is below 15-20 MPH, it should pose fewer problems.
  17. Weird. Here is the opposite take: “With Breeland and fellow cornerback Rashad Fenton both dealing with health issues, K.C. could definitely have trouble containing Buffalo's talented receiving corps, particularly when it comes to the first-team All-Pro in the group ...” https://www.nfl.com/news/championship-sunday-mismatches-will-pack-torch-bucs-on-early-downs-can-chiefs-st
  18. what’s weird is that the weather has not moved at all since last Sunday. You would think there would be some movement or fluctuation. Here’s hoping that the rain gets pushed off a day. FYI: this site provides a quarter by quarter breakdown of the weather: http://nflweather.com
  19. I stressed out all last week about the weather. Can’t do it again. Can’t control it. I just hope that we factor the weather into how we call the game. Can’t be throwing bombs in 25 MPH gusts again.
  20. DiMarco: “hey, coach. Call my number on a bomb. I know I can do it.” Daboll: “done.”
  21. i hear you. Maybe I didn’t phrase the point I was making quite right, or maybe I am changing it altogether—haha. Each of these games get bigger and bigger, and the experience in playing in them is so invaluable. i don’t expect a young QB to go out and dominate or win in his first conference championship or super bowl. Most guys don’t. But with each step of growth in these big games, it’s so awesome for his long-term development. I am excited for him to get this opportunity to show his stuff.
  22. agreed! I don’t really care what the talking heads say, and the win is the most important thing. And regardless of the stats, I would love to see Josh just own it— just show that the stage isn’t too big for him and play his game.
